Welcoming the Congregation and Seeking God’s Direction

Well, I greet you in the name of the Lord Jesus this morning. I also want to welcome all the visitors that are here with us. I know you are here for many different reasons. Some of you because of baptism.

Some maybe you visiting friends and you are here because of that. And some maybe you came from afar just to be here this morning. God bless you all. You are welcome. Come worship with us. Come sit at His feet.

Come learn from the Word of God. Come let God direct our feet today. Shall we pray together? Yes, Father. That's what we are going to do, Lord. Come sit at anybody else's feet. We want to sit at Your feet this morning.

We pray, Lord, that You'll come. Settle down upon our hearts. Give us the witness of Your Spirit in our hearts, God. As we listen to the Word of God. Oh, Lord. We look away from ourselves this morning.

We put our trust and confidence in Thee. Wash us, Lord. Wash us in the blood. The blood of Your dear Son. All of us, Lord, as we sit here this morning. Cleanse us, God. Every attitude. Every word. Every action, Lord.

Cleanse us in the blood and fill us. We can't go on, Lord. One step with the Holy Ghost, Lord. We trust You for this. We thank You. Amen. You should relax. This is not an impromptu communion service, in case you were wondering.

But simply an illustration. The Lord Jesus taught us very well in the Scriptures. How to use simple illustrations to bring forth profound truth. And that's what I'd like to do this morning with what we have here in the front.

We'll get to that a little later on in the message. My heart is still savoring the sweet spirit of last Wednesday night's brother's meeting. I know that all of you were not in that brother's meeting. I trust many of you, children and wives, heard about it from your husbands and fathers.

But for those of us that were there, that was one sweet brother's meeting that we had. Such an openness. Such a concern. Such a vehement desire to go the right way as a congregation. You know, congregations need that kind of a heart attitude.

In these days that we live in, we dare not allow our hearts to rise up with confidence and think we know what we're doing. But rather, that we keep ourselves low to the ground, pleading with our God that He would lead us by His Spirit through this pilgrim land that we live in.

On our way to glory. Well, that was the attitude in our brother's meeting on Wednesday night. And it seems to me that that same spirit prevailed in the prayer meeting here yesterday morning. Some of you were in that prayer meeting.

And God blessed us. And I believe God blessed us on Wednesday night. And I believe God blessed us on Saturday morning. Because our hearts are open and tender and teachable and wanting to be guided. So, I want to be a father to you this morning and provoke your thoughts and maybe challenge some of your actions.

And I'm sure I will stimulate some discussion by the message this morning. I tremble in my heart to share some of the things that are on my heart this morning. But as we all know, we ministers, we really don't have a choice in this thing, you know.

We are servants of the living God. And God has been dealing with my own heart on the subject of this morning's hour for six months. So, what I share with you, God has also been dealing with me in the early morning hours in my quiet time.

The Day That Belongs to the Lord

I would like to speak this morning on the subject, the Lord's Day. The Lord's Day. God has been convicting me for six months about my view of the Lord's Day. And how that view gets worked out in everyday life from one Lord's Day to the next and the next and the next.

So, I want you to know that this morning. I'm not just addressing your needs but I'm also addressing my own needs as God has already done in my heart. The Lord has been convicting me about our family's view of the Lord's Day.

So, I started praying about it. As those first impressions came, I started praying about it. Lord, what are you saying here? What is your heart on this subject? And oh, how gracious God is when you begin to pray a prayer like that.

And you find yourself going through the Bible over and over and over again. Through those verses, through them again, through the New Testament again. God is very gracious to shine His light on His Word and answer the cry of the heart.

And that's where I'm at this morning. I would like to share some of my thoughts with you which God has shared with me. The Lord's Day. That's not the title of the message. Rather, let me give the title this way.

If you take the Greek, that little phrase, the Lord's Day, in the Greek and translate it out word for word into the English, it reads like this. The day that belongs to the Lord. The day that belongs to the Lord.

Isn't that beautiful? When you do this from the Greek to the English, you get the possessive nature of this little phrase. The day that belongs to the Lord. And I think for all of us that we hold the Lord's Day as a special day.

