The History of Redemption at Christmas

00:49: Good evening, everyone. We are very glad to see you. Our children are going to be ministering to us tonight in a variety of ways, and I hope you've been anticipating this time together.
01:03: It's a great time every year when the kids minister to us through song and the Word of God.
01:08: So, before they start, let's pray, shall we? Oh, Father, we're thankful for the children that you have given us.
01:16: We're thankful that they have the opportunity of ministering to us.
01:22: You have said, out of the mouths of babes come your praise, and so these young people and little children,
01:30: Lord, can praise you as well as they recite your Word, as they sing praises, and so we anticipate your blessing upon us tonight.
01:38: Thank you for these, in Jesus' name, amen. And here beneath life's crushing flood,
03:23: Whose floods are red and blue, The joy of the
03:35: Lord's presence flows. When darkness beside the ways are hastening on,
04:03: And prophecy in our heart, And with the ever -slipping years
04:13: Shall come their time foretold, And peace shall over all the earth
04:22: Its anxious splendors flee. And all the world give back the song
04:32: Which now the angels sing. For the
05:48: Son, when time comes to finally go,
05:54: They are weak, but He is strong. Yes, Jesus was weak,

10:21: What a foretaste of deliverance! Birds fill the sky, the fish fill the sea,
11:47: Noisy, happy, God saw that it was good.
11:59: God poured into His nostrils the breath of life.

12:33: Now the shrimp was more crafty than any of the wild animals the
13:01: Lord God had made. He said to the woman, Did God really say you must not eat from any tree in the garden?
13:08: God did say we can eat from the trees in the garden except for the one in the middle of the garden.
13:15: You will not surely die, for God knows your eyes would be open, and you would be like God, knowing good and evil.
13:25: Now the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eyes, and also desirable for gaining wisdom.
13:33: She took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
13:39: Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked. So they sewed thick leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
14:42: In the bleak midwinter, waters that stain, heaven and earth shall flee away when
15:08: He comes to reign. In the bleak midwinter, a saintly list of God reminding
15:25: Jesus Christ, angels and archangels may have gathered there.
15:39: Cherubim and seraphim from the air but only

19:33: And so they traveled on and on until they came to Bethlehem. So Mary and Joseph went to the stables and stayed among the cattle and sheep.
20:40: That night Mary had her baby, and she wrapped Him in pieces of cloth and laid
20:47: Him in the manger. The crib for our

25:33: And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby keeping watch over their flocks at night.
26:07: An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.
26:19: Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.
26:33: Today in the town of David a savior has been warned. He is the Messiah of the world.
26:43: This will be a sign to you. You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and weighing in a manger.
26:51: Suddenly a great company of the heavenly hosts appeared with the angel, praising
26:57: God and saying, Glory to God in the highest heaven!

29:41: So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph and the baby who was lying in the manger.
29:48: When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child.
29:57: And all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherd said to them.
30:03: But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.
30:08: The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
30:37: Let's go to Bethlehem and see this faithful pastor that the Lord has told us about.
31:17: ♪ Wise men and precious gifts shall be ♪
34:29: After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem.
34:45: So Herod called together all the people's chief priests and teachers of the law. He asked them where the
34:51: Messiah was to be born. Where is this Messiah going to be born? In Bethlehem in Judea, for this is what the prophet has written.
35:05: For you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judea, are by no means least among the rulers of Judea, for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people
35:19: Israel. Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared.
35:28: Go and search carefully for the child, and as soon as you find him.
35:40: After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.
35:49: When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother
35:54: Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
36:03: And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.
36:41: Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a son. The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son and will call him
36:48: Emmanuel. And we know in all things, God works for the good of those who love him.
36:54: God is for us, take me against us. He did not spare his own son, but gave his life for it, gave him up for us all.
37:06: How can he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? ♪ A son shall be given who can see, ♪ ♪
37:41: A man may diminish beauty.
37:47: ♪ ♪ The glory of the nation, the life for all to see, ♪ ♪
37:56: And hope for all grace is more reality.
38:04: ♪ ♪ Emmanuel, and if God is with us, ♪ ♪
38:21: Emmanuel, and if God is with us, Emmanuel, Emmanuel.
38:30: ♪ ♪ For all those who live in the shadow of death, ♪ ♪
38:38: A glorious life has come.
38:48: ♪ ♪ To stumble in the darkness, behold, your life has come.
38:59: ♪ Emmanuel, our
39:05: God is with us, and if God is with us, who can stand against us?
39:17: Our God is with us, Emmanuel. So what will be your answer?
39:29: Oh, will He lead you home? For Him who did not spare
39:36: His Son, but gave Him for us all. On earth, there
39:42: He'll never separate us from the love of God in Christ.
39:58: Emmanuel, our God is with us, and if God is with us, who can stand against us?
40:14: Our God is with us, Emmanuel. Emmanuel, our
40:22: God is with us, and if God is with us, who can stand against us?
40:38: Our God is with us, Emmanuel. Please stand and sing the last verse of Joy to the
42:38: World with us. You may be seated.
43:57: Well, I don't think there's anything else I can say.
44:03: I think they said it all. What a great time. Listen, don't be shy. You know, we know we want to do everything to the glory of God, but don't be shy in telling
44:13: His instruments that they did okay. That they were great, okay? I'm going to pray, and then we'll be dismissed to the back.
44:23: You can see the kids, tell them how they did. And you can, my guess is they're going to have the kids go in first,
44:33: I'm not sure, but go on through. Start the line when you get back there, and enjoy some of the food and snacks back there, and fellowship with one another.
44:42: So let's stand, shall we? And we'll be dismissed here in prayer. God of Heaven, what a delight it is to see the blessings that you have given us in these children.
44:58: Praise your name, and give us your word, and do it in a way that causes us to see your great blessings to us in the
45:09: Lord Jesus. We thank you for those who have devoted their time to helping the children.
45:17: We pray, Lord, that through this whole thing, they themselves have learned something of the
45:22: Lord Jesus, and will find refuge in Him. Thank you again for tonight, and we pray that as we are in the back, we would honor you in our fellowship.
