The Former Devotion of Believers

It's a conscience I believe. That's what Brackhaven mentioned as one of the priorities just a few minutes ago. You see Ben, I go to an average of 25 nations a year. And in Cameroon? Last year I was in 36 localities.

I find the saints in very bad shape. Most of them are living in the shadow of their former selves. They are living in the shadow of their former walk with God. It's a time to stop God. With all their hearts.

It's a time to love God with all their hearts. It's a time to hate everything with all their hearts. But it's no longer the same. It's a time they were desperate to give God their all. It's a time when God meant everything.

It's a time when God was their joy. It's a time they lived exclusively for the glory of God. They were prepared to obey God and damn the consequences. I rarely find people in that condition anymore. Except young converts.

That's radicalism in following Jesus. That's radicalism of obedience. That's radicalism in termination with sin. That's commitment to put everything to God's will. It's something of the past. Jesus has...

They are now looking for something else to satisfy them. They are now looking for something else to satisfy them. Jesus is no longer satisfying them. They are backsliders. They have lost their first love.

They now understand what they could never have understood in those early days. They are now understanding what they could never have understood in those early days. They are more understanding with the world.

The fire of their first love of the Lord. And their unwillingness to compromise. Their conflicts with their families. Conflicts stand there. Now, they have gone back. And settled everything. There is now peace.

Their families have not accepted Christ. Their homes were separated. Their families could not come because there was so much light. Now, it's not a continuum. The family is there. Everything is just. There is now one.

It's a oneness. The worldly friends are back. Everything has become one. The lies they could not tell. The small lies they now tell. The lies they could not tell. The small lies they now tell. God understands.

He can now justify their sin. Something is dead inside them. The God who spoke clearly. Everything is now blurred. By then, if they didn't have the dynamic encounter with God, it was like death. Now, they can go for one or two days.

Without dynamic encounter with God. And they just go on. If they didn't read their Bibles any day, they felt like dying. Now, they can go one, two, three, four days. And they are not troubled. By then, they prayed and prayed.

They prayed alone. They were talking to God. But that is now a difficulty. Except to go to God to try to get something out of God. A backslider is a person who spends less time with God alone now than he did in the past.

By then, he had socks. He had small booklets. He was burdened to release the gospel. He kneeled with sinners to lead them to the Lord. But the backslider has no truth. No booklets. He will talk to people about anything else except Jesus.

And if he mentions Jesus,.

He will not confront the people with the need to receive the Lord. He will not ask, will you receive the Lord here and now? That is not in the backslider's language. He can go for a week without telling anybody about the Lord.

He can spend a month without leading someone to the Lord. He does not remember when he and the sinner last knelt down so that the sinner would receive the Lord. He used to fast. But fasting is out of leisure.

Food is very near. And very dear. It is intimate with food. The fasting life is either completely removed or heavily reduced. He used to read Christian literature. It was a funda for God. For the Bible.

And for books that built up the faith. No, Christian literature is not read. It is not studied. Oh, he has reduced the rate of reading. And he hardly studies. Many books started but not completed. He used to build people.

He used to build people. But now, he is building nobody. He had goals to make sure that people were mature. Now he is building nobody. He used to command people to do things. To do certain things. And supervise.

To ensure that they did it. Now he commands nobody. His sin used to trouble him. And the sin of others used to trouble him. Because there were knives into the heart of his Lord. But now, he forgives everybody.

He is not troubled. By then, if he spoke evil of the Lord. He would throw a knife into his feet. He would speak against those who spoke evil of the Lord. But now, he is not disturbed. By then, he gave sacrificially to the Lord.

He impoverished himself to make God's kingdom and God's purposes rich. Now, he is burdened by his own needs. God's kingdom can wait. God's interest can wait. By then, if he sinned, he would repent immediately.

And he would repent with weeping. Now, his sick eyes are dry. Because the heart is dry. The eyes are dry. He used to pray and weep. He used to weep for the souls of men. But today, the tears are dry. Except the tears of self-pity.

And no tears for God's name. No tears for God's purposes. Before, he knew what he wanted to do with his life. Now, he no longer knows. He may still talk about a goal. But it is just deceit. He does not know where he is going to.

He does not know what he wants. There is no massive investment of time into one thing for God. There is no massive investment of time into one thing for God. There is no massive investment of time into one thing for God.

