And in doing so, we are going to start with those that are from the name El or Elohim.

First is El Elyon. This is the idea that says that God is the most high

God that shows that characteristic of Him. We also will see El Shaddai, which has the idea of the

God who provides. We have El Oman, which is the everlasting

God. El Roya, which is the God who sees. You have the ones with Jehovah.

You have Jehovah Jireh, the Lord provides. Jehovah Rapha, the Lord our healer.

We have Jehovah Nisi, the Lord our banner. Jehovah Mekadesh Shem, the

Lord our sanctification. Jehovah Shalom, the

Lord our peace. Jehovah Sabbath, the Lord of hosts. Jehovah Roya, the

Lord our shepherd. Jehovah Sikhenu, the

Lord our righteousness. Jehovah Shemaha, the

Lord our present. Then you have Adonai, which again means Lord or ruler.

So you see here in these different names for God some of the characteristics that we can learn about who

God is and know something more about Him. This is why studying the names of God can be helpful.
