Hi everybody, I'm Jeff Durbin with Apologia Church. Thank you again for watching EndAbortionNow .com, the live stream event.
00:06
Don't forget to hashtag EndAbortionNow .com and share the live stream across your social media platforms.
00:13
And if you would, consider partnering with Apologia Church as we communicate the gospel in the area of abortion across the
00:20
United States of America. You can do so by going to EndAbortionNow .com, go to the donate tab, and if you feel led, give there.
00:27
You can partner with about a hundred churches right now that have partnered with Apologia Church across the United States.
00:33
Just this week, babies have been saved. Just this week, Christians have been getting involved in this ministry, bringing the gospel to their local abortion mill, and you can do the same.
00:41
But if you feel led, give today at EndAbortionNow .com and help us continue this effort to end abortion immediately in our nation.
00:50
EndAbortionNow .com. How many street preachers are out here?
01:06
I just want to say thank you because I got saved through the ministry of a street preacher, and it was totally by accident.
01:14
Well, no, yeah, right. R .C., I didn't mean that. That was, this is going well.
01:29
No, one day a guy back in the 70s had a, he was driving a big old blue pickup truck, and I lived in Southern California, and most people that were out doing any evangelism came out of Calvary Chapel, Costa Mesa, and I had just got out of the brig, and I had called my friends to say, hey,
01:50
I got a few days before I go catch my ship, and so we all met up over at my father's gas station on Beach Boulevard there, and this truck broke down, and he had painted all over the truck with a paintbrush.
02:04
Jesus lives, and Jesus saves, and all this, and he had a surfboard in the back, and he had blonde hair down to here, and we'd jump out in the street and pushed him in.
02:13
He gets out of his truck and says, praise God, there must be somebody here that I need to talk to, and he went ahead and shared the gospel with, there were six of us there, and we all came to Christ, and it was pretty amazing.
02:28
Yeah, I gotta admit, thank God. I'll never meet that guy, I imagine, till heaven, but all that to say your efforts are not wasted, ever.
02:39
I mean, no matter how you go about doing this, and I would just like to say, too, that don't you just feel and see something happen in here?
02:51
I am. Just these first speakers that have been speaking are it's amazing, and it's pretty hard to follow these guys, and but in God's sovereignty, this is what you get.
03:08
If you don't like it, blame him. But but like I preach every day of my life,
03:19
I'm in front of an abortion clinic Sunday mornings through Friday afternoons, every week, and and that's easy for me.
03:32
It's much harder for me to come. There's people here I love and respect, and no, it's for some reason, I don't know why, it's just so much harder to do this, but you know,
03:41
God is faithful, and I'll get through this thing, so you will as well. But I'm trying to figure out exactly how to start this thing, but the the main thing that I look at when it comes to abortion ministry is assessing what's the situation?
04:10
Why are these people here? Why are, why is this all happening? And the reason that I see as to why this is happening is because of man's heart.
04:25
It goes to that. I know Jeff had a scripture yesterday that he said kind of ties in everything that's going on in an abortion clinic.
04:35
I have one too that I always look at and see and see what, how this, why these people are acting like this, and and I've always found that Psalm 58 3 is like the perfect scripture for what's going on there.
04:52
It says, even from birth, the wicked go astray. From the womb, they are wayward, spreading lies.
05:01
Their venom is like the venom of a snake, like that of a cobra that has stopped its ears.
05:09
That will never heed the truth of the charmer, however skilled the enchanter is.
05:17
And you think about it, I mean, how many times when you're at an abortion clinic, they're coming in and they're coming in with their ears plugged.
05:24
It's like they've got, just like the scripture, wearing headphones or whatever those things are and like the the stuff that's coming out of their mouth might as well be coming out of the mouth of a cobra because it's just poison, really, what's coming in.
05:42
It reflects their heart, of course, and that's what it is. And then I always look at realizing that's the condition they're in.
05:51
And of course, not just them, that's every person ever born before they come to Christ, but but it's, everything's like on steroids down there, right?
06:02
And and and the other way I look at them is it's really freed me up in a lot of ways to look at 2nd
06:11
Timothy chapter 2 where it says to correct those that are in opposition if perhaps
06:17
God would grant them repentance and open their eyes that they might see the snare of the devil having been taken by him to do his will.