So some of what I'm saying is preventative maintenance. It's just simply encouraging us in the direction of that which we already see. But I want to look more deeply into God's heart and maybe challenge some of how we live out this day that belongs to the Lord.

You know, as I look at the American church, I think that probably most of them would acknowledge that statement. They would say, yes, this is the Lord's Day. But in reality, if we were to have to give a title to how they live the day, we would have to say they believe in the service that belongs to the Lord.

But not in a day that belongs to the Lord. So let's go back to this phrase which we find used in other places in the Scripture. And you can turn there if you want. 1 Corinthians 11 and also 1 Corinthians 10.

I'm not going to read the verses, but I want to show you the phrase. It is used several times in the Scripture. In 1 Corinthians 11 we find these words, the Lord's Supper. Or, same thing, the supper that belongs to the Lord.

The Lord's Supper is the supper that belongs to the Lord. We are all very familiar with these elements here on the table this morning. We have a communion service planned. I think it's October the 9th where we will gather here on a Sunday evening and we will see just what we are seeing right here this morning.

We'll see a loaf of bread and we will see a pitcher of wine. New wine, which we will pick up in our hands and eat that bread and drink that cup. And we call it the Lord's Supper. Or, going to 1 Corinthians 10, we would say this is the Lord's Table.

If we were a small fellowship, like some fellowships do, we might just gather around this table and partake of the Lord's Table. That is the Lord's Table. It is a table that belongs to the Lord. Notice the possessive nature of that statement.

The Lord's Supper. We also find these words in 1 Corinthians 11, the Lord's Death. For as oft as ye eat this bread and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord's death till he comes. And also, Paul warns us in this Scripture that if we eat of this bread and drink of this cup unworthily, God will judge us because we are not discerning the Lord's body.

Or the body that belongs to the Lord. So when we look at this phrase in other places, it helps us also to understand what the phrase the Lord's Day is. And what it means. In 1 Corinthians 10, Paul uses the word the Lord's Cup and also the Lord's Table, which we have already looked at.

Now it's easy for us to see the possessive nature of these phrases. And all of us, we can clearly understand what God's heart is there. However, God does not want us to mix anything up with His Supper.

In fact, that was what Paul's controversy was there when he said, It is not the Lord's Supper that you are eating when you gather together. You may be gathering together, but you are not gathering together to eat the Lord's Supper.

Now if you will allow me just for a moment, for the sake of illustration, to help us to understand how different it is if you start mixing other things up with the Lord's Supper. This is exactly what the people were doing in the days of Paul at the Corinthian church.

They were just getting together and having a nice meal and eating and having a good time together. And Paul had to write them and say, Oh my brethren, this is not the Lord's Supper. This is not the Supper that belongs to the Lord.

And so we have a children's lesson this morning, all you children. This is not the Supper that belongs to the Lord. Now there's nothing wrong with a Coca-Cola. I drink Coca-Cola. And there's nothing wrong with Fritos.

In fact, I appreciate Fritos. But when you put them into the midst of the other elements that are on this table, we quickly begin to realize they don't fit. We won't leave them sitting there anymore. And I trembled even a bit just to do that.

But I wanted you to get the idea. Because that is the picture that comes to our heart when we see that phrase, The Lord's Day. See, John is the one who made that phrase. And it's only one time in the New Testament.

John was giving his testimony as he was on the Isle of Patmos and said, I was in the Spirit on the day that belongs to the Lord. It's easy to see the possessive nature of these phrases. It is also easy to see that the Lord is jealous over the purity of each one of these phrases.

Whether it be the Lord's Supper, the Lord's Table, the Lord's Body, the Lord's Death, or the Lord's Day. God is jealous. Over the meaning of each one of those and He is possessive over every one of them.

The Early Church and the Decline of the Lord’s Day

If we study history, evidence is unquestionable. That the early church, that in the days of the Apostle, they kept the Lord's Day. It was a special day to them. They transferred their pure hearted desire to honor the Lord in one day of every seven into the Lord's Day.

In fact, I don't know if you ever thought about it before, but Pentecost was on the Lord's Day. They were in the Spirit on the Lord's Day when the day of Pentecost was fully come and the Holy Ghost was poured out upon them.

