The Doctrine of the Week for this Sunday is angels. So the

Hebrew word malak and the Greek term angelos, translated angel, simply means messenger.

So the angels of God are exactly that. They are messengers of God, but they are also servants of God.

The book of Hebrews chapter 1 verse 14 says that angels are ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation.
