The Duty of Civil Authorities to Oppose Abortion

My name is Marcus Pittman, I am a member of Apologia Church, and I am sick of coming here every single week. We come here every time there's a city council meeting, and we talk to you guys about the same exact subject, abortion.

And we don't hear a single thing back from any one of you, especially Jim, who has the endorsement of Arizona Right to Life and the Center for Arizona Policy, he hasn't contacted our church one time, our church has over 150 ,000 YouTube subscribers, we have several thousand Facebook likes, and In the Abortion Now works with 350 churches all over the country.

We have a huge following, but yet we can't get a single city council member to come together with us and work with us on a bill to uphold 13 -3603 here in Arizona, not once. Now, Jim, I watched your video of you being sworn into council, and one of the things you say is that you are to protect the citizens of Arizona from all enemies, foreign and domestic.

And I'd like to ask you, Jim, at what point is someone declared a domestic enemy? At what point? Is there a taxation rate the federal government could set that you would say, that point, I would protect our citizens, and I would defy the federal government?

Is there an act the federal government could do? Could they take away our guns? At that point, would you say, hey, I'm going to defy the federal government? In 1850s, there was a Fugitive Slave Act, and Wisconsin defied the federal government and said we will not return slaves back to their owners.

And yet, there's been 70 million children killed in our nation, and yet no council member I have seen, and through End Abortion Now, there are several all over the country. No council member I have seen yet has said, we will work to defy the federal government and end abortion, no matter what the Supreme Court says, no matter what federal law says, we will protect the enemies, both foreign and especially the domestic ones that decide to destroy our nation.

So I'm begging all of you guys to reach out to us, let's work, let's not regulate abortion clinics to make sure that they're ADA compliant. If somebody was trying to make rape legal, and they created rape centers, it would be foolish to say, we need to make ADA compliant rape centers.

No, we need to shut them down. And that's what I'm asking you guys to do, especially the ones that have the endorsement of the pro-life groups, to actually end abortion and defy the federal government.
