Two Roads Two Destinies: Sin, Depravity, and Salvation

Now, to read this one from the 4th chapter of the Letter to the Romans, Romans chapter 2. Romans are not the good part, in my opinion. Romans chapter 3 was more. Now, Shannon, I've talked with her a bunch of times.

And, Shannon, thank you for the words you've given me. I'm sad, but I'll spit it. Because through the very long term history and knowledge of salvation, the law is enshrined in books. From the start of the early 20th century to the present century, from salvation, there are these effects.

Romans 3 and the Universal Guilt of Humanity

The Apostle is speaking of Christ when the truth is taken as the truth. And, in Romans 3, 9, it says, What sin or grief better than this that befalls the Gentiles? None know why that they are all in the pit, none that think about the God.

They're all born out of the labor of the blood of the unprofitable. The fruit of no consultation. When they're told they have no deceit, that all they've asked is only their lips. Their mouth is full of pussy and bitter milk.

Their teeth are twisted shut black. The functional measure in their life, in the way of peace, they do not know. What is meant to you? Know the law that has been given to you by God. God will, in this life, provide a life of the more of its kind.

But, now, the legacies of God live out on a part from the rest of the law. By the law and the prophets. Proving the legacies of God which is by faith, truth, and the truth of Jesus Christ unto all. And if at all they disbelieve for it is not written to an essential of a man that his right, through redemption that is in Christ Jesus, and association from emptiness black, to declare his righteousness and the remission of sins that are passed through the forbearance of Christ.

To declare, I say, of his form, his righteousness, that there might be trust, and that justify of the one who has faith. And, therefore, if you understand or if you explain the mysteriousness of the New Testament, Jesus put it this way.

You will hear the word known as transgression from the great holy truth, telling everyone that it is born of the Spirit of God. Now, this word has life in it, and it is through the Bible that we are saved.

The Word of God and Christian Regeneration

You shall ask me, but the authority of Scripture does tell me of importance and a couple reasons. Number one, that it's through the word of God that we are convinced of our need of Christ. It's through the word of God that we are re-generated, and it's through the word of God that we grow in our Christian experience.

And, for every stage of Christian life, from salvation and sanctification, every area of a Christian life revives its own theology of the word of Christ. First, the foundation should be removed, but from the righteous good.

Just as it is in the world today in Protestant circles, between the liberals and the fundamentalists, the liberals are speaking on the manual theology of the Christ. So, we say again this morning about apologetics.

We believe in the fervor and inspiration of the Scriptures, but the very words of God's words are absolutely infallible, and they are in error. And, this is so frankly essential to the Christian faith, because we have nothing else by which we can do except for the good of God, which is our only means of life.

Apostle Peter reminds us in his first sermon that we should take heed unto the truth of the light of sanctity and of self-sacrifice, and to the favor and mercy that arise in your hearts. And, what about the scripture that says itself to be the only way of life in this life and world?

When enlightened, we, the intellectual men and women, will obscure the light of the word of God. Let us never forget the only way of life in the world today is the rule of our living God. It tells us about the spirit of God, the living life of God for us upon this earth.

Two Roads and the Need to Know One's Spiritual Condition

Now, today, we are going to move along with them this morning for something in the way of a comparison and a contrast between the narrative and this God-given year. In the year of the rule of God, I expect that you will be a few church members lying there in hell, and never find out the rest until they get there, unless God immerses you in that.

So, when people are raised in Christian homes and learn the language of the rule of God like a child, it can give you all the evidence that you have never been regenerated by the power of the spirit of God.

But, this morning, we're going to pick up the subject of our guest in the make of a comparison and contrast between this one and this life. The Lord Jesus Christ, when He entered the straightway, arrived at the gates of hell with the blood that leads to destruction, and knew that he was going to rest.

Now, the straightway that leads to hell is the way that leads to life, and Jesus did that kind of. In our discussion of this subject here, contrasting the now and the God-given, the questions might arise in our minds if we shall distinct ourselves very clearly, I think, from the world of hell.

For example, if people arrive without our own listening ways, if they're in a little town where I can preach my religious church and be on commission, if we want to live a fuller, fuller day. Then, another question that might arise in our minds is this.