06:28
So what we've got is people with hearts like Psalm 58 3 that are coming into a place that is actually a trap that has been set up for them by the devil himself.
06:41
Now, I'm not saying they're they're victims. They're not victims.
06:48
They're definitely not victims, but spiritually, they are literally blind.
06:53
Unless God moves when you're there, they are going to go through with it. They're gonna kill their own baby, and that's that's what's gonna happen.
07:04
But God thankfully moves. In fact, I knew I was forgetting something. I wanted to pray right now for the team that I've got over in Orlando.
07:13
They're having a little bit of trouble here. So let me pray real quick. They texted me. Dear Lord Jesus, here we are in Phoenix and Warren and Karen and Beth Goebel are out there.
07:26
And Lord, that Melissa that chose life for her twins yesterday has returned. And we just ask that you would get her out of there.
07:33
There's a mother that keeps dragging her daughter in even though her daughter doesn't want to do it. And there's those kind of battles going on.
07:42
I just thank you for the fruit that has happened this week down there, and I think you I just thank you for that and just ask that that would go on everywhere in Jesus name.
07:53
Amen. In fact, this week down there has been one of the biggest weeks we've had. Sixteen ladies have chosen life this week.
08:07
Now, I went, you know, every place is different.
08:15
Every abortion clinic is different. You know, yesterday I went to the one that Zach is taking over here.
08:23
I forget what it's called. Pardon me? Yeah, Acacia Women's Clinic.
08:30
It was so funny. Me and Chad, we decided we're gonna go to a clinic. You can't put people that administer in abortion clinics in a hotel room for seven hours and expect them to sit there.
08:42
So we got bored to death. So we went over to check this place out and the
08:48
Uber driver dropped us right at the front door. So immediately they called the police.
08:54
I mean, it was like, well then, I'm not even five minutes and they show up there, the police.
08:59
They were very nice. One of them was a believer, very vocal believer. Actually glad we're there.
09:06
All of them seemed to be pretty glad that we were there. But there, what
09:13
Zach's gonna have to deal with is they have planted cactuses and bougainvilleas bushes all around the front where you can possibly go in to preach into the building.
09:26
We did it, but my legs are literally look like they got run over by a lawnmower today.
09:33
I mean, they're pretty cut up, but so every clinic is different.
09:39
Now when you get to that spot where we were preaching, they could hear every word inside. There's no doubt.
09:45
So there's gonna be fruit come out of that building. There's no doubt over time, but all that to say every clinic is different.
09:54
I've seen them like a, like, I don't know, almost a block away where it's pretty much just a sign ministry.
10:03
I've seen all these different things. But the one that I serve at is very easily are you able to speak to the people?
10:17
Because when they come in, they have to drive down a driveway to the back and park their cars.
10:24
And we're allowed to walk on the property next door. It's a shared driveway, so we can meet them at the bottom and walk up with them to the top.
10:33
You got about 20 or 30 seconds that you can set some kind of seed in their heart to, you know, for the
10:42
Lord to use. And then after, you know, they'll come in and out because they don't allow purses.
10:50
So if a girl wears, brings a purse in, you know, you got three shots at her. And so we actually do have access to be able to talk to them.
11:01
Access doesn't save any babies. I'll tell you that right now. Because we'll see, like, this week's been crazy.
11:08
But then you'll see weeks where you're saying the same thing. You're loving the same people. You're loving, you're bringing the same word.
11:15
And God passes over. I don't know why. I have no clue why.
11:21
But it's just, it's just how he works. Now what I've done here is
11:28
I've tried to, people asked me to, if I would be able to, like, say what
11:35
I say there. Now again, every place is different. The message that I use is, you know,
11:45
I just use it every day and I see God literally rip people apart with this.
11:53
And because I would, the, like, where the window is would be probably from here to that guy filming me over there.
12:08
But, so that's about the distance. And they can hear every word inside. Our goal is to get them outside, of course, and to speak to them and get them loved on.
12:18
I got a team of girls that are just absolutely incredible. It hasn't always been that way.
12:24
I started, when I started doing it, I spent probably three years there without another person coming on a regular basis.
