Hello everybody, welcome back to God -Centered Theology. This is Andy Cain. It's joy to be back with you once again. Today I've got another
God -Centered recommendation for you. We talked last time about the Legacy Standard Bible and the
Inside Column Reference Edition that I have, but another thing that 316 Publishing does very well,
Steadfast Bibles, and this is published by them, at a Steadfast Bible, they have these notebooks and you can get them from 316
Publishing and I'll put the link in the description. So these notebooks were put out and they're meant to be a way to capture your notes and they can get one for each book of the
Bible. I've got a set with the whole New Testament in it, but you can also get the Old Testament or the entire
Bible as well, or you can purchase them individually. And it's just a great, the thing
I love best about these is you've got the text on one side and then notes on the other.
And so you can actually come in here and highlight and circle keywords. And sometimes
I'll circle a keyword and put what the original word means over here to the side. I may put some notes, you know, if I preach out of these, these are my notes for preaching.
And so I usually put a title and some main cross references and maybe the main point that we're getting across.
And then each individual point, I try to use different colors so I can, you know, when I'm preaching and looking down,
I can know where I'm at, but I love the lined paper on one side and the text with all this room here to make notes and things like that on that side.
And so each one is like this, and this is sort of what a blank page that I haven't gotten to looks like before you start.
And for the most part, you will get good paragraph breaks on the page.
The verses that will be on a page pretty much line up with where you would want to be. Some passages that are longer, you're probably going to run into some issues as far as having these multiple pages, but sometimes
I'll have it where, you know, I'll preach one page or one section without having to turn the page when
I'm preaching. So just very good, as you can see, very good place to make notes and circle and highlight and just really call out some keywords.
So this is mine for Galatians and I've been preaching out of this now for a while. As you can see, they're not very thick, so they'll go very handy with you anywhere you go, but I haven't had any issues laying them flat or using them or anything like that.
They usually will sit right on the podium next to my Bible, so I can keep up with that. So if you're a student of the word that likes to make notes and, you know, if you're like me, most
Bibles either they don't have enough room in the margin or if you're left -handed like me and you're very heavy handed, it's very difficult to write in pages like that.
So something like this where I can bear down all I want and, you know, use different colors and write.
And also the final thing I want to let you know that is important about these types of things is I think of it in terms of legacy.
You know, I'm not going to live in this life forever. I'm promised eternal life, but this present life we're not promised tomorrow, and I want to have something that I can leave behind that my child can have to know what things were on my mind.
Other family members, other people can say, you know, what was Andy thinking when he went through Galatians chapter one?
You know, well, now you can know. Amen? Well, I encourage you to get them. I think individually there's something like six, seven dollars a piece.
You can get, I think, a set for maybe New Testament, Old Testament. I don't remember what the exact pricing was at the time, but I'll put all the links to it in descriptions and in the post for this so you can go and check them out for yourself.
I encourage you to start with just one, pick up maybe whatever book you're studying and try it out.
And if you like it, maybe pick up a whole set and just kind of go from there. Okay. Well, thank you for joining me on this
