Covenant Unfaithfulness (James 4:4–5) — Wisdom for Pilgrims

We often give our sins respectable names, but James calls friendship with the world what it is: covenant unfaithfulness. God has planted and cared for His vineyard, and He seeks the fruit of faithful obedience—not just the appearance of religion. Our hope is not in our own harvest, but in Jesus Christ, the true Vine and faithful Bridegroom, who calls us to forsake His rivals and come home.⁠⁠