12:35
But I've got to tell you this, I never, I wouldn't trade those years for anything.
12:40
I never learned so much about Jesus in my life as, as, as,
12:47
I mean, honestly. Instead of saying, where's the church? Say, come here, Lord.
12:53
Let me serve with you today. You know, because he's not gonna let you go. And he's got things he wants to teach you.
13:00
When you got a crowd around, a lot of times that's the worst possible thing you could ever have, even for the ministry.
13:06
Because you have to stay focused. You can't be talking about your kids. You can't be talking about old war stories.
13:12
You can't be talking about anything. It's got to be, what's going on here now? What's going on here today? We need to be praying and we need to be preaching.
13:21
And none of the, that's what our chore is. But I, I love those days.
13:26
I did. There's many days when a lot of people come and I, I just say, man, I wish, I wish these people'd go home.
13:32
No, I'm serious. I'm serious. I mean, it's, I, I better not go anywhere.
13:41
But, but, you know, God doesn't need a crowd. He doesn't need a hundred people on a sidewalk. He doesn't.
13:48
He, it actually, in my experience, has cut down on, on being able to minister to people when a whole crowd shows up.
13:58
But I know there's people out there that disagree with that, but it depends on what you're there for.
14:06
If you're there to protest, come on down with as many people as you can get. If you're there to be an evangelist and to try and minister to these people, do it in a, in a way like,
14:21
I forget the, do it decently in an order. Have, have order there. You know, people not, a girl comes out, three ladies start yelling at her.
14:31
She can't hear one of them because they're all doing it at the same, it's got to be, I always try to look at myself down there as like Bill Belichick.
14:40
You know what I mean? He's a, he's a coach. He's got a great team. But if, if the coach doesn't direct it, then there's chaos.
14:51
And so that, that's how I look at it anyway. There's other people that, that they can do what they want, but,
15:01
I forgot what it was. Oh, well, when
15:07
I start out with the people, then when they're coming up the drive, we'll always, we'll have a little,
15:14
I suggest these because they're inexpensive to, they're to the point. I should have brought one, but it is the living waters in the womb tract.
15:24
And especially because on the back, there's a little square thing that they can take a picture with their camera somehow.
15:30
And then they can watch the 180 video while they're sitting in the waiting room because they get bored in there.
15:35
And so many have come out from watching that video, just, just from that being on there.
15:42
And then inside of that, we stick a crisis pregnancy center. We've got like five of them that we work with, and they're great.
15:52
Every one of them. Wow. Is this an old, oh, look at that.
16:06
I got a new one with a little bit. But this little square thing down in the white, I mean, this is a high tech place.
16:12
They know what it is. I don't, but it works. It works. But, we just try to tell them all we love them, that we're there for you.
16:23
We're here for you. We love you. We have a place we can send you to right now. You got a 10 minutes from here.
16:30
They'll get you a free 3D ultrasound, free medical help, free financial help, and whatever they can't help you with.
16:36
My church oil, whatever it is you need, there's absolutely no need for you to kill your baby today.
16:43
And that's the truth. I mean, I'm so fortunate to have my church,
16:50
St. Andrews is so behind this. R .C. Sproul is so behind this ministry, as well as all of my pastors are.
17:02
And they put their, they put tangible things out there. We don't just stand out there and holler at people and not offer them a way out.
17:15
And there are horrible positions these people get themselves in. And, but we'll be in part of their life as far as they want us to.
17:27
We'll go in as deep as they want. If somebody is really in a need where they need financial help, there's a deacon that will meet with them, fill out a budget, fill out a budget of where they are in their life, and see what we can do to straighten it up so that you can.
17:47
So the church is very valuable. The church is so important.
17:53
And there's just, it doesn't take so much. It really doesn't. And then God's glorified in their life and they see
18:00
God being glorified. They see the goodness of God by being blessed. And it's just all good.
18:08
You know, I don't, I'm just too blessed, I guess.
18:14
I can't believe my church. They just really, they really step up.
18:20
My pastor, anything I say out there, he will honor. And it's, it's pretty, it's an enviable position to be in.
18:30
And I would pray for you guys to get your church on board too.
18:36
And I'll tell you the way to do that is take them the fruit. You know what
18:41
I mean? Nothing works. Nothing works. Nothing works like bringing a mom and a baby into the church.