Do all of us, by natural choice, make our own definitive life, and then, now and then, if we go to heaven, are we saved and then become God, or are we born again in such practice and in sin? Now, this is tremendously important, and I will tell you how.

The answer to these questions are of such extreme importance for the simple reason that no one can make any progress in a spiritual life until they have a starting point. We don't have anyone beginning a race without having a starting point.

There's got to be a starting point for an earth race, and that's for the spirit race, and in order to move from where you are to where you'd like to be, first of all, you've got to discover where you are.

One reason why so many people today are not saved is that they have never been able to get lost for a good, and the reason many people are not saved for a good is because they've never been condemned.

They don't know they're lost. Now, this is our desire today to help us to see that, by nature, all of us are born in struggle, and that there is no middle path. We're going to see again that it is possible for you to make any progress in your spiritual experience until you discover where you are.

You take a person who doesn't know whether they're a slave or whether they're lost, and that person is living in the most confusing and frustrating state you've ever been in. That's the state of indecision.

You're going to flip scriptures on in the world of God and see what the scriptures say about this tendency that a lot of people indulge in in believing that they are neutral, that they are neither for the world nor are they against it.

John 3 and the Two Classes of People

Now, I want you to pay attention to the gospel of John, and keep it plain in Romans chapter three, because the meat of our talk will come from the third chapter of Romans. One of the things that people have done to ensure that it's real to God, and that it's real to God, is this, that the Bible preaches that there is no neutral God.

It may sound just a little bit humorous, but a friend of mine who used to be a preacher of the gospel of Pentecost, comes and has been a true Hittite two times a year round trip from California to Alaska, who was called a Hittite preacher.

And, he had a great way of saying, when he preached for a congregation like you, he would look at you and say, but one of the first things you must learn here today is this, that right where you are preaching, every one of you, this very moment, you're either saints or you're apes.

You're in a truce. There is no neutral God. So, we're going to make sure this very moment in this journey is either saved by the grace of God, having received Christ at the end of the door on our way to heaven, or we are still in the drug world that leads to death and destruction.

Now, where shall we go to resolve this controversy? Shall we look to our fears? Well, that's a lot of Christ, because you may not feel lost. Matter of fact, if you've been tragically lost, though, you may feel safe in your own way to hell, because feelings can not be trusted.

The same applies to religion, because religion, in places, believes that everybody is ultimately going to be saved by the doctrine of universalism. Now, when we turn to the book of God, it seems that clearly about this God-free book.

And, I tell you, I revel in the truth that the Bible is a God-free book that is inspired by the Holy Spirit. So, men can fill their castles with sins of all sorts of theological ramifications in regard to the goodness of man and the fact that everybody's going to be saved and none of it is going to be lost.

And, if we get to listen to sin, we're going to be confused. But, when you turn away from all of that and listen to this God-free book, notice this one stroke of a pen of inspiration, all the flaws disappear, and God speaks with us all of it.

Now, look in the 18th verse of John, chapter 3. Now, I wrote his statement there, and I wanted him to tell me how many classes of people we can find in this verse that says, "...he that believeth on him is not condemned.".

That's the negative aspect. Then, notice a sentence that says, "...but he that believeth not, good shall be in no way.". Well, I'll estimate there how many childhood people are in this verse. I'm going to give you time, or you may be pretty good, but I have listened to this two classes.

Notice this statement, "...he that believeth on him is not condemned, but he that believeth not is condemned.". Now, notice where it can't resist. It doesn't say, "...he that doth believe on Jesus Christ will be condemned, and is cancered before the fountain of the great white throne.".

How often you ask the person, Are you saved? And let's keep with others, how often I never will I get there. May I assure you, if you don't know when you get there, you won't know then until it's entirely too late.

If you're not saved, Now, let me conclude, he that believeth whom is not condemned, but he that believeth not is condemned already, right here and now. And, notice, please, my friend, that God will say, because he or she is affronted, or rather, He doesn't say, because a man did this right, or anything else.

It just says, because, look, notice how this truth says, because he hath not believed in the name of the only forgotten son of God. Now, notice what God will bow down in one precious statement of inspired scripture.

Now, there's two things in practice, of course. First of all, there's two classes. There are those who are not condemned because they have received evil sight. There are those who are condemned because they have not received evil, but because they have believed the truth.

