Andy Stanley's Ministry Leader Gets Lap Dance from Drag Queen at Gay Bar Called "The Heretic"

LGBTQ all all of that and all the issues surrounding it is the most divisive issue in the modern evangelical church. And if you disagree that it's not the most certainly top three. So this leads to the next story.

North Point ministry leader gets lapdance from drag performer at Atlanta bar called the heretic. Okay so this is the name of the bar. It's called the heretic and one of Andy Stanley's leaders at North Point Community Church was recently caught on video receiving a lapdance from a drag queen.

The video footage first reported by Protestia allegedly shows Leanne Ligon who is a director of operations at Buckhead Church in Atlanta a satellite campus of North Point participating in a charity drag show performance during the show which was held at the Atlanta area.

Gay bar called the heretic. Isn't that interesting. You have a gay bar called the heretic and you have a ministry leader from Andy Stanley's church going there getting a lapdance from a drag queen. I mean can you imagine if this happened like 40 years ago.

I mean but this this type of thing is becoming normal. That's why I say this is the biggest issue the most divisive issue the churches are facing because even churches oh Andy Stanley he's oh he's solid.

His dad is Charles Stanley. Oh Andy Stanley's great. Well okay the performer is then seen and I'm not even gonna read this because it gets a little graphic describing what the drag queen is doing. This is a family-friendly show.

But a post on the performers Instagram page. The drag queen gave a shout-out to Andy Stanley's ministry leader miss Ligon saying she helped me learn how to command attention and encourage me to be myself on stage.

So ministry leaders at the church are encouraging drag queens. Marvelous. According to her LinkedIn page Ligon who was she her pronoun uses she her pronouns in her profile. She has served in the singles ministry at Buckhead Church for about 17 years so they know her very well and has been employed there since 2015 most recently as a director of operations since March 2020.

So this is this is a high-ranking official in the church. She has also volunteered as a singles gathering leader since 2006. In a post from June 2021 Ligon celebrated gay pride month and urged her followers to quote open up your hearts and minds and quote be an with hashtags including gay pride and Jesus calls us to love.

And this is all done in the open on social media so everybody knows what this woman is pushing. Buckhead Church is one of eight North Point churches in the metro Atlanta area and Andy Stanley preaches a message at the church.

Or he preached a message at the church as recently as January. While it's not clear whether Ligon has any working relationship with Stanley she does because it points out how there was a picture of the two of them in what appeared to be an emotional moment for Stanley.

So the two they definitely know each other. There's video or pictures of this proving it. Neither Ligon nor Buckhead Church responded to a request for comment from the Christian Post on Monday. Yeah I bet they didn't.

Stanley whose father and famed televangelist preacher Charles Stanley died last month has stirred controversy in the past for his approach to LGBT identified congregants. In January he implied that people who identify as LGBT have quote more faith than a lot of his church members.

And the Stanley made the comment during North Point's drive conference last month or last May where he told churches that any LGBT individual who continues to go to church quote has more faith than a lot of you.

Contrary to his father's biblically Orthodox stance Andy Stanley has called for the church to be more accommodating and even create safe spaces for LGBT identified congregants. So obviously this is one of the big issues because you have any Stanley's one of the most famous evangelical leaders in the United States.

So the fact that his church is doing this ministry leaders in this church are going to the heretic gay bar to get lap dances from drag queens. I mean this is we have reached kind of critical mass like things.

Well I'm really I almost said things can't get much worse but of course they probably could which is scary. But all that to say this this this is a huge issue. And you know that the typical response I get when I when I tried it when I mentioned this when I talked to people about what's happening they either deny that it's happening like in local churches like local churches in this area Western Mass when they start doing stuff like this I'll mention hey this ministry is supporting this this ministry is platforming this person this church is now from and they'll deny it no that's not true.

So that's one response or another response a Andy Stanley this is what's happening at his church. This is what he's saying. Oh and he's not Andy Stanley is good he's solid and then you become the bad guy.

So this is how it shakes out by standing up for biblical truth and trying to remain faithful on just clear issues of the Bible. You become the bad guy now. That's frustrating and you know some people are not going to like you because but it doesn't doesn't this go back to what happened in in the early church.

Gee here's the thing Jesus was the most perfect picture of a man standing up for what was right and what did the world do. They hated him he was the bad guy and they crucified him. So that's gonna happen to us as Christians all we have to do is just believe the truth and from time to time say what's true.

And you will at times face some resistance if not some persecution. But this is why it's a big issue because churches really weren't addressing this when it was small. If this stuff was nipped in the bud 30 years ago 20 years ago 30 years ago 40 it wouldn't be a problem today.