18:56
And where the people in the church see God moving. It's like John was talking about having dryness or something.
19:08
That will bring, that will bring life, even to your church. There's a guy,
19:14
I don't know if I should, a guy that's a leader in our church that said that this ministry of what's been going on there has literally changed the church and for good, and that is from somebody at St.
19:40
Andrew's that has seen the church change completely.
19:48
Well, I mean, it expanded in ways that it had not been before and how much of a breath of fresh air it was to have people coming in from the street that come to Christ, or even if they don't come to Christ, that come and get ministered to by the church.
20:07
So it's, it's all important to me. It truly is. And it's a lot of different areas.
20:13
Rusty, just talking a little bit ago about how we're not all the same and we're, we all have these different things we're supposed to do.
20:20
And, and, but there's people that want you all to be the same. You got to all be like this. And that's not how
20:27
God's nature is, that, that, that we're all, you guys are all valuable.
20:33
Honestly, you all are just doing whatever it is that you're, you're going to do.
20:41
Um, I, anyway, what I usually start saying to people after that, there's, there's a break in time when we're trying to talk to them and, um, they're filling out their paperwork.
20:57
It's usually about this thick. Ours goes all day. It's not like the one you were at there yesterday.
21:04
Ours goes all day. I'm usually there from, uh, between seven 30 and eight till, uh, three or four in the afternoon.
21:12
And, uh, God moves all throughout that day, but when they come, um,
21:19
I will give an introduction of the place and it's going to be weird.
21:26
I'm not going to be able to preach like I do there, but I will try to lay it out like I do there. I don't know if anybody's ever done that before, but, um,
21:34
I'm going to give it a try, but I try to warn them first of all, where they are.
21:40
I'll say, um, I'll say, I'll say, good morning, ladies. Um, just want you to know that we're out here to help you with anything you need.
21:52
We can help you, but you cannot trust these people. The guy that owns this place, his name's James Pendergraft.
21:57
He's a convicted felon, spent time in prison. His license, medical license is suspended again for the fifth time indefinitely.
22:07
He owes the state of Florida $140 ,000 in fines, was found guilty of destroying a young lady and fined $36 million.
22:17
He can't get the money out of here he used to anymore. So he's, um, he's gone to other means and he got arrested and indicted for manufacturing and sales of dangerous drugs like cocaine, heroin, methamphetamines.
22:34
And while they were searching for money and drugs, they happened upon a bag filled with bloody abortion tools with pieces of babies in them.
22:42
And so now they're trying to build a case against him for, um, um, for doing illegal, unlicensed abortions out of the back of a beat up old van.
22:58
And that's just the owner of the place. And then I could go on by and on by doctor that's there.
23:04
They're all, if you look them up on mugshots .com, they're all there. Um, Randall Whitney, the main one there now has been drug out those doors twice and handcuffs and beat and arrested for battery, uh, on three different occasions.
23:18
Patients. It's just a really evil, wicked place. And that's where it comes into that scripture about them being blind.
23:27
Cause they walk in there and they just don't get it. They don't see it.
23:33
And the guys, all those guys, those guys won't, they won't even look them up. You know, you tell them, look, look them up,
23:41
Google them, just Google type their names into Google. See, now that the state of Florida has finally put in the paperwork to try and pull their license.
23:48
and see his trials in the middle of June. I don't care. Who cares? These guys don't care about these girls.
23:56
They really don't at all. It's so sad. So I go over the fact of them being stuck in a trap.
24:06
And then I explain that we wrestle not with flesh and blood, but with principalities and powers of darkness.
24:14
And they're all around this place. The demons live in this building. And there's absolutely no doubt that they live there.
24:22
And those doors are literally the gates of hell. Now, Rusty was talking about the gates of hell yesterday.
24:30
And the amazing thing about the gates of hell, that can spring fear in people's hearts. But you need to remember something, that the wording for the gates of hell is based on ancient cities.
24:43
And whenever an enemy would come, the people would run into the city.
24:50
And they'd lock the gate. So the gates were always a defensive position. So you don't have to fear that at all.
24:59
They're the ones that are fearing you. Amen. That's the truth. That's absolutely the truth.
