Giving Tuesday and Two Ways to Support the Ministries

Welcome to a TLP snippet. I'm sorry to say that today I will not be sharing parenting wisdom in five minutes or less. Instead, I want to make you aware of two very special opportunities. Most of you know all about Black Friday and many of you are possibly taking advantage of Cyber Monday right about now, but do you know about Giving Tuesday?

Giving Tuesday is a global online movement to rise up and support your favorite nonprofits. After a weekend of shopping for good deals, November 28th offers a day for good deeds. Well, I have two good deeds to tell you about today.

This Giving Tuesday, Victory Academy for Boys, the organization for which I work, is asking you to help them raise money for their scholarship fund. We work with at-risk teens and their families and we do charge tuition for our students and campers, but many families simply cannot afford the cost of having their son in our programs.

Individuals and churches who choose to give to our scholarship fund allow us to be able to help offset the cost of tuition to families who need it most. If you're interested in giving to this cause, you can visit the donation form directly at www .vafb .org forward slash Giving Tuesday and of course I'll provide that link in the description.

Now, although the donation form will not go live until November 28th, you can check out some other information about Giving Tuesday that we have on that web page, so check it out before you give on Tuesday.

Giving Through the Victory Academy Facebook Page

You can also choose to give through the Victory Academy Facebook page, which I will also link in the description, and which will allow your gift to be matched by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation up to two million dollars.

If you would like to see your gift match, be sure to give specifically through Facebook as soon as it opens at 8 a .m. Eastern Standard Time on November 28th. Even if you don't donate two million dollars, all card fees are waived on Giving Tuesday.

After you make your donation, you can have some fun by printing out Victory Academy's Unselfie template to take an unselfie and post it on your social media pages. This is kind of a way to make our cause your cause.

Supporting Truth Love Parent on Giving Tuesday

Okay, so that's the first giving opportunity we wanted to highlight for TLP's Giving Tuesday. The second opportunity is just a simple request for you to consider giving to Truth Love Parent this Tuesday.

There are a number of ways to do this, and you can find them all by clicking on the link, Five Ways to Support TLP. God has been gracious to allow both Victory Academy for Boys and Truth Love Parent to continue spreading His loving truth all over the U .S. and the world.
