- Protestant Reformation. Some of you might go to churches that have Reformation Day. The Protestant Reformation, just over 500 years ago, it was a time of rediscovery.

- We think of the Latin phrases that describe the key elements of what was reemphasized or rediscovered during the

- Protestant Reformation, Sola Scriptura, Sola Christus, Sola Fide, Sola Gratiae, and Sola Deo Gloria.

- But as we think of those big phrases, which are kind of the flagstones, the foundational stones of true

- Christianity, one of the things that the Reformation also did was helped

- Christians to think again or to rediscover the significance, the importance in the kingdom of God, the beauty of the local church, of the gathering of believers.

- In 2020, Media Gratiae set out to do a documentary and a corresponding study with Dr.

- Jeff Johnson on the nature of the church, and the study is called

- This is the complete study set, and it comes with two books by Jeff, The Church, Pillar and Ground of Truth, and The Church, Her Nature, Authority, Purpose, and Worship.

- And it also comes with DVDs, and one of these is the documentary, and as the team traveled throughout the world, literally making the documentary, they were also putting together this study on the church, and if you haven't looked at that,

- He's a pastor, he is the head of a seminary, and he's a teacher, but I would say that more than anything, what sticks out in my mind about Jeff is that he is a genuine follower of Christ, just very, what you see is what you get.
