Hello, my fellow fellow citizens of the mainland. Welcome to the September 20th Sino-Mandarin Conference. Today's topic is, How did this happen? The text is recorded in Chapter 6, Verse 2 to Chapter 7.
On the highway, the traffic was blocked. The car seemed to be moving slowly. Drivers would know that there was a traffic accident ahead. The police car in front was flashing red lights. Drivers on the highway kept turning their heads, as if they were watching the road in the opposite direction.
Oh, so there was a traffic accident. To satisfy their curiosity, they wanted to know what was going on. The noise was coming from the room next door. The noise was louder than usual.
Perhaps, what was even more worrying,.
Was that there was no sound in the room. So, they opened the door, turned their heads, and asked, What is going on? We are usually curious, confused, and at a loss. In the end, we are surprised. Because what actually happened, was very different from what we expected.
For example, the accident on the highway. We were very surprised. We slowed down. Perhaps, the gym was a social place. Many people were chatting there, instead of exercising. We kept asking, What is going on?
In this passage, from Exodus 6 -7, the Israelites wanted to know what was going on. They listened to what Moses had said. They believed that Jehovah would lead them out of Egypt, free them from slavery, and give them food.
This was what they hoped for.
However,.
Now they had to produce the same crops. They had to find the grass themselves, to produce the crops. At this point, the Israelites were beaten and scolded by the Egyptians. Their lives became more difficult.
At this point,.
Moses also said to Jehovah, You did not save your own people at all. At this point, Jehovah said to Moses, Now you will see.
Now,.
Moses wanted to see what was going on. In this passage, I want to tell you that there are two things that will happen at the same time. The first thing is the manifestation and the destiny. What is going on?
In the second chapter of chapter 6, God said, I am Jehovah. His declaration is a manifestation of his own beginning and end. It is like a series of books.
First,.
He manifested himself to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He manifested himself to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He manifested himself to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He manifested himself to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
In chapter 43, when Jacob sent his children to Isaac, he prayed to God, and he handed them over to the God of all people. This is how Jehovah manifested himself. He is the God of all people. In this book, we read earlier, how did God say his name?
He said, I am Jehovah. I am the one who is free, who has freedom, and who is free forever.
I am.
He is the only true God. In chapter 4, he explained that he is completely free. He is the true God. He made a promise. He made a promise to us, and it came true. This is the truth of the book of Egypt, and the truth of the Bible.
He made a promise, and it came true.
Today,.
People think that freedom, or freedom, and promise are two different things. They think that a promise is a form of Jesus, who interferes with their freedom. Today, many Christians think that they are free in the Lord, and because they are free, they do not need to make any promises to the Church.
They are free to do whatever they want, as they please, with their own political party, or their own band, or with their favorite hymns, or with their favorite jeans, or with their favorite church bells, or with their favorite music.
They can participate in worship anywhere, and they do not need to be tied up in a church.
They are free.
But in this book,.
The book of Egypt,.
The only thing that is not free is our true God. He made a promise, and it came true. In the book of Genesis, we see that Yahweh made a single promise to Abraham.
In the Bible,.
There are torches that smoke and burn, passing through those pieces of meat. This means that Yahweh and Abraham are the promises of the free God to Abraham. This is what is written in the book of Genesis.
Yahweh is fulfilling his promise. But the Israelites are slaves in Egypt, oppressed and oppressed. They are thinking, what is going on? In chapter 6, verse 5, Yahweh says, I heard their voice of love, and I remember their promise.
Of course, Yahweh will not forget his promise.
But,.
The Israelites may think that Yahweh has forgotten. They may say, what is going on?
No,.
Yahweh remembers his promise.
So,.
He starts to move. He will take action to fulfill his promise. Let's move on to chapter 6.
Here,.
Yahweh says again, I am Yahweh, the God of all people,.
Of freedom,.
Of everything. He says to Moses, you have to tell the Israelites, what is going on here? Yahweh has spoken.
We have to pay attention. From chapter 6, verse 6, to chapter 8, Yahweh has announced seven things that I have to do.
Notice,.
There are seven things that Yahweh has said, that I have to do.
Let's see what these seven things are.
I have to save you from the heavy burden of the Egyptians. Yahweh has to fulfill his promise. He has to save the Israelites from the heavy burden. He also has to save us from the world of sin, the world of evil, the world of the fallen, and Satan.
If someone says, he has been saved, but he is still living in a life before he is saved, then this person must re-examine whether he is truly saved, whether he is truly free, and whether Jesus Christ lives in his heart.
Second,.
I have to save you from their suffering. Here, I am referring to the Egyptians. Moses asks in chapter 5,.
O God,.
What is happening? Why have you not yet come to save your people? Yahweh has promised that he will do four things. This is his promise. He will definitely save them. Notice, there is a word here,.
Which is,.
You.
This word,.
You,.
Is the most important word. It is also the most righteous word.
Save us.
The grace of God.
Is bestowed.
On those who are in need of it.
We,.
With our free will, accept His grace. He will definitely accept us. Of course, this also includes the Pharisees. In chapter 6, it is Yahweh's promise to the Israelites. He will come down and save them.
Third,.
I want,.
I want to be yours. This is the third word. The first word is to lead out. The second word is.
To leave.
The third word is to redeem. This can be said to be Yahweh, the redeemer of our family. He is our close relative. The price he has paid is to redeem us from slavery and sin. Yahweh says that the Israelites are His children.
In the book of Exodus,.
This redemption is Yahweh's punishment for the sins of the people that He has borne.
That is,.
To kill the children of the Israelites.
In the end,.
Yahweh will use His only Son,.
Jesus,.
As the Lamb of God to be nailed to the cross to redeem us.
Fourth, I want,.
I want to be yours.
Yahweh's promise is to save the Israelites and make them the children of God. They will not only be redeemed from slavery, they will also be saved by Yahweh and become His children. God will save us so that we will be free from the flames of the fire and so that we will have the confidence to enter Heaven.
We will no longer be slaves to sin. We will no longer be slaves to Satan. We are the children of God. We are His children.
Fifth, I want,.
Yahweh says, I want to be your God. This is a new relationship between God and us. You may ask, isn't God everyone's God? No, He is not. Some people worship false gods and pursue money,.
Life,.
And material pleasure. They throw away the Church, the Bible,.
The prayer books,.
And the Christian community.
They may have a religious understanding, but they do not have a father-son relationship with God. If God really saves you, He is your God. And you will know, this is what is said in chapter 6 verse 7, I am Yahweh your God.
I will save you from your burdens. So if you really know God, you will know that Yahweh is the one and only true God.
Sixth,.
Yahweh says, I want to lead you to the promised land. He led us from slavery to death. Now He is leading us to His promised land. Brothers and sisters, He said before that He would lead us out of Egypt,.
Out of slavery.
Now He says, He will lead us to the promised land. It is a beautiful land. It is His promised land. It is His promised land. It is our land. Now He is leading us out of slavery.
Seventh, I want,.
I want to eat that land to fulfill our wish. That is to say, the food that Yahweh gives to us is not something that we should earn. We cannot earn a flourishing life.