Occasionally, he does something here and there. There is no supreme vision. There is no supreme commitment. There is no supreme price paid. He has more and more vision for the world. For the things of the world.

He takes more and more things. More and more things. He has betrayed the Lord. He has abandoned the Lord. Before, he wanted to tell everybody that Jesus is good. Before, he wanted to tell everybody that Jesus is good.

But now, other dreams fill his heart. For no dream at all. He has stopped being a dreamer. He has stopped being a man of vision. He cannot keep God's sight. The option is minimal. The last cataclysm is here and there.

So that they may have no kingdom repurcussed. He is a man without God. He now gives general counsel.

Now, before, they were very specific. It is of the past, of the past, of the past.

The Cold Heart of the Backslider

God cannot fill the back ladder with the Holy Spirit. The heart is cold towards God. The heart is cold towards God. Alone with God, the heart is cold towards God. It is a cold heart towards God. He may make noise.

But alone, it is a cold heart towards God. You know, you have caused shivers. You have caused shivers of spiritual experience. He sings things that are not true in his life. He sings. He sings joy, joy, joy.

When his heart is frozen with coldness towards God. He sings all to Jesus that I surrender. That he knows what is not surrender. He sings I am sanctified. He knows sin's roots in his life. Inside he is not satisfied.

God has not satisfied him. He is discontent. He is seeking what he does not know. He wants to stop. Maybe God has put your heart to pray. What are you doing in North America? Because when there is no supreme goal there can be no supreme passion.

And no supreme action. What must happen or you die? What is at stake? What is at stake? What is at stake? What is the supreme vision? Oh, you are just like... Yes, I am just going by. How old are you?

What can you show God for the present age? To double your age and double what you have done. Will it be a subject of praise to God? Would you be satisfied? Would you say I have invested my life? No, no, because these are the reality, friend.

The Holy Spirit and a Supreme Burden

This is so close to our subject being through the Holy Spirit. Because the Holy Spirit fills people who have things that they have to do for God or perish. There is some of them to you. In Judges 6 verse 33 the Bible says Now all the Midianites Amalekites and all the Eastern Jews joined forces and came to the Valley of Israel.

Against Gideon. You have to fight for God. The cause of God was at stake.

Gideon and the people of God against a massive army of the enemy. Without divine intervention it would be ruined. Verse 34. When the sword of the Lord came upon Gideon the sword of the Lord came upon Gideon.

The sword of the Lord came upon the shoulder of Christ upon the shoulder of Christ with a massive army of the enemy against him with a massive army of the enemy against him. His only deliverance was that God's power came upon him.

His only possibility of deliverance was that the sword of God came upon him. The sword of God came upon him the sword of the Lord came upon him.

It would be absolutely impossible absolutely impossible.

For the Holy Spirit to fall upon him. Why? What he needs is that the spirit of lust to fall upon him. What he needs is that the spirit of lust to fall upon him. The spirit of lust to fall upon him. A massive confederation of the army of the enemy against Gideon.

The spirit of the Lord came upon him so that he could demolish the enemies of the Lord. Something to do with the Holy Spirit is that the sword of God should be at stake. That the ultimate sword of God should be at stake.

That a man has right in that sword of perish.

That a man has a right for God for which he has used all the strength of his life.

For which he has used all the strength of his life. And it was not enough and he had to have power from above that he would cry to God and the power of God would come upon him in order to release this victory for God.

But for an indulgent people totally at ease or enslaved with the love of the world inflamed by the love of the world inflamed by the glory of the world inflamed by the propagation of the world. The Holy Spirit can only withdraw further and further.

What is at stake? I want you to be honest with yourself. What is at stake? The next incident that the trumpeters were thrown in the hands of the philistines and ammonites judges 10 verse 8. It's a school that yes shattered and frozen for 18 years.

They oppressed all the israelis from the inside of the Jordan and Gilead the land of the Amorites. The Amorites also crossed the Jordan to fight against Judah and Israel was in great distress. Israel was in great distress.

Israel was in great distress. They cried to the Lord that they sinned. Do us whatever you think best but please raise us now. Then they got rid of the foreign gods among them and said to the Lord in the crisis of Egypt in the chapter 11 verse 29.

Then they saw that all came from Jephthah. Jephthah was the deliverer. They saw that all came from Jephthah because Israel was in great distress. They caught Gilead and Manasseh and passed through many parts of Gilead and from there passed against the Amorites.

