Loving Jesus Means Obeying His Commands

Prayer Meetings Cultivate Serious Devotion

Deeply affected with to be hardcore get on some strict discipline. You know what if I was you guys young people I go to the prayer meetings. See when I was 19 years old I Went to my first prayer meeting.

I've been saved five days. That means six days ago I was stoned. Didn't know the Bible didn't know any kind of the Christian lingo, and I'm not afraid so I get there to the purpose one. So that when I do a prayer me right there and In about two minutes I had already prayed for the whole world I'm done.

So then I'm looking at my what I'm thinking it and but they're still talking. I could hear him all praying. Well, then at 45 minute 40 45 minutes. I'm looking at my Minutes, are you serious about two hours two and a half hours later me and I'm thinking.

So they go back to the table so we'll just go back to the. They pray for three more hours. But you know what by the end of that time. So I started thinking about where I was. And I'm thinking about prison time coming up, and I'm like oh, man, so I Would highly recommend it go to a prayer meeting.

Prayer Is Sustained Communion With God

So I went to a prayer meeting. Your face before God man suck some carpet amen. You know why because when you talk to somebody. See you're not gonna know somebody if you just hang out with them for two minutes.

What can you say about a person over two minutes see when I was going out with Amy, man? I would be on the phone with Amy till my ear. Mm-hmm, and then you would move the phone to the. It's expensive.

And sweaty. Because the phone's been stuck to you. But guess what. Talking we're in communication right but see some people they want to be in communication with God. And they get up in the morning, or you're doing one of those.

You know really lukewarm prayers where you just stay in bed. You fall asleep and doze off and you start dreaming about something. And then you wake up and you so out of it. And then you start thinking about what you're gonna wear for the day, and that's how your prayer is all sloppy.

You're not even focused and then You get up, and you're like. You have certain prayer requests that you made, but you notice it. And you're you're wanting some answers, and you're starting to get confused, and you've got all these things going on and really what's happened is that you are in a relationship where.

God Speaks Through His Word

You guys that are dating now what if what if you call each other and and You get on the phone hello. Are you there Skyler? You know and no answer well, what's gonna happen find it. Yeah, that's what would happen.

But see we when we talk to God we expect God to answer all my needs, and this is my list. And then you just walk up just tell me what I need to do it and guys I go go to my work. See if you're not in the word you're not a communicator see cuz you're talking to him, but you're not letting him talk to you.

So you're blabbing all these things to God all your prayer requests. But you don't let him talk to you because see if you listen to God he's gonna give you some instruction. He already knows what you need what you want.

He already knows, but he's trying to tell you wait do this and see how this prophet Did it and see how I told this servant, and he's using all these examples to show us. But if we don't read the word well, we're still over here freaking out because man we hadn't had an answer.

Mm-hmm, and you're all confused because you don't know what to do and this whole time you got everything you need right here in the word. And you don't even pick it up. You expect it just to happen you know you're just rubbing over here, okay, God, and you walk away expecting very very key now.

Obedience Sparks Revival

When you do all these things Idiots, what happens when you obey revival? Revival starts, and you know what happens when revival comes.