25:04
You see it every day. Thank you. Then I start going into some of the hard stuff.
25:14
This little thing here will probably go kind of quickly. But it doesn't when you're there.
25:20
It takes me 45 minutes to an hour usually to get through all this. Because they're coming out. And there's people in shock.
25:26
And they're looking out the windows. Because especially when you say certain verses that start getting to them, like explain about Psalm 106, where it says, this is how
25:45
God's view of this is. He says, they offered the blood of their children to demons.
25:52
Right? So who? So I'll ask them. I'll even ask them. And I'll say, because you hear almost all the time, well,
26:01
I'm sending my baby back to God. I said, you are? How do you know you're sending? Where did you get that?
26:07
This is the sending your baby back to God stuff. I said, if I believed that for five seconds,
26:13
I would be at Daytona Beach and hire a guy here to wave people in. I said, there's nowhere in the
26:20
Bible that you're going to back that up. Nowhere. You're not. I mean, it's sad.
26:26
And that's what drives me more than anything, if you want to know to be there. And that's what
26:32
I think the weakness of the church is. Everybody says, where's the church? Where's the church? Where's the church? You know why the church isn't there?
26:40
It's because they don't see what is happening here. Are they going to stay sitting in their pews if they thought all these kids were going to hell?
26:53
Would they? Doesn't that make it a little more important? Or does everybody in the church just think all these babies are going to God somehow?
27:02
Like he's obligated to save pagans' babies, whose parents don't want them and want to kill them.
27:09
I don't get it. I really don't get it at all. The other problem is this theologically.
27:22
It says, the Bible tells us in Psalm 95 .5,
27:28
in David's big confession of his sin, you remember he said, in sin did my mother conceive me.
27:35
That didn't mean that his mom was a whore, right? It meant that he was a sinner at conception.
27:43
We are. We're at the image of God at conception. And we are given
27:51
Adam's sin at conception. You've got them both going on. So for people,
27:57
I know that's hard for Baptists. But I mean, it's hard for anybody. But I mean, people try to come up with things.
28:06
I got people saying until you're 13, then all of a sudden some age of accountability or something happens.
28:15
I don't know where all this stuff comes up from. I don't. But I don't see it in the Word at all.
28:21
I see we're born just like Psalm 58 .3
28:28
said. We're born from birth, the wicked go astray.
28:34
From the womb, they are wayward spreading lies. Their venom is like the venom of a snake, like that of a cobra that has stopped its ears, that will never heed the charmer, no matter how well the charmer plays.
28:52
That's what mankind is in. It's always been that way. That's how
28:58
Reformed theology has always looked at it. Calvin looks at this. If you look up those scriptures in there, this is what he did.
29:05
And I heard MacArthur talk about it once. And he said it to his church.
29:11
And then they went, oh. And he goes, yeah, it wasn't popular then either. But I don't get where we're not seeing the full thing of what's happening.
29:23
I think that if people thought, if churches thought, if people thought, anything other than these babies were going straight to heaven, they would be there.
29:36
Unless I'm just desperately wrong. I think this is far more heinous than we even believe.
29:46
It's so strange, because you used to have people saying they're not babies. Nobody really says that anymore.
29:53
I don't know about you guys out in the, I mean, science has made that so, there's nobody saying that anymore.
30:00
I mean, they're just saying they want to kill their kids. And they'll say it, literally to your face.
30:09
You know, that's, I want you guys to think about that. But Adam's sin is downplayed everywhere.
30:21
When, well, I'll get into that in a minute. But then you get the people telling you, oh no.
30:29
They'll say, all sin is the same. All sins are the same. And they'll say, all sins are the same?
30:36
Where do you get that? And I said, I can't get a three -year -old to believe that stealing a cookie is the same as killing a baby.
30:47
And so the people that are inside the abortion clinic working there, they feed them with all these kind of scriptures that are twisted and taken out of context, just like Satan did to Jesus in the wilderness.
31:06
But all sins are not the same. I try to explain to them in the Old Testament, you can see some sins could be covered by a grain offering.
31:14
Some could be covered by the blood of a bird, a goat, sheep, a bull. And by the way, there was none for killing your own children.
