Hello and welcome back to Daily Bites of God's Word. This is Andy Cain and it's a joy to be back with you once again.
Today we're looking at Psalm 119 verse 58. It says, I have sought to please your face with all my heart.
Be gracious to me according to your word or according to your promise. Here we see the psalmist saying,
I have sought to please you. I have sought to obey you. He said in the previous verse, you know, I said
I would keep your word. Is this the theme of your heart, the theme of your life?
Do you say to the Lord, I seek to please your face, meaning when I stand before you,
I will stand in a pleasing way in which you will be pleased with what I have done, pleased with what
I've accomplished, and pleased with how I'm living. Do you seek to please the Lord with all your heart, meaning all of who you are, your mind, your heart, your soul, your body, everything about you, everything that you have, everything that you are is by the grace of God.
So everything that you have and everything that you are should be used in such a way as to please the face of God.
And Lord, it's because of this, we ask you to be gracious to us. Lord, be gracious to us according to your promises, according to who you are, according to your word that you've given us.
We just want to see your grace in our lives. We can handle seeking to please you, and that should be what every
Christian should want to do. Is that what you want to do today with your life, with this day that the
Lord has given you? Do you want to see the Lord be gracious to you? He's gracious, He's good, regardless of what we do.
But because of His graciousness, because of His promises, we should be seeking to please Him every day from, from and with all our heart.