And as far as I understand it, the Church of Jesus Christ was formed. That took place on the Lord's Day. There are many, many accounts that we could give and I'm not going to give a lot this morning, just to tell you that if you will study it out, you will find out that it's very clear that the early church set aside the first day of the week to honor and bless the Lord Jesus Christ.

They did that. Tertullian wrote in 200 A .D., The Lord's Day is the holy day of the Christian church. We have nothing to do with a Jewish Sabbath. The Lord's Day is the Christian solemnity. Eusebius, the historian, wrote in 260 A .D., From the beginning, Christians assembled on the first day of the week called by them the Lord's Day.

Many of the early church fathers would not use the word Sunday. That was a word back in those days. But they wouldn't use the word Sunday. They would go like this for them. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, the Lord's Day.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, the Lord's Day. It was that sweet and special to them. It was the day that belonged to the Lord. So what has happened here in America? That's the question this morning.

Things have really changed. And there's not too many old ones in this room this morning that could rise and tell us how much things have really changed. But I'm telling you, things have really changed in America.

Sixty years ago, you couldn't find a place of business hardly anywhere that was open. There were no sporting events on the Lord's Day. Busy cities were quiet, looked a little bit like ghost towns on the Lord's Day.

Highways were deserted and restaurants were empty. Even the people who didn't worship God took a day of rest. God's people so sanctified the nation that even the heathen rested one day a week. Because there wasn't anything open.

Hallelujah! It was the day that belongs to the Lord. But things have really changed. Now, the Lord's Day is a shopping day. The Lord's Day is my day off. Now, the Lord's Day is recreation day. Everybody needs a little recreation, you know.

So now the Lord's Day is recreation day. The Lord's Day is a day to go out to eat in the restaurants, which, by the way, are packed full of professing Christians by the millions on the Lord's Day everywhere you go.

Most of the people in Christendom today do not have a nice meal at home after church is over, and have a family over. They go out for pizza. The Lord's Day, in these days, you find the highways are crowded with people.

And the Lord's Day is the sports day of the week. Things have really changed, haven't they? How do you think God is looking at all this carnal activity? That's a worthy question for us to ponder this morning.

So, what has happened? What happened in the last sixty years that brought us from where we were to where it is today? First and foremost, the hearts of God's people grew cold. You can be sure that that was the beginning of the end of the Lord's Day.

The hearts of God's people grew cold. And number two, false teachings have come in to convince God's people in mass that it's just like any other day. In the 1940s, the teaching began to prevail in the Christian church in America.

The teaching that I am free from the law because I am now under grace. And maybe that phrase is familiar to you, and maybe you even use the phrase. But I would say this morning that phrase needs some definition.

I'm free from the law because I am now under grace. What does this mean? Free? Free from what? Free from being justified by the law? Amen! You are! We are no longer justified by the works of the law, but we are justified by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

If that's what you mean when you say you're free from the law and you are now under grace, I say, Amen! We are no longer bound to a system of laws, and that we must do them all in order to be just before God.

Christ has come. He died. He was buried. And He rose again on the third day for our justification. And all who look to Him in faith, believing with a repentant heart, receive eternal life. Praise God!

If free from the law means I'm free from being bound to keep all the law of Moses, I would say, Amen! That's right. But I'm not free from God's moral law. God said, I am the Lord and I change not. Free from the ceremonial laws of the Old Testament, yes.

Free from the judicial laws of the Old Testament which God placed upon Israel, yes. We are free from those. Free from the dietary laws which God imposed upon Israel, yes. You are free from those. But you are not free from God's moral law.

God's moral law is unchanging. God's moral law, it is the revelation of God's holy, righteous character. And we are not free from that. Christ has come and condemned sin in the flesh. Hallelujah! Why?

That the righteousness of the law, God's moral law, might be fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Isn't that good news this morning? Christ condemned sin in the flesh when He went to the cross.

But we see the reason why He did go to the cross. That the righteousness, the moral righteousness of God's moral law, might be fulfilled in us, lived out in a beautiful way, in all those who walk not after the flesh, but choose to walk after the Spirit.

Grace, Moral Law, and Holy Living

But in the 1940s, a teaching came forth. I'm free from the law because I am under grace. And from that teaching, all kinds of destructive things have been taking place. And you look around you today and see what you have.

