Christ is the Covenant!

After you get married, you do not treasure the marriage certificate. It is your spouse that is precious to you. So it is with Christ. He is more precious to the believer than the covenant made in His blood. We love the covenant, yes. But we love it because of Who the covenant points us to.

- Holy Spirit. But do not become so enamored with the intellectual aspects of doctrine that you forget that while these are foundational and they spell out your relationship with God through His Son, they are not the great attraction.