31:22
There was none. And because, of course,
31:28
God hates the hands that shed innocent blood. And when I preach down there and trying to warn them of that,
31:34
I tell them it's not just the abortionists, not just the workers, it's not just the drivers, and it's not just them, especially the drivers.
31:43
How many of you, they say, oh, I'm just driving. I'm just helping a friend. I try to remind them that when they brought
31:54
Jesus to Pilate, that Jesus looked out to the people and said, they have a greater judgment than you do.
32:04
These drivers and these people, the sin of the people that brought Jesus to Pilate is that they should have known better.
32:13
They should have moved. They should have whatever. That same principle is going on every day at every abortion clinic in this country.
32:19
And they all think their hands are clean. They all think they're just fine. They're not. They're guilty.
32:29
And the clear thing of that is it's hands, that God hates the hands. It's the people.
32:34
It's not some idea about abortion or choice or any of that kind of thing. Then I'll move into choice and just say choice, because you'll hear that every day.
32:43
Choice, choice, choice, choice, right? Anything is a choice. And I'll just say, nothing has changed.
32:50
You are committing the same sin here today that Adam did in the Garden of Eden.
32:56
The very first sin ever committed was not eating the fruit. It was choosing to eat the fruit.
33:04
When God came to Adam and Eve, he said he would bless them if they obeyed him.
33:11
But he would curse them if they disobeyed. So they disobeyed, and they were cursed.
33:20
And not only other than that, but every single person ever conceived and born has been put on a river going straight to hell.
33:32
And we forget all that. We start the gospel too much forward. We don't go back enough.
33:39
We don't go back to where it all began. But everybody, conceived, everybody born, everybody is going to hell.
33:47
We drive down the street. That guy in the car next to you is going to hell, most likely.
33:52
How many believers are there? That's why we've got to get the gospel out.
33:59
That's why we've got to get the gospel into that abortion clinic, especially because there's not time. There's a life that's going to die unless God moves real quick.
34:14
Depending on which clinic you're at, it could be very quick.
34:23
Then I'll go move into addressing who they think God is, because they all think that God is some genie in a bottle that just wants to, they just got to rub this bottle and out he pops and has to do whatever they want.
34:38
And surely he's going to overlook this because they're so special and all of that kind of thing. And you just get it all the time, every day.
34:47
You just get this view of God and of sin, of not being as horrible as it is.
34:58
And then what I do after that, after dispelling their things,
35:06
I tell them that you guys can't take these scriptures they're going to give you in there, because they actually feed scriptures to these people to make them feel comfortable.
35:14
You don't tell them. And I'll just say, listen, those scriptures don't belong to you. Those are not yours.
35:20
They're ours. There's different ones for you. And then I'll go into about how
35:25
God hates the hands that shed innocent blood. He truly does hate them. And when he hates something, it's not good.
35:32
And he tells us that he's angry with the wicked every minute of every day. He's not a fuzzy little
35:39
Jesus in your head that you think you believe in. You've all told me this morning you believe in Jesus.
35:45
Well, that does you about as much good as it does the demons that are sitting in here that believe in him far more than you do.
35:52
And you just try to just give them the truth. I mean, the hard truth. The truth is hard.
35:58
We in America make everything so kind of not so bad. But it is.
36:05
It is bad. It's very bad. And then I'll go back to about how
36:11
God hates the hands that shed innocent blood. I always say that because that scripture gets the windows open every time
36:19
I say it. As I'm going through this, I'm trying to make sure they're not sleeping. I'll just throw it in again.
36:26
You'll see the blinds start going. But they're hearing it. They're hearing it.
36:31
And then we'll go back to what the gospel truly is and explain how
36:40
Adam and Eve, when they sinned, how everybody was on a river going straight to hell. But God called the people to himself.
36:46
And in fact, Jesus said that he came to save his people from their sin.
36:53
But something had to be done about their sin. The blood of bulls and goats and sheep and all that kind of thing could only cover it, could not cleanse it.
37:03
So then I'll bring up that God loved his son more than we will ever know.
37:19
I mean, I don't believe in all eternity that we will never know the depth of the love that the father had for his son.
37:30
But he sent his son down here. And his son came and lived a perfect life.
37:36
And he died a perfect death. And he rose in victory over his people's sin.
