Daily Bites Of God's Word - Part 64 - Psalm 119:64

Hello, welcome back to Daily Bites of God's Word. This is Andy Cain, and it is a joy to be back with you once again.

Today we're looking at Psalm 119, verse 64. It says, The earth, O Yahweh, is full of your lovingkindness.

Teach me your statutes. This is something we see repeated in a lot of the Psalms. It'll have this exact phrase.

In fact, in Psalm 33, verse 5, it says the earth is full of your lovingkindness.

The earth's full of it. Sin is present. Yes, but the earth is full of the lovingkindness of God.

We tend sometimes to focus on so much of the negative that we don't see the positive. We can think about it with the news, what we complain about, right?

It's always negative stories, no positive stories. Well, part of that's our fault. We love the drama.

We love the negativity. Our sinful flesh makes us love to see these combative things that happen.

There's so much positive, there's so much good and lovingkindness out there. Lord, teach me your statutes.

Teach me who you are. Teach me about you. Help me to see your lovingkindness in others.

Help me to see your lovingkindness towards me. Help me to see them as I live out your statutes, as I live out your word in this world.

And help me be an example of what that looks like in this world. Amen? Well, I hope you are certainly doing this.

I hope you will take the time to see the lovingkindness of God all around you every day as it fills the earth.