God's people and the ministers. Woe to the ministers. But the ministers began to tell the people that it doesn't matter. We're free. We're in Christ. All those things don't matter anymore. Isn't it amazing how deceitful Satan can be?

That he can take a people who created a society like I just described to you back in the 1940s, and turned it into a society that runs itself like a rat race 24 -7, 7 days a week. And now today, and this is not unusual, you will find them by the multitudes, slipping into church at 9 o 'clock, staring at the clock so the preacher gets done by 10 .30, and out the door they go to get in a good day of play.

Because it's my day off. Yes. Oh, wavering church in America. Yes. Okay, so you're going to be free from the law, eh? Well, let's just see where that leads you in 60 years' time. The way that you judge a doctrine is to walk it out a little ways and see what kind of a life it produces.

And we all know what kind of a life it has produced. The Lord's day was lost, along with many other things, in this erroneous teaching. Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who was alive in the 1940s, who died for his faith in Germany, he called it cheap grace.

Men stood up and cried against it. There were men who stood up and cried against it, but it continued to prevail. C .T. Studd, the famous African missionary, who was a soldier of Jesus Christ, finally, in despair, wrote letters to the Bible colleges in the United States, and this is what he said to them, Send me no more missionaries who make a boast of being under grace and have nothing to do with the law.

I don't have use for any more of them. That's what C .T. Studd said. To take God's unchanging moral law and throw it in there with the ceremonial law and the judicial law, and then to say that I'm free from the law is a grave mistake.

But that is what has happened. And undiscerning sheep have looked at it all piled together there and thrown the baby out with the bathwater. Paul said, I delight in the law of God after the inward man.

When you read there in Romans chapter 7, as Paul is speaking about all the struggle that was going on inside of his heart, he's not talking about offering the sacrifices and washings and all of those.

He's talking about God's moral law. God's moral law came, sin revived, and I died. Paul said, The moral law of honoring the Lord by setting aside one day in seven has not been done away, brothers and sisters.

Jesus’ Teaching on the Sabbath

Let's look at the principle in the Bible now. The principle of sanctifying one day in seven to honor the Lord and to turn our attention away from everything else and on to Him. Our Lord Jesus said some very beautiful words that are worthy for us to meditate upon this morning.

He was rebuking the Pharisees. You know, He challenged them about their view of the Sabbath. But in His challenges, He reminded them the perspective of the Sabbath in the heart of God. He said, the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.

Jesus was looking at these Pharisees and saying, You are making man the servant of the Sabbath. You are wrong. The Sabbath was made to be a servant to man. Now, that's two totally different views of a day to honor the Lord at every seven.

But that is exactly what was happening there. The Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath. It was instituted by God for the benefit of man. And I want you to notice this. It was not instituted by God for the Jews.

It was instituted by God for the benefit of human beings. Long before there was a Jew, it was instituted by God. Just like marriage was instituted by God in the beginning for the blessing of man, so also the Sabbath was instituted by God for the service of man, for man's benefit and man's blessing.

Man is not to serve the Sabbath. But the Sabbath was made to serve man. If you study the teachings of Jesus, and I want you to note this, because many of these teachers have taken the teachings of Jesus because Jesus blasted the Pharisees about their view on the Sabbath.

They take that and say, See there? It's all hogwash. Throw it all away. But Jesus was not telling them that it's all hogwash. He was just telling them, Your view of it is totally wrong. He was correcting the legalistic abuses, the strict overbearing view that the Pharisees had about it.

We are told that they had a book this thick of Sabbath laws. Man was serving the Sabbath in the days when Jesus walked upon the earth. And he saw right through it. He saw what they were doing. And he reproved them and corrected them.

But he didn't throw the Sabbath out the window. Many have taken those many verses and rested them to their own destruction. Jesus was showing and teaching them three basic things about the Sabbath. One, it is for works of piety.

Two, works of necessity are allowed. Remember? If the sheep falls into a hole, you can go and get it out. You know, this morning we have five little calves at our house. We fed them this morning. That's a necessity.

