That is why Christ came. To think that we can do anything to earn God's justice or favor or right standing is a mockery of what

Why a ransom? Why did Jesus have to give his life as a ransom for many, for those who would believe in him?

There are people who say that you are a man, that you are a prophet. And Christ then asked

Pharisees pray in vain, in repetition. They offer vain prayers of repetition before God.

And God says, Jesus said that He does not hear them because they pray in vain, because they do not believe in Christ and they do not turn to Christ alone.