One has believed, and the other has not believed. Now, you can argue all you want with me, but here's a statement of inspired fact. Remember, it's the thirty-sixth verse of the same chapter. He that believeth in the Son will have everlasting life, but he that believeth not is condemned to an everlasting life.

There are two descriptions of evil. That he that believeth in the Son has not the presence of death. He has everlasting life, but he that believeth not will have everlasting life. The wrath of God abideth on him.

In other words, everyone who has ever been in the grave will never be pleased by addressing him to the God who is living and abiding under the suspended wrath of God. Only on closing the gate of death into the door of salvation, or Jesus comes and takes his people home, then your condemnation will be forever and ever, but it's fixed.

But, it's the hope of being saved after this life. So, here's a Bible that secretly tells us that there are only two paths. That's why this artist put these words in red here, Love Little Path. So, Little Path, what's the matter with you today, if you're in love?

I don't want to ask you if you're saved. Most people are all saved. No, they are, but a lot of people who are not don't know it yet. I'd like to sort of peel in on you today and try to say, on this point, do you know you're lost?

Have you ever been lost? Years ago, in town, back when we had a lot more fuel than we have now, and we hoped to get some of us back before the meltdown, we had a very, very strange group going around hooking on those, and everybody's pivoting, and asking if they were saved.

Well, the Lord got through with time and told us that every people do that anymore, not many people getting saved here. Back in those days when we did do that, it was. But, some people don't like you to talk like that.

Now, ain't that a pity? Like a poor old sinner who's going to hell and don't like you to ask if he's saved. Now, God forbid that we should ever be afraid of a poor sinner who's about to drop from the hill.

God doesn't want us to be that way. God has not given us a surge of fear, a fear of everything that's near. I was so bad about this that I remember one day, a lady saw me coming, and she knew I was going to ask her, well, where come that message?

And, I know what she's going to ask me. She's going to ask me if I'm saved. And, all of a sudden, I knew her really well. I said, well, if I may, I'm going to ask you a question. And, with that smile upon her face, like a proverbial cat will just run up the back of the mirror, she smiled at me.

She said, yes, well, do you really want to ask me? And, I kept talking about it, and I said, are you really? She said, of course I'd love to. I'm not a murderer. I'm not a robber. Well, I didn't need to ask the woman if she was saved, because, for the life of me, with my limited academic achievements and education, I tell her, when she's identified as being saved, it's out of love.

When she's the very fact that a person is saved, free from pain and suffering, then that's in love, because only people of faith have ever been loved. And, then, the last thing is to be saved. That's what the Bible said, that the father of man is come to see, and to say, that was with love.

And, then, they tell you this, that if you don't get lost, you'll never be saved. Now, if you don't know anything, you're not going to try and get saved. If you get lost, you're just going to try to get lost.

It doesn't matter if you're lost. I'll never try to convince you that you're lost, but I just want to turn now to the entire record in Romans chapter three. I remember hearing a story once of a man who had some figure in a city and kicked his tit, and was kicked in his office.

And, a couple of blocks away, there was a lady who was still in the hospital, and arrived, but had been around for a little bit of time, and riled against the world to go. One night, she arrived with her tit to eat, and came back about a mile and a half later, and her husband took her up to her and said, what's going on down there with that tit?

He said, well, if you think about the man's face, it would have been like, he said, you're kidding? But, well, tell me about it. Well, she said, the man's face turned out. He said, that's a heaven's face.

Now, when he didn't like that, she said, hey, that wasn't it. He said, he's no Christian either, and that was all good. And, she said, you know, he preached quite a lot of the Bible, but the lady sitting beside me on the back row of the tent, and she took a Bible and showed me.

Every time he'd give a verse, she was right to it. You know who she was, don't you? Well, anyway, she was a real believer, obviously. But, she said, you know, he was good, he was interesting, everything he said came out of the Bible.

And, her husband said, well, sure, my God, that is what I can preach. Then she said, I'll tell you what I didn't like about it. First, he preached 30 minutes to people in the tent who were lost and on the way to hell and ruin, and then he turned around and preached 30 minutes to people in the tent who were on the way to heaven and ruined.

That took up a solid hour. They didn't have a word to say to me. It was so boring, so boring. And, that's what I'll tell you this morning. You have somewhat to say unto me, and I'll make it clear to God first in your ears, and let's look in Romans chapter three.

