The Lordship of Jesus Christ — Roy Daniel

Good evening, good afternoon, people can take everything else from you, but they can't take away Jesus, and that makes life wonderful, no matter what happens. I'm going to speak today on the topic of the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the Lordship of Jesus Christ in our lives.

It's wonderful, wonderful, wonderful to be here. Father, thank you so much for assisting Jesus Christ to sanctify the real life truth, and thank you for that truth. The two edges saw, the Bible and Galileo, to testify of the truth.

Jesus Christ is a part of that covenant, to testify of the truth. Thank you that you came, my Lord, to reward my dearly beloved. I just ask today, Lord, that you'll be with me, that you'll speak through me, that you'll let your truth resound through this hall, dear Father.

That you'll speak to every heart sitting here, standing with me, and you'll bind it in these hands, my Lord, in Jesus Christ. And that you will be in a very special way, Lord, because I could do nothing without you.

Jesus Christ’s Authority Over Every Area of Life

And I thank you, Lord, that you will be here, that you will help me, that you'll give me every single word that I speak tonight, which is all for me. In Jesus Christ's name, my dear Lord and Savior. Now Acts 2 verse 36 says, Therefore has all the household, both Lord and Supreme, people in evangelical church, I don't think anybody over here in this area, be so careful, I'm a man of mission, I'm a Christian, and I just like to think of something.

I'm not going to push this argument, all I'm going to do is I'm going to let you ask you to think about it. A hundred years back, there was a differentiation between girls' dress and boys' dress. And I've heard hundreds of people say, they don't know, differentiating everything in the book, but the point of what I'm getting at is, it was Hollywood.

They came out of drugs, and drink, and sin, and he got wonderfully saved. He wasn't from a conservative, he met his wife in a bar. They both put on, but I never knew, men weren't going to indeed. But his wife went and said, you have to make a stand for Jesus, even if it costs everything, it costs all your money, you can't just be neutral, you have to make a stand.

My dad was on drugs, my dad was a rebel. Their standards were so high. I mean, big people, small people. I can contrast it with true riches, and you can't contrast it with earthly riches. I've met some givers, by the way, that are really worldly.

Giving, Motives, and the Condition of the Heart

I've met a guy who gives anything away, but the world is in chaos in many areas, but giving doesn't make you a wonderful Christian. But giving to your heart is one of the things God's eyes have. As long as you have them, they connect you to other areas.

The Bible talks about evil eyes, it's people who don't want to give. The first thing you should give to is your family. The second is to other Christians in need, and the third is to move to God, as written in the Bible, that way.

You know, I remember in Africa there was a lovely young Christian. There are Christians there, I can't believe how they give. You know what I love? They give their nice pennies. They don't give them their much, they give them their little.

And, I remember this one, he always lived to give his salary away. What if I had a hundred dollars as my salary? And every single day, my father would be praising himself, and he used to give him money.

He laid out their lives for the brethren. So we've looked so far, the area of speech is an area, of our eyes is an area, of our thoughts is an area, of our body is an area, of our clothes, dress, money.

Guarding Against Religious Bondage and Cultural Compromise

Now I'd like to look back at the area. We had a strong millennium when we were called Christians. At the same time, we've got the major denominations of America, 20 ,000 members, churches, right? They manage this to take two minutes, and they're not going to go from the feelings, but often you want to feel like it's going to be able to get out, and program your day, how you're looking, and say, where can I get a time to talk?

Bondage and rules have just happened to us once. I made one big mistake with my younger brother. I made one big mistake with my younger brother. I bought someone for the Lord, Glenn Price, a wonderful, godly young person.

I now die for him, I dare to the Lord, and we've come on fire together, we've loved each other, we're wonderful friends, God, but I neglected my younger brother for money, and my younger brother said, I would do this to get back my brother, so that I could be a godly influence in his life.

You're going to win your family by preaching to them, you're going to win your family by getting a ball with them. When you've won their heart, then you have the right to live their lives. Please, don't make the mistake I made one year, of losing the influence of your younger brother, spend time with them, have fun with them.

All the brothers, all the sisters, spend time with your family, so that you can win their hearts, and you can be a good influence in their lives. Some of the years of Jesus, when they don't know, when he put fingers there, these people drove nine to move their mouth, and under a few of their lips, so that their heart could sparkle.

Outward Religion Versus a Heart Devoted to God

There's so many people, who on the outside are honoring God, on the outside they're singing, on the outside, they're going to Africa on mission trips, on the outside, they're doing so many things for God, but their heart is far from God again.

They say Jesus is God, they pray Jesus is God, they talk of Jesus as being God, but when it comes to the elements of their life, when he's at God, when they're struggling, when they're tired, then Jesus Christ is not love.

The rest of God, they're choosing their own sins. Jesus said, follow me. Jesus Christ said, he meant that from that moment, Christ will become the center of your life, his will, himself, everything about him, will become the center of your life.

Following Jesus Under His Authority

When Jesus said, follow me, they chose him, and they walked with him, wherever he went. And it's the same today, when Jesus Christ calls you, he calls you to come under his authority, in every area of your life, not to go your own way, but to live for him.

Surrendering Music, Clothing, and Every Personal Preference

And you know, some people, some people think, when I'm preaching this, that I'm trying to steal from people's clothes, that I'm trying to shop for people, and stuff like this. There's nothing of that in my heart.

The only thing in my heart, the only thing in my heart, when I'm preaching this service, I long, I long for my heart, and all heaven knows it, for young people, who have done with the world, in every area of their life, who have given up their music taste, everything on earth, they've given up the world, they've truly not just seen themselves, the cross before me, the world behind me, but they live it.

And Jesus Christ is the center of their life, He's born, He's died, and Jesus shall, I long for young people like that. Not just people, doing a lot of things for God, but people who are living it, because Jesus and He's born in the center of their life, and they'd rather die, than do things that weren't good for Jesus.

I long for young people like that. And I mean so dearly, all people, in every area, just recite the word, and stand up for Jesus Christ, and live for Him alone. He will be enough for them, even if they have to do prayers for the Lord, and prayers for so many things, and so on and so on.

But Jesus Christ alone will be enough for them. And I just ask you, Father, that you work in every single heart, sitting here tonight, please, dear Father, work in their hearts, through the many trials that are coming, through the many things that are coming, to always allow Jesus Christ, He's born in this heart, and He'll come first in every single area of their life.

Repentance and Fullness of Forgiveness in Christ

And don't get discouraged, which is what we're looking for today. When Jesus died, and when people are compromising, I ask you, and I have mercy, dear Father, to work in their lives, as you've worked in so many young people's lives, because it's wrong.

Work in their lives, do not play around with God, to break and sin in the areas which they are compromising, please, if you can't do this with mercy, but to find the fullness and forgiveness of Jesus Christ.

I ask this in Jesus Christ's name, my dear Lord and Saviour, thank you that you will work, thank you that you will work.
