Well, welcome back to Daily Bites God's Word. This is Andy Kane. It's a joy to be back with you once again. Today, we're looking at Psalm 119, verse 27.
It says, Make me understand the way of your precepts, so I will muse on your wondrous deeds.
This word muse means to meditate, to think deeply, and we want to do this with the
Word of God. It's particularly in the Psalms. It's very good to think about what the Psalmist has said and how he reacted and lived and how we take that into consideration, but also the life of Jesus as we are to be sanctified and brought into greater
Christ likeness, and we muse, we meditate, we think on these deeds of those of the faith and those in the biblical record, but mostly on Jesus Christ, the one who is the ultimate example, the one who is the model for everything, and we want to understand the way of God's precepts, not just in terms of this is what we're supposed to do, and now we follow it and obey it, but the why, the real foundational understanding of the truth of Scripture and why it is that God has us do what
He commands us and why it's important to love Him supremely, why it's important to love each other and love fellow
Christians, love your neighbor as yourself, not to steal, why it's important not to bear false witness, understanding the way and what it takes to live a life that is in submission to the
Word of God, and we can do this by meditating and thinking of the wondrous deeds of God and the wondrous, beautiful truth that comes from Scripture, so I encourage you to do this in your daily walk, and I want to thank you for joining me on this daily bite of God's Word.
