- Dealing with deceivers: defense and offense
- You can judge a great deal about someone, not just by what he says, but by what he does not say.
- Early church practiced what the Apostles preached.
**I. **The Manner of Deceivers
- Many deceivers deny and distort Biblical doctrines, not just of Christ’s Person, but also several of Christ’s teachings in general.
- Deceivers are no respecters of doctrines.
- God justifies us by belief in His gospel alone—not by any of our works before or works after we are born again.
- “Whether it be Romanism, Shepherdism, the “New Perspective on Paul”, or “Federal Vision”, there is a constant siren song of works righteousness coming from outside the doors of the Church, attempting to convince the sheep to plead their own righteousness before God for their final justification [or final salvation].” (Timothy F. Kauffman, ‘Romans 2:13 and the Jealousy Narrative’, The Trinity Review (Unicoi, TN), April 2015 )
- See Thomas W. Juodaitis, ‘The Reformation at 500: Is It Over or Is It Needed Now More than Ever?’, The Trinity Review (Unicoi, TN), no. 347 (April 2018)
II. Receive Not, Greet Not, Welcome Not
- False teaching and teachers adversely affect many, especially those who lack discernment.
- What about the cults that come knocking at your door?

III. God commands us to separate ourselves from evil men, evil teaching, evil works
- Sanctification requires separation
- Conferences, hero worship
- True churches remain true insofar as they stand against the lie.
IV. Hopeful Farewell