Romans 3 and the Depravity of the Natural Man

Now, here in this passage, passage on the subject of the depravity of the natural man, whenever God speaks here, remember in Old Testament 2 .14, there's a Bible that says that the natural man is a woman, and the natural man is a woman is a person who has been born by natural birth.

He has never had a rebirth with God. He has been sleeping away. And, therefore, the spirit of God, the natural man, cannot understand the spiritual spirit of God, neither can he know them. He will not receive them because they are spiritually understood.

Now, there, and in this passage here, God is not trying to insult the human family. God is not trying to depreciate man's intellect in the same instance in chapter three. But, he is simply making a statement of fact regarding man's natural limitation for a spiritual thing like himself.

Spiritual truth is never apprehended by the intellect that passes through death, but it rests in the inner man in the opposite face of Jesus Christ, and not your brain, your understanding, or anything else.

That's why the Bible says this is the record that God has written about the eternal life of this life. It's in his son. He who has his son has life. That's why we're told in the world of God, if he has received him, then God gave him life.

He became his children even though they had to leave on his name. Now, here in Romans chapter three, we have a broad, dark background of the condition of sinners. Now, as we read this passage, and we have pretty much already seen it, we take out a few of the highlights, and if we assume what God's here is even about the worst of men like Ursula von der Leyen, who wrote a passage, we must be far-fetched.

This here, in Romans three, is not the worst of men, but it's written terribly in Romans three. It is a prayer that makes a man can progress across in the regenerating power of the spirit of God. Now, this doesn't mean that all people are patient and honest.

The doctrine of the savages doesn't mean that all unsafe people are wicked congregants. The doctrine of natural repentance can be a man in the Bible, meaning that man's senses, all of them, have been brought under the curse of a person based on the sin of Adam to the point that humanness, speaking, cannot receive or understand the things of the spirit of God.

What we look at now in this passage is not necessarily a description of everyone here, but it is a description of that which is potentially true of everyone here. Now, everyone is not immortal. Everyone potentially is capable of it, but everyone that's not wicked and unholy in their sin turns out to be fabulous and false.

Everyone is capable of it, but I know that in this minute, or just right here where we are, there are no lies, for we are secure proof of heathen gentiles that they are all under sin. We need to do this.

In chapter one, he takes up the gentile and transgressive behavior of God. In chapter two, he takes up the good who, in all of his religious goodness as the church and people of God, shall strictly condemn the heathen gentiles and, under the cover of darkness, guilty of doing the same thing for which they condemned the gentiles.

So, you have a brother Phillips, though, who's in his action of good for an extraordinary Romans. In the first chapter of Romans, God takes up the heathen and, in the second chapter, he takes up the hypocrite.

And, the hallmark of the hypocrite, in one way to distinguish the hypocrite, is that the hypocrite is ready to condemn sin in the light of that which he thinks is concerning his own life. So, in chapter one, the spirit of God brings up heathen or the gentile nations before the justice power of God in the courtroom, and we find that in his argument in the first chapter and verse thirty-five, saying that they are satisfied with the hatred of God.

In the second chapter, it's clearly seen that God is loved before a person can be declared satisfied or innocent in a sinful, hateful, guilty. Indeed, the doctrine of justification that we're looking at this minute is not that God has killed the people and says he's never been guilty.

He doesn't do that. But, God says if a hypocrite, a lazy crab, is a bad person, he's innocent in his pride. But, with him I've been, no heart will ever be touched. No one here, anywhere else, will ever feel the need of God's sweet gifts of salvation unless a person is convinced by the word of God that you are loved.

When a condemned people are interrupted in your forgiveness, a child may like me, a thirsty person, or a very hungry person, is looking for food on the last day while you are being looking for God's salvation.

So, he's innocent of both. So, he says, first you will stand by the will of the Spirit. You will go down and look in the Spirit, as it is written that it's none righteous, nor not right. There is none that understands it.

There is none that's even after God. Now, here is a statement that you can give your little help with, which is when I read the glory of the Spirit, some of the famous evangelists, and I'm not taking credit for the love of my heart, are the men from Joe, and Charles, the audience, worldwide, that in their streams we found people hungry and searching for God.

