CHARLIE
4 views
In this episode of Trueology, we reflected on the tragic death of Charlie Kirk and his legacy of mobilizing a generation toward conservatism and public proclamation of the gospel. We addressed the Christian response to liberal ideology, emphasizing the biblical principle of righteous hatred from the imprecatory Psalms, and our calling to speak truth with strength and conviction. We also considered the dangers of rushing to replacement leadership, highlighting why neither Ben Shapiro nor Nick Fuentes embody the Christian nationalist vision we need. Finally, we looked to the long-term hope of postmillennial Christian nationalism, rooted in public engagement, political strategy, strong churches, strong families, and holy living.
This episode is a call to spiritual toughness, to love righteousness, to hate evil, and to stand firm with courage and hope as we move forward in God’s kingdom mission.

- Welcome back to Truology. Today we gather with heavy hearts over the recent tragedy of Charlie Kirk's death.
- 00:07
- A man who mobilized the youth, who stole boldly for conservative values, who was unafraid to preach
- 00:13
- Christ in the public square, has been taken from us violently. We grieve, yet we do not despair, for our
- 00:21
- God is sovereign. And even in this tragedy, His justice, His wisdom, and His power stand unshaken.
- 00:28
- This episode will honor Charlie's contributions, call out the wickedness of those who celebrate violence, and confront some false replacements and weak leadership, and cast a vision for Christians to be encouraged for the
- 00:42
- Christian hope in the national aspect that we all share, rooted in God's Word.
- 00:49
- Sorrow must turn into strength at this time. Our grief must turn into resolve. And our hope is unshaken, because Christ reigns.
- 00:59
- Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining Truology. Welcome to Truology, where we study
- 01:07
- Christian theology, philosophy, and apologetics. We do critiques on scholars, politics.
- 01:13
- We look into events in both classical and modern day issues. We do interviews, debates, and much more.
- 01:20
- Our goal is providing a Christian resource to edify the saints, and to engage the community.
- 01:26
- But most of all, we want to glorify the Lord through our hearts, minds, souls, and strength.
- 01:32
- So, stay with us as we open up the Word of God, and look into everything pertaining to life and godliness.
- 01:39
- My name is Belushi Prevalon, coming to you from the Boston area, and right now, you are listening to Truology, the study of the truth, as it is in Jesus.
- 01:51
- Charlie Kirk was not just a political commentator, he was a mobilizer. Through Turning Point USA, he rallied thousands of young people to recognize the lies of liberalism, and embrace the conservative convictions.
- 02:06
- He went into universities, which were essentially enemy territory, and he spoke the truth with courage.
- 02:13
- He helped build the energy behind President Trump's 2024 election, serving as a public voice for policies that really push back against many leftist dominants, and many areas in our political landscape.
- 02:28
- But of course, most importantly, he did not shy away from preaching the gospel in the public forum.
- 02:34
- He was bold enough to bring Christ into the conversation, when some other commentators would not.
- 02:39
- For this, we can remember Charlie for who he was, and truly honor him as a brother in Christ.
- 02:46
- He left us an example of courage. Flawed, yes, as all men are, but fearless in the public square.
- 02:54
- So, we honor his life, but we cannot ignore the ugliness that followed his death.
- 03:00
- His murder was not just a tragedy. It was met with a vile celebration of those who oppose the truth.
- 03:07
- So, let us turn now to the question, how should Christians respond when the world rejoices at wickedness?
- 03:16
- In the wake of Charlie's death, we have seen the disturbing phenomenon, the celebration of violence from liberals, progressives, and online agitators.
- 03:26
- They rejoice in the shedding of blood. They mock his legacy with vile laughter. And here, as Christians, we must make a choice.
- 03:34
- Do we shrink back in fear? Do we compromise? Or do we respond with strength?
- 03:40
- The Christian response is not to imitate their hatred, of course, but to answer it with truth and with justice.
- 03:46
- We will not bow to their ideology, LGBTQ perversion, transgender rebellion, open communism, and the cancel culture tyranny.
- 03:55
- No. These things are not simply wrong. They are destructive. They are satanic.
- 04:01
- They must be opposed without apology. The church must stand united, proclaiming the truth in the face of evil, like we've always done.
- 04:10
- This is not the time for compromise at all. This is a time for clarity. But clarity means more than gentle words.
- 04:19
- God calls us not only to love righteousness, but to hate evil. We need to have a category for righteous hatred in our thinking.
- 04:29
- And Scripture itself gives us exactly that kind of category.
- 04:36
- The Scriptures give us language for these kinds of times. In the imprecatory Psalms, David prayed for the downfall of the wicked, for the crushing of God's enemies.
- 04:48
- But why? Because God is not only a God of mercy, but also a God of justice.
- 04:54
- He does not forgive without repentance. He does not overlook sin without wisdom.
- 04:59
- We too must learn to think in categories like our Savior, our God, our
- 05:05
- Lord. We love people as image bearers, of course. We call them to repentance and salvation in Christ.
