Year. In response, Eric Kahn, a former pastor in Ogden, Utah and the host of the Hardman podcast, tweeted a brief message.

And by the way, Eric works alongside Brian Saave, who also had a viral tweet. His tweet was about Modesty, which is the one we made a video about a while back.

And that was the tweet that Beth Moore commented negatively about, because true to form,

L. You'll love to see it. In any case, here's what got the internet so riled up. Eric tweeted, quote,

It's shameful and sad that a hyper -promiscuous, childless woman, Taylor Swift, aging and alone with a cat, has become the heroine of a feminist age.

This tweet was highly controversial and had garnered almost 20 million views the last time

I checked. It's genuinely sad that I even have to say this. But this is a common -sense, biblical statement, and I don't disagree with one word of it.

I'm not sure why any Christian would. It's the kind of thing that Christian men would have been allowed to say all throughout church history up until about five minutes ago.

But in our modern, confused feminist age, we have to debate this regardless. First off, let's establish

Taylor is certainly promiscuous. A short list of her partners through the years reads a bit like a celebrity phone book.

Joe Jonas, Lucas Till, Taylor Lautner, John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Connor Kennedy, Harry Stiles, Calvin Harris, and now

Travis Kelsey. She also frequently wears incredibly immodest clothing and sings about sexually charged topics.

Sexiest Lyrics of All Time. I'll spare you the torture of actually reading them, though. Secondly, Taylor definitely fits the description of a modern feminist icon.

Despite having so many partners and pushing 34 years old, she's never been married or had any children. But, of course, she has made tons of money.

The feminist sexual revolution has worked double -time to accomplish this very goal for all women.

For women to have as many partners as they want, make more money, and not get bogged down with responsibilities like marriage and children and unfortunate things like that.

Christian scripture, on the other hand, warns against serving money more than God, Matthew 6, 24. It warns against promiscuity, 1

Corinthians 6, 18. And it calls women, broadly speaking, to godly marriage and childbearing,

Titus 2, 3 -5. Taylor Swift represents the exact opposite of what God calls women to.

So really, it should be no surprise whatsoever when a Christian man disagrees with the world making such a role model out of her.

Still, the comment section of this tweet is filled with angry hate mail. Let's read some. Quote, This comment is particularly strange, because I seem to remember

Jesus having a lot to say about those who lead young people into sin. I recall in Matthew 18, 6, he said that people who do such things would be better off with a millstone hung around their neck, drowning in the depths of the sea.

So are you going to suggest that Jesus wasn't being Christ -like when he said that? And perhaps the bigger problem is that most people don't even know

Jesus said anything like this, because they don't know anything he said beyond, love your neighbor. Here's another example.

Someone else said, quote, Definitely unchristian comments.

You're clearly one of those Christians who aren't really Christians, but instead are hypocrites filled with hatred.

By the way, this commenter has an LGBT rainbow in her username. And yet we're supposed to believe that she's frustrated because Eric isn't consistently following Scripture?

Give me a break. This is a common trick that you must not fall for. 99 % of secularists don't actually care if you live consistently according to the

Bible. They just want to use the Bible to get you to shut up. Someone else said, quote, She's a billionaire and you're seething on the internet over a magazine.

But this just proves Eric's point all the more. Let's review. He's critiquing feminist society for putting money above good values.

And yet in response to him saying that Taylor Swift has bad values, there's a hundred angry Swifties in the comments section yelling at him, saying, but don't you know that she has way more money than you do?

Again, you're just proving his original point that they're putting money above virtue. And the next example does the exact same thing.

They said, quote, She's not going to date you, dude. And this was another sentiment that was repeated over and over again in the comments section.

But yet again, it proves him right. Part of Eric's whole point is that Taylor Swift has often made a name by hyper sexualizing herself through promiscuity, immodesty and other means.

In other words, a distinct part of her brand is designed to make men want to be with her or lust after her.

In response to Eric pointing this out, her angry fans are all saying that he just wants to be with her. And all of this just demonstrates the truth of what he said in the first place.

But they don't seem to understand that. Someone else said, quote, Why are Christians such horrible degenerates?

Bible. Okay. But there were also some seemingly Christian commenters who had an issue with the tweet, too.

One great example was this, quote, You know who loved promiscuous women? Jesus. Jesus loved promiscuous women.

Get your life together, Eric. And this is most likely the argument that will be used by the majority of professing

Christians. Something like this. Come on, Eric. I agree that God doesn't want us sleeping around and all that bad stuff, but we need to love people.

And this tweet is just not a good witness for that, etc., etc. But these people never seem to ask the fundamental question.

Would it be loving if we let millions of young women, including professing Christian women, march into the arms of the secular feminist culture around them without giving them a biblical warning of the dangers?

Again, I'm reminded of the harsh warning of Jesus to all of those who lead young people into sin in Matthew 18.

You see, the problem with this statement is that the grand majority of evangelicals have a myopic and tiny view of love.

They think that being loving means upholding the culture's subjective standard of niceness for the next five minutes or for the next conversation.

Very rarely do they think that love is seeking the ultimate long -term spiritual and physical good of the people around you.

For example, when Elijah mocked the prophets of Baal in 1 Kings 18, he did so by suggesting that maybe their pagan god was on the toilet.

Maybe he was relieving himself, and that was why he was so powerless and incompetent to do anything.

He loved them by rebuking their false god, plainly. And that was Eric's intent with this tweet, by his own admission.

Here's what he said, quote, Again, I couldn't agree more.

There is a time and a place for rational conversation and charitable discourse. In fact, on average, this should be our demeanor as Christians.

Colossians 4, 6. And there is also a time and place for looking straight into the eyes of our modern cultural idols and mocking them, laughing at them happily, exposing them for the immoral and powerless idols that they really are.

What you're doing here is you're taking something that they have assigned artificial weightiness to, and you're treating it with proper irreverence.

You're disobeying the gods that they have created. Because ultimately, you're trying to show that unlike Christ, these idols have no power to save at all.