And, listen, I've told you how God is good when it's men that seek of after God. You see, my friend, something you can learn is this, that that which I think of with regard to the seeking after God is simply seeking after something to be satisfied.

I am fervently persuaded that nobody ever turns to God until they turn everywhere else first. Therefore, there would be no need to seek after God, because there was a natural inclination in the human heart to turn towards God rather than women that have to be pushed through from a gospel of evil trying to get their own attention.

There is none that seeks after God. If you're a woman of the Spirit, listen very carefully. If you find yourself in this room this morning, and you don't understand really why you're here, and God even creates a certain instance in which it's time in your heart to be right with Him, you'll settle it on your face and face God's Lord.

It's a mercy of God to have the first talk about the relationship to God, because if God had left you alone, you would never have any desire to be with Him. The initiative is with God. He takes the initiative.

The conviction is with God. The illumination is with God. The salvation is with God. From beginning to end, it's your responsibility to live for the praise of Jesus Christ. You have nothing else to do with it, but nobody other than God and His law.

The Son of Man is trying to speak of the praise that was His law. Jesus loves His people. No one ever suggested that. What is more of an indictment? So, you see, my friends, I heard this when you all shut up with the grace of God.

And guess what? They're all going out of the way. They're all going to become incapable of service, and then that's good, good, no, not right. Turning verses 13 through 18, God gives us a very decent picture of the purpose of the event, and particularly verses 13 through 15, noting our sorry for the fact that sin has cast its curse upon this very human body, which has asserted an open self-impact, and now that's terrible.

And we start to think of what the Spirit of God means. I would not use such a painful language myself, but if the Holy Spirit of God were to use language like this, I'd certainly say this is not mine.

Some of the minds will repeat what He says, but that's not a place to die. You know, to take what God has said, He speaks in words of it, with the help of the Spirit of God. So, do you realize that there's no patience in there?

Look, it says, "...the fruit of an insane person turneth his unreturned heart as like a grain of a rotting corpse, as if it were stubbly, stubby like.". Now, it's regrettable, and hurts a little bit more.

Well, you know, my family's been patient. Let's finally get through to you. And, I think it's worth it to say that the windows of illustration, like the windows of the light is. You must then work so hard.

If I could get you a painting of yourself this morning, it would be the most wonderful thing that ever happened to you. If God could only get you a painting of yourself, and get you to see like you've never seen before, that you have been baptized, and you've told your kid, and you've told him, and you've opened your eyes, and you've shook the Britain's hand.

And, you may have coughed your nose to death in your face, and coughed your throat out, and haven't been able to do any of all these vows. But, the word of God says that your fruit is a person's sacrifice.

Now, I use a illustration that reflects the power of the science in history itself, because we saw in the cartoon the picture of the brave young man that needed it, and the science was about flying around in the air in front of a group of citizens that said, "...you can't scare me, it ain't no good.".

In other words, you haven't got the vaccine. Suppose that vaccine doesn't arrive, and a terrible plague hits our country this fall, and people are dying by what hundreds of miles over the world. And, let's say within the space of a week, there are a thousand people dying in the city of Durham from the swine flu.

I hope the Senate doesn't know what's in store. I have no idea what's going to happen later this year, but what's coming across me is this. That's what I'm taking on the pledge of the word of God, and then, in the hurry of trying to get the people to learn, and all this foolish, bollocks-working cynical attitude thing, somebody, in a hurry, gets to the next victim and forgets to cover up the grave of one.

And, you know, these days, there's a few human friends that lay it down, or anything else. Somebody comes along and seals the box off, or the box will leave you lying there until the rain has picked up on your riding truck.

And, through the rain, you lie there cooking up the rain, and in the spring, and the warm weather, the worms begin to eat away at you, and maybe you go out into the cemetery, and you're told that you're in a place of need for a mother and father's grave.

And, as you make your way to the cemetery, somebody drops you in the truck for free. Somebody's trying to make you freeze like a bird's eye view, and you're standing there hypnotized. Whoa! Come here!

All the world is coming towards you. So, you set your railroad tracks up, and you go from side to side to keep yourself on track for the freight. And, you go, and you lift it down in a hole that's a walking human corpse, eaten up with the worms and the stink inside there, lifting up your head off your shoulders.