- 05:12
- But at the same time, we must cultivate a righteous hatred of evil, and for those who persistently perpetuate it in rebellion against God, if we truly love
- 05:23
- God. See, the truth is not passive. It is strong. It is masculine.
- 05:28
- And our duty as Christians is not simply to preach love, but to crush liberalism in all its forms, whether that be in the propaganda arm of globalism, the lies of transgenderism, the sexual immorality of LGBTQ ideology, or the enslaving grip of communism.
- 05:47
- But even as we stand strong, there is a temptation lurking within our own camp. This temptation to become fractured, to idolize personalities, and to fight over who will replace
- 05:58
- Charlie. And if we are not honestly careful, we will stumble into the very division that destroys the movement.
- 06:05
- In times of crisis, movements often fracture over the question, who will lead us now?
- 06:10
- And already I've seen on social media and places like X, names being thrown around such as Ben Shapiro, and some places even as far as Nick Fuentes.
- 06:20
- But we must honestly take the time to think this through and think clearly about it. Because someone like Ben Shapiro may be very sharp politically, but he does not share the
- 06:30
- Christian foundation that Charlie Kirk had. His Jewish convictions mean that he cannot really embody the hopeful
- 06:37
- Christian nationalist ethos that we need to shape America through God's law. If we put our hope in him, we would essentially be handing the rinds of Christian nationalism to one who does not stand on Christ.
- 06:49
- And that cannot stand. You see, Nick Fuentes, on the other hand, has proven himself to be a poor leader.
- 06:56
- He's obnoxious in his tone, more interested in provoking emotion than in applying Christian principles.
- 07:02
- His tribalism has already caused and fractured divisions. And there's many proof of this.
- 07:09
- And what he offers is not really righteous hatred of evil, but more of a prejudicial and carnal hatred that corrupts.
- 07:16
- He stirs up bitterness, not really holy boldness. And if we follow him, his influence would honestly distort the
- 07:24
- Christian nationalists into something unchristian at the end. Our hope cannot be in personalities, no.
- 07:33
- It must be in Christ. And I don't say it tritely. In truth, it must be. And in building a faithful movement that lasts beyond any single figure.
- 07:42
- Which brings us to the path forward. If our trust is not in men, then of course it must be in God's plan.
- 07:48
- And our task is to build something lasting, rooted in holiness and in action. So what must we do?
- 07:55
- The path forward is obviously not guesswork. It's right in front of us. We must not let Charlie's death be in vain to stir us up to only be keyboard warriors.
- 08:05
- No, we must get involved. We must get organized locally. Christians must run for school boards, city councils, and state offices.
- 08:12
- We must build long -term strategies, not just reacting to cultural shifts, but intentionally shaping them ourselves.
- 08:20
- We must strengthen the Christian communities that we currently do have, where families are discipled, children are trained, and the churches that we have are standing firm in the truth.
- 08:31
- And none of this will work if we neglect personal holiness, of course. A movement without holiness is a movement destined to collapse.
- 08:38
- If we want to see a hopeful Christian nation, then, of course, we must exemplify and live it ourselves, consistently through obedience to God's laws in every sphere, family, church, and in the state.
- 08:53
- And so we must not despair as I bring this to a close. I want to encourage you with a call to action, a call to toughness, to courage, and to hope for the days ahead.
- 09:05
- My friends, listen, this is not the end. This is really the beginning. Our response must be spiritual toughness.
- 09:11
- We must hate evil, globalism, liberalism, democratic propaganda in all its forms. We must reject softness, compromise, and passivity.
- 09:20
- We must cultivate courage, strength, and resolve. We must remember God's kingdom is advancing.
- 09:26
- Christ's reign is unstoppable. And through faithful, courageous obedience, we will see the nations discipled.
- 09:34
- Charlie's death is a tragedy, but it must not be something that weakens us.
- 09:39
- It must strengthen us, for we fight not in our own strength. We are under the banner of the risen king, who has promised that the gates of hell will never prevail against his people.
- 09:50
- So take courage, stand strong, and let us press forward together until the kingdom of this world has become the kingdom of our
- 09:57
- Lord and his Christ. So to all those listening, I appreciate you, and to the family of Charlie Kirk, God bless you.
- 10:05
- Until next time, keep studying the truth. Trueology is a podcast that seeks to equip, effect, and engage the world through Christ and his wonderful gospel of the kingdom, against which he has promised that the gates of hell shall never prevail but increase by his government, his law, and grace, till it be presented a glorious church without spot or wrinkle.
- 10:30
- If there's any fear, threat, or worry, remember that the one that has called you according to his purpose and grace has also promised that all enemies will soon be placed under his feet.
- 10:42
- Now, I want you to believe that not because I said it or because it sounds really nice and spiritual, but primarily and wholeheartedly and only and biblically, because it's the truth.