37:42
But on the way there, on the way to that cross, Psalm 11, verse 6 tells us that the cup of the wicked is filled with fire and brimstone and a burning wind.
37:57
Everybody's got a cup. Everybody. Everybody at conception gets a cup.
38:03
They're all. The issue is, who's going to drink the cup? Every cup's going to be drank.
38:10
The issue is, is it going to be you or is it going to be Jesus? And as we look at Easter, we just passed, as we look at Easter and we think it's not about pretty dresses and it's not about bunnies and chocolate and all this stuff, it's about torture.
38:33
It's about misery. And it's about redemption. That's what
38:38
Easter's about. That's why you need to come to Christ. That's why you need to repent of this. And that's why you need to keep your baby.
38:46
And because there are consequences. The most amazing thing to me is that when
38:53
Jesus went, when he went to the cross, he stopped in the Garden of Gethsemane. And he said, and his agony began.
39:03
The Bible says his disciples deserted him. The Bible says that he began to sweat blood.
39:11
He prayed three times, Father, if it's possible, let this cup pass from me.
39:19
Three times he prayed for that cup, that cup of God's wrath, that cup that we all deserve.
39:29
He drank it. And then his father, who loved him with a love we'll never understand, hung him on a cross and poured out his hatred, wrath, and anger upon his own son for our sin.
39:43
He drank our cup. That is so valuable. You guys cannot reject this.
39:50
You have to come out of here. He has given you such a great gift to send people down here to help you, to trust, that just want to help you, the only people in your life that don't want to take anything from you.
40:07
And I have to tell you, it's weird doing it this way. When it's preaching it, it's different, way different.
40:15
I don't think I'll ever do this again. I'll have to come with somebody. Jeff, you'll have to come.
40:20
I'll come back and teach coloring aids or something. But that, it gets people.
40:30
I want to tell you just about the last couple weeks. Where's Luke?
40:37
Luke, how long have I gone? Yeah, but...
40:45
That's right. You opened your mouth earlier. I'm going to go Durban time.
40:59
No, but... What was I saying? I'm such an idiot.
41:04
Oh, the last couple of weeks. I've got to tell you, it's amazing. Amazing what this sermon does.
41:11
And it's not this sermon, but it's God putting it there. He applies it like on steroids.
41:20
There's a guy from this church. Well, he's not from this church, but he comes out to everything with you guys.
41:26
A guy named Elvis Kesto. Do you know him? He sent me the most amazing thing last week.
41:36
He said, John, you're not going to believe this. An elder in a church in Lakeland, Florida sent me a text.
41:43
He's scared to death for some guy that came to your abortion clinic. And I said, what? What are you talking about?
41:50
He says, well, he brought a girl there to have an abortion. By the way, he's a member of this guy's church and worked for him and everything.
41:59
And he says, he went into that abortion clinic, wouldn't listen to you when you tried to talk to him.
42:10
And he said, then you started preaching. And he said, halfway through that sermon, he was paralyzed in his chair.
42:18
He couldn't get up. He couldn't move. He couldn't do anything. And he heard this thing.
42:24
And he said, she went ahead and had the abortion, but this guy, this guy is like needing to be, they were going to Baker Act him.
42:37
He keeps hearing the sermon over and over and over in his head, has tried to do it through heroin or some drug like that to escape it, but he can't.
42:48
And it just keeps going. And he won't, now he won't meet with the guy to try and talk about it to get him help.
42:56
The gospel again or whatever. But this guy is a total basket case.
43:02
It was incredible what happened. But there's been two others that happened as well in the same week like that.
43:09
Again, this is all to prove this is not me, man. This is not me. It's God and his word.
43:15
I have never turned one, had one girl, I've never saved one baby, ever.
43:21
He does. And he does it through his word. But I, that has to be clear, if anything is clear.
43:34
But the other thing that happened was a lady, a girl, some of you probably read this story, so I won't go into the whole thing, but she came for an abortion.
43:44
Somehow her and her boyfriend got mixed up. He was down in Miami, she was in Orlando.
43:51
She comes to the clinic. She goes through all the counseling and all the thing.
43:58
And then the sermon's going on. Abortionist is not there yet. And I'm preaching.