Verse 32. Jephthah went over to fight the Amorites and the Lord gave them into his hands. He divided 20 towns from Arweia to the cities of Minis. As far as Ebel Karamin he fought hard from Arweia to Minis 20 cities.

As far as Ebel Karamin and the Amorites were humiliated. The throne of the Lord was in danger. The people of God were in great distress. They needed a man on whom the Holy Spirit was to lead the armies of God.

Please take her out. It was an emergency. It was a crisis. God had to step in. God had to step in and there was a man upon whom the Spirit of the Lord came upon him and the Spirit of the Lord came upon him and he led the armies of God.

He divided 20 towns and among those cities the Spirit of God came upon him. It is not the spirit of entertainment. It is not the spirit of entertainment. What is at stake? What is at stake? Into what have you invested your all?

Into what have you invested your all? And yet you are in trouble. So God must intervene supernaturally. God must intervene supernaturally. Samson was destined to be a deliverer to her. In chapter 14 verse 5 Samson went down to Thimla together with his father and mother.

The spirit of the Lord called upon the others. But now, the spirit of the Lord called upon him in power. So it was a higher anointing. And he took the lion and tore it as if it was a goat. And the deliverer was saved.

Samson had to pay his debts to the Philistines. Verse 19, the spirit of the Lord called upon him in power. He went down to Acheron. Chopped down the heads of their men. Stripped them of their belongings.

And gave their clothes to those who had explained the reason. Burning with anger, he went down to his father's house. Burning with anger, he went down to his father's house. Burning with anger, he went down to his father's house.

Contentment With Barrenness

It is not possible that he went down to his father's house. You understand everything. You are totally at ease. You understand that this is a sin. You understand the fact that the people have not sent to God.

You understand that there should be a few people in the assembly instead of thousands. And you say, well, someday something will happen. Whatever will happen. You are content with barrenness. You are content with barrenness.

You are content to spend a whole year with only these short boots alone. You are not shocked that every month only somebody is alone. You are not surprised with barrenness that makes you sick. Who makes history?

Negative history. You are not troubled. That is good, they come and go, they come and go. You are not troubled. You have not touched anything in the Lord. You have not produced another leader or other leader.

You are not troubled. After five years, you do not have a team around you. You are not troubled. After five, ten years in the Lord, there are not a great gang to be suffered. You have not produced children, you have not produced children, you have not produced children in the Lord.

There is nothing at stake. You are not troubled by the corruption around you. People come and tell about their corruption and you say, it is ok, it is ok. The country is like that. The story is told. A certain man quarreled with his wife.

They went to the man's father. The man came and told his story to the father. The man came and told his story to his father. The father said, you are right, you are right, you are right. After that, his wife came and told, the man who had just finished telling the story, his wife came and told her own story.

His wife came and told her own story. Exactly opposite of the story that her husband had told. The father said, you are right, you are right, you are right. The child who was sitting there said to the father, the child who was sitting there, he said, Papa, Grandpa, if Papa said this and Mama said the opposite, both of them cannot be right.

They told the child, you are right, you are right, you are right.

Your heart is big enough to contain every evil. All corruption. You understand. You agree with the Republicans and you agree with the Democrats. You are inflamed against nothing. You stand against nothing.

You speak against nothing. You work against nothing.

You are moved by nothing. You are moved by nothing.

You cannot afford the luxury of non-involvement. You are just looking for your selfish gain. Such a person. He is not a candidate to be in the Holy School. Why should the Holy School trouble a man? Why should the Holy Spirit trouble a man?

The Holy Spirit cannot trouble a man who repents. You cry before God about nothing. There are no cries in your life. There is no mourning in your life. There are no tears. There is no anguish. You live in a true paradise.

Someone said the sufferer thinks. The sufferer thinks. The fool is unleashed. Unleashed in a world of imaginary happiness. He lives in a world of imaginary happiness. Separate from the realities. He was fighting God battles.

He had one vision to eliminate the philistines. He started to dream of AIDS. He attacked them viciously and slaughtered many of them. Then he went down and killed them. He went down and breathed in the cave of the rocks of the temple.

The philistines went up and camped against him. The men of Judah asked, why have you come to fight us? You have come to take something prisoner. They answered, to do to him as he has done with us. When you shall smash him cross and the devil kill him.