We need to feed them. They were fed this morning. The steers, they ate this morning. Works of necessity and works of mercy. And this is where the Lord Jesus fired so clearly upon those Pharisees that they, in the blindness of their own hearts, would stoop to take a sheep out of a hole that he fell into, but wouldn't allow the Lord Jesus to touch a man who was wounded and broken and sick and tormented.

Creation, the Sabbath, and God’s Moral Order

They wouldn't allow him to do that because it was the Sabbath day. And their view. Let's turn now and look back to creation for just a few moments. Can we go there? If you want to consider this whole subject, you have to go back to Genesis chapter 2.

That's where it begins. Chapter 2, verse 1,. Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. Hallelujah. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made.

And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because that in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made. Now, I don't know how closely you've studied the Ten Commandments, but when you come to the fourth commandment, where God told the children of Israel, remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy or set apart.

I want you to also notice there, it's in Exodus chapter 20, we're not going to turn there this morning for time, but if you'll notice there, when God gave those words to the children of Israel, and they heard them with their very ears the first time, and it so made them tremble that they went to Moses and said, Moses, we fear to hear God's voice.

You go talk to Him, ask Him what He wants us to do, and come back and tell us and we'll do it. But we don't want to hear His voice anymore. But God spoke to the children of Israel there, and when He told them to remember the Sabbath day, He also reminded them that He sanctified it back there at creation.

That was His purpose and reason for bringing it back up to them and saying, I want you to put this in your moral code. Just like thou shalt not steal, and just like thou shalt not commit adultery, I want you to put this in the moral fiber of your life and of your community.

Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy. Imagine that first day that the Sabbath served man. Can you do that for just a moment here? Just let your mind go a bit. For Adam and Eve, it's the first day of their life.

How many of you think they slept all day? What do you think they did? I can imagine what they did. I think they sat there in that garden and worshipped. I think they sat there in that garden in awe. I think they sat there and looked around them and praised God for everything.

I think they sat there and communed with God. I think they sat there in that garden and communed with one another. Maybe they even went for a walk together in the garden that Sabbath day, that first Sabbath day when the Sabbath served man.

Maybe they even went for a walk through the garden. Look at that. My, oh God, you're so beautiful. And Adam, come, look at this. Wow, look at that flower. Lord, you are so good to us. It must have went something like that that day.

What do you think? The Sabbath was made for man. And the Sabbath served man that day very, very well. Some would say, Christ is our Sabbath. Oh, that's a good one today. Christ is our Sabbath. But then they go on to say, He's our Sabbath rest.

We don't need to keep a day anymore. Well, talk to Adam and Eve about that, will you? There they were in the garden, in their perfection, in a perfect environment. There they were. And they kept the day.

Christ has come now and raised us to a higher level of spirituality. Higher than that? Do you see the deception of that? To take that and throw it in a junk pile, while at the same time we find ourselves many times in carnality and flesh, and our heart is cold and all those things, and we say, while we're throwing the whole thing in a junk pile, Christ has redeemed us from all of that.

Maybe you needed more than you realized you did. God reaffirmed this principle of taking one day in seven for rest, for worship, and to honor Him, when He gave the Ten Commandments there in Exodus chapter 20, referring back to the creation principle.

Some would say also, well, God didn't specifically mention the Sabbath in the New Testament. Well, I did some searching. I couldn't find any kind of a verse that looked anything like, thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain either in the New Testament.

But as far as I understand it, if I understand God's moral code, God feels the same way in the Old Testament, and He feels the same way in the New Testament. He doesn't have to say it again in the New Testament if He said it in the Old.

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. He will not hold Him guiltless who does. The Ten Commandments is a declaration of God's righteous desire for man. Amen? And if you don't think there's any power in it, you look and see what happens when somebody tries to stick that thing up somewhere.

It just makes a fuss everywhere. And I guarantee you, it goes deeper than just separation of church and state. I'll guarantee it. Turn with me to Isaiah. Isaiah 58. Now, we all know Isaiah to be the evangelical prophets.

Sometimes they call Isaiah chapter 40 through 66 the gospel of Isaiah. You know, the gospel of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and the gospel of Isaiah. And if you've ever dug into the depths of the pages of those chapters there in the book of Isaiah, you will say, yea, it is the gospel according to Isaiah.