44:06
And then she comes out and her boyfriend shows up. And I said it was like a Hallmark movie, that he was trying to stop her, but he got held up and made it there and blah, blah, all this huggy stuff.
44:21
But anyway, he, we took them to lunch. And we're sitting at lunch and this girl says, this girl says,
44:34
I couldn't understand it. She says, all of a sudden, in a split second,
44:41
I'm sitting there and I look across from me, I look over to the side, and I hear these people talking.
44:49
And I'm sitting there and I'm wondering, why don't they hear what I hear? Why don't they see what
44:55
I see? And it was like God just snapped, turned her heart right there.
45:01
But he does it through his word. The main thing is to, but also the way we give it.
45:07
I mean, we have to tell these hard things, but they have to know that we really love them and really care. And then there was another one.
45:15
And I'll stop on these ones with this. As soon as I find out
45:20
I'm going longer than Jeff. But anyway, here's another one.
45:29
I mean, unbelievable. I've got witnesses or I would never even bring these things up. But I'm sitting there, just get done preaching, the police show up.
45:41
They walk in the door. Guy comes out and says, hey, John, how are you doing?
45:47
He goes, can you pray for my bicep? I had it sewn on and I'm having trouble with my wife.
45:53
And I said, yeah, but what's going on? Did they call the police on me? Yeah. I said, well, what did they see
46:01
I did wrong? He said, they don't know. I said, what? I mean, this was really surprising.
46:08
And so I'm sitting there with the ladies. We're waiting for somebody to come out. And about an hour later another police officer shows up, goes in, comes out, says the same thing.
46:20
And I said, what's going on? He goes, I don't know, man. That is the weirdest thing I've ever seen in there.
46:26
I said, what? He goes, they're traumatized. I said, what do you mean? He goes, there's no other word for it.
46:32
They're all just sitting there, just tears pouring down their face, and nobody's talking.
46:39
And so then they called another policeman, undercover detective. This is true.
46:45
Don't forget, I'm a Calvinist. I don't believe in this stuff usually. But this is the truth.
46:56
Then the police officer, I didn't know he was one, because he went in the door. I tried to get some stuff to get to him.
47:04
And he comes out the door, and I said, sir, can I give you one of these? If you know somebody in there, get her out of there.
47:10
You don't know the record. You don't know what these people are like. And he says, can it,
47:15
John. He goes, I'm undercover. And I go, what's going on? He goes, John, I don't know.
47:22
He goes, we have come out here three times, because he was like the head officer or whatever.
47:28
And he said, we can't believe what's going on in there, that they were still just sitting there like that. Then when he left, he said, whatever you're doing,
47:35
John, do it again. Get these people out of here. But I don't know what to say.
47:48
All I can really say is, you know, I've been out there now. I'm about to finish my seventh year, starting eight.
48:01
I've seen God do the most amazing things a person could possibly ever see. It's not because I'm special.
48:09
It's because I go. You know what I mean? You're not going to see anything than sitting around watching
48:15
Alabama games. Yeah, that's right.
48:25
Go Gators. But anyway, no, you really got to get out there.
48:32
And that's what I love so much about this church. You guys are just leading people out in the street, doing this, doing that, doing the other thing.
48:41
I just sit on a wall, you know? And I just ask people if I can help them and share the gospel with them.
48:50
I don't hold it back. And God moves through his word.
48:58
It's the power. He's given us tools. It's the power unto salvation. And anyway,
49:05
I just really want to encourage you guys to get out there and see things. You know, see babies.
49:12
See a little, see a drug addict have her baby and homeless know where to live and see her trust
49:26
God and then see her six -year -old girl running around the church.
49:33
See how God has worked in little Victoria's life. And you know, all these things, whole families, you know.
49:43
God heals families. Even the hardest ones, even the ones where it's addicts that have burned everybody in their life and then that's why they're homeless.
49:55
That's why they're pregnant and out there. But God works on all of that. He does it all. He's the only one that can.
50:02
And I just encourage you guys to just go out.
50:08
Go to your churches like John was saying and just go to them and just get out there.
50:14
You won't believe it. You won't believe it. You won't believe it. There's no drug that high.
50:22
I've tried them all. There's nothing that good. Get out there. I'm done.