This is what the Holy Spirit sounds like in the perfect picture of a throat of an insane person over an unregenerated heart. Well, shall I prove this? Shall I ask you to go to the troubles and the rains of the liquid in the city?

No. Shall I ask you to go to the high school and look through the tears through the hurls? No. I won't even sing in downtown, but we'll have to contact the rest of the girls around the club when we show you the third grade.

Or sing it down to the second and third grade, and let you listen to the future factor that comes out of now, probably a little too. And, if you don't believe what this says, we'll see. The girls at the men's playground look like an orphan's grave.

Well, why does God talk so strangely about us? He doesn't forget at all. He doesn't understand that we need to be saved. And, then, he goes on to look in verses 19 and 20, which the Spirit of God tells us in these two verses that our condition by nature being what it is, that obedience to the commandments of God and love and keeping the commandments will not limit us such a terrible condition.

That's the context of verses 19 and 20. Notice, in 19, he says, now we know that God speaks to us in the last days, that that's when we're under the law. But, every night may be stopped, and all the world may become filthy before God.

But, as opposed to the law, what's the stranger that you continue when you see a few years a day, and you don't fast, and you don't drink, and you don't smoke, and you don't do any of those vicious things that make you know you're a sinner, listen to the law.

That's not the law by God, the law by what? The law by faith, the law by faith, and then there's the law by God, not heaven. And, if you don't keep that one, you're on your way to hell. Leave it up to him at one point if you're a good guy.

You see, the law is given, my friend, to shut your mouth. Don't make a flag about keeping the commandments. Look in verse 20. Therefore, for because of this... Now, this takes us back to our condition.

We'll open up here in verse 19. Therefore, because of our condition by the deeds of the law, verse 20 now, that your mouth might be justified in this by your hand of the law, my friend, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

You got it? By the law is the knowledge of sin. By the law is the knowledge of sin. We can refine an interpretation for this passage in the second chapter, and you don't have far to go to look at it. In verse 7 of chapter 7, Paul says, and remember, in Philippians chapter 3, Paul was speaking of his righteousness that he should have by keeping the law and by offering sacrifices and ritual and ceremony and so on.

Paul says, touching the righteousness which was in the law I was slain with. But, he discovered that he was a sinner, and hardly Paul discovered that he was guilty of a sin. Now, that man was so righteous, the only possible way he could discover that he was a sinner, he did.

And, notice in verse 7 of Romans 7, what Paul is saying there is something else here. God forbid, no, I have not known sin by the law, nor have I known life except the law of prayer. Now, shall my time.

And, here is a man who lived such a life before God with the faith, and Philippians chapter 8, the righteousness which was in the law I was slain with. Let me brag here, he was speaking by the inspiration of the Spirit of God, but he said that there was something wrong in me, but I didn't know what it was until I read the commandments, and the commandments said, I shall not have it.

And, I said, so be it, for the law will guide me. And, I realized that was it. And, you see my spirit, Paul knew that he was a sinner by the law. Now, this is the purpose of the law, do you understand?

By the law, the law of your sins. No way does the law say that I was condemned, but I was condemned. You know, I don't know about you, but in the spring of the year when the weather starts warming up a little bit, and the temperature starts going up a little bit, and the rain starts to get in the sky, there are two things that happen in the rain.

My right tailbone gets a twitch, and my left backbone gets a tug, and so my whole world begins to get a tug, and I'm ready to go. Now, the next thing that happens in the year is you get inside a little bit of cold, and you get in the dirt.

You don't have that feeling in the spring of the year. You're too much. Okay, let's suppose we're all going to have the same type of corruption. We're just a lot. Now, you go out in the yard, and you're digging around in the garden, and you've got two pairs of skirts.

Only if you've got two pairs of skirts, do you know what you're going to die. The first place that it is, is right here. It's never safe. It's so difficult when you've got to go to the end of where you are yet.

You don't know when to get out of it. So, next, in a way, the first thing you know, you lick off what you've rubbed off, and then the next place you lick off back is either here, or here, or here, or down here.

The first thing you know, you've rubbed it off. Well, in the summertime, you're going to Santa's, and it's nice and breezy. You go in the house, and there is a fine little kitchen. You go by the house, and you wash your face, and you look up from the wall in the mirror.