But here in Isaiah chapter 58, we have a delightfully spiritual law dressed in beautiful gospel finery. I've said it many times, but let's just say it again this morning. Isaiah chapter 58 is an Old Testament example of a New Testament spirit-filled life.

Amen? I mean, you look down through those words. It is an Old Testament example of a New Testament spirit-filled life. Verse 13 and 14. God is pleading with Israel. And as we all know, God is not just pleading with Israel, He's pleading with any of His people down through the centuries.

In verse 13, He says, Notice those words. And call the Sabbath a delight. The holy of the Lord. Honorable. And if thou shalt honor Him, the Lord, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words.

Now there's a lot of people today who would just like to take that verse and rip it out and throw it away. Because basically they just, you know, talk about the Lord when they go to church and once they've gotten out of the church service, it's home for the Super Bowl game and shouting for their team and praising those guys that carried that ball around on the field and I mean, it's everything but what we just read.

By the way, the only way you can live out verse 13 and 14 is to be consistently filled with the Spirit of God. Amen? Can't do it. Can't do it. But not too high for us New Testament Christians. Not too high for us.

That little phrase there, turn away thy foot from the Sabbath. It means stop trampling my day under your feet. Says God, stop trampling my day under your feet. The thing I'd like to focus in on here most of all is not the negative, although God has some negatives.

But the positive. You know, sometimes I think that's how we look at this whole subject. We just look at it from a negative perspective. Ah, we can't do this. We can't do this. Now Brother Denny's saying we can't do this and we can't do this.

That's not what God is saying. God is on the can-do side of this whole subject. God is calling us and saying, make my day a delight. Make my day the best day of the week. Make my day the thrill and joy of your heart.

That's what God is saying. And yes, that has to be tested. And if we find ourselves running after other things, then we have to say, I'm not making God's day a delight. That's all. We just have to say that.

So God has to bring some of the negative in to help us to see whether we are in reality living out the positive plea that He's making to us. And that is, make my day a delight. And you know, I thought about it as I was meditating my way through this message.

And of course I knew I'm going to stand in front of all of you and share my heart. And I thought about it. You know, we do have a grasp of that verse right here. I'm not sure how far it reaches. But I know it reaches to here.

I know that. You can see it every Lord's Day morning. You can stand in the back and watch the people coming through the door. You see the joy on their face. You see the anticipation. You can hear the buzz of fellowship in the back.

Sometimes it's so bad, so good, however you want to look at it. It's so bad, so good, that you have to call the people to come up in the front. It's a delight! And that's how I feel. I mean, sometimes I get overwhelmed with the joy of it downstairs in the prayer meeting.

All God is saying is, I'm not after you to just make my service your delight. I'm telling you there's a deeper principle in that. You make this day a delight. And see what will happen in your life. There are three promises that God gives.

Let's quickly look at them. My, that clock goes by fast. God says, If then, verse 14, Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord, or may I say it this way, then you will find your joy, your pleasure, your satisfaction in God and God alone.

That's what that phrase means. I've studied it in other places. And I've preached it in revival sermons. That thy people may rejoice in thee. That thy people will find their joy, their pleasure, their satisfaction in God and God alone.

God promises, You make this day your delight. You will find yourself joying in God. He will be your satisfaction. He will be your pleasure. And I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth.

Now that's, that is the ancient imagery there. Is the picture of a conquering king riding on his chariot. That's the picture. True victorious success is what God is saying in that second promise. True victorious success.

A king, a captain riding victoriously on his chariot. That's the picture. And lastly, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father. And the picture there is feasting and celebrating in the inheritance of Jacob.

Abundant spiritual blessings in your life. God is not promising them a good loaf of bread. Amen. The heritage of Jacob is not a loaf of bread. But it's blessings abounding upon them. As God was speaking to my own heart about this subject.

And trying to adjust our family's view of this subject. I came to these verses in my Bible reading. And I just read them and they came to me in a fresh and new way as I realized. Could this be some of the reason why we are anemic?

Why we are complacent? Why we find ourselves going up and down and up and down? God gives us three beautiful promises here. And finishes with these words. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken it. In short, God promises us a life filled with joy, triumph and feasting on the good things of God.
