Is there a bully in your pulpit? What are the signs? How can you tell if a shepherd is praying on the flock of Christ?
Well, if you haven't yet downloaded the Wrath & Grace Universe app, you need to. On this app, you'll have access to books and sermons and funny moments, teaching series, movies, podcasts, and music, which is what
I want to tell you about today. Wrath & Grace produces some great music, and their new album, The Resistance, includes a song titled,
Bully Pulpit, which addresses the issues of spiritual abuse head -on, something that I also expose on my channel.
The lyrics discuss the abuse of authority, lack of accountability, and manipulative tactics that bullies or outright false teachers use to take advantage of God's people.
One line says something that I often see in my comments when I nope popular teachers. Listen to this. He's a victim of slander, but you're just being prideful.
He's the man of God. You're just some guy with his Bible. He's got a board of elders. You ain't got no one besides you.
They're appointed by God. This your day of reprisal. Trying to settle a feud is divisive menace, and you might entice the brethren living.
Why would I let him in, demonize and discredit him? Why would I even question if pastor prayerfully considered this?
Bro, that's some pious rhetoric. The song then offers an exhortation to fight for the purity of the pulpit, and advice on what to look for in what characterizes a godly pastor.
It's really good, so especially if you are into Christian rap and lyrical theology, you're going to want to check out
Bully Pulpit on the new album The Resistance, which you can find on the Wrath and Grace Universe app.