Where are the marks of your crushing of the devil's kingdom? Whenever Samson went, he did harm to the devils. He did harm. He did harm. He did harm. They have not met in heaven even once to discuss it.

As far as hell is concerned, you don't exist. You are not a trouble of hell. I went to Britain, Ghana to preach.

One morning I went to jog.

I jogged six kilometers. Then I began to jog back. I was a bit tired. So I was jogging slowly. I met somebody. He said softly, softly, softly. He didn't know me. I was one of them in colors. He said softly, softly, softly.

I kept jogging. I was very rapid. Say what? You are very tired? Come on, go, go, go, go! None of the two men knew me. Yes, they are the ones who say softly, softly, softly. They are not full of war. They are not full of beating.

They are not full of comforting. There are no plans to pull down the devil's kingdom. There are no plans to win the maximum number of people in the span of a lifetime for the Lord of Heaven. There are no projects to which your soul has hatched and which your worries promote.

Come down quickly for your failure is awesome. Your life and ministry are planned in such a way that you don't need God to continue as you are going on. No, no, you don't need God to continue the ministry as it is going on.

Once a week there is somebody saved and you clap and bless God. There is no God. Give me six. Give me six if you could have it for me. Protect my life. There is nothing in God. Slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly.

Samson and Divine Empowerment

Verse fourteen. When he arrived in Lehi the peasants began to shout at him. The spirit of the Lord came and set him on fire. The body he had in his arms became like charred lead. And a tiny jawbone of a donkey he clasped it and struck down a thousand men.

Then he came to say with a donkey's jawbone I have made a donkey of them. With a donkey's jawbone I have killed a thousand men. With a donkey's jawbone I have killed a thousand men. When he had finished speaking he threw away the jawbone and the place was called Rama Lehi.

Because he was very thirsty he cried out to the Lord that give me your servant to do good to him. Must I now die of thirst and pounce your hands on the uncircumcised? Must I now die of thirst and pounce your hands on the uncircumcised?

Then the Lord opened the hollow place in Lehi and water came out of it. God had to perform a miracle to give a drink to his victorious soldier. When Samson drank his strength returned and he revived. When Samson drank his strength returned and he revived.

If you want to be honest.

You will know that there is no need. But if the Holy Spirit came upon you you will make a big mistake. He will empower you for it. Come to prayer while we continue.

A Prayer of Repentance and Renewed Vision

Lord again I repent for this moment where I have been standing there being at ease. Having no burden. Being at ease with the sin around me. Being at ease with the lost nation Lord. With the sin all over.

Lord I repent again Lord. I repent I repent for this moment. Without having a humanity purpose for your glory. There was no need Lord for me to be with you and with the Holy Spirit. And I thank you Lord for reviving my spirit right now.

To show me again Lord the fervor of a fast awakening self heart. And the need you want to serve. The need in Baltimore. The need Lord in Maryland and all over the U .S. for having a great flag Lord for conquering for your kingdom.

And gaining victory for your kingdom. To show that I am responsible. To show that I am responsible. Lord thank you for giving me a role to play. Thank you Lord for giving me a supreme burden for your glory.

I am losing Lord. Only you can win Lord. And I repent I repent for this moment Lord. Being at ease. Just watching. Just eating. Just sitting and eating. Not burdened by any evil around me. Everybody who is here with me can take a minute with me.

To make your great marvelous call for North American people. In the shortest possible time. In the name of Jesus Christ. Anger. Keep on. When I saw someone sad. When I saw him with tears in his eyes. I got cold.

I started evangelization. I got cold. I don't feel anymore. Fear of leaving. Desire of leaving. Not anymore. Even my dynamic meetings with God became light. Cold. And my subliminal things became cheerful and cold.

I confess that forgiving you is not on my heart. It does not burn on my heart. To go at every cost. To confront sins. To confront... the people who need Christ. To bring them to you. I confess that I find myself more and more shy of the Lord and overwhelmed by shame and fear of confronting people.

And I bow down, Lord, to wait for opportunities, to share opportunities, to have opportunities. I have appropriated it to try to present the Gospel. I do not seize, I am not aggressive because I lack forgiveness, Lord.

I confess that I am ashamed of myself, but I pray that you visit me more often. Forgive me, Lord, forgive me. Forgive me to win over the lost, Lord, to win them in great numbers, to win them, to beat them, to win them, the black and the white, to win them, the black and the white, Lord.

I pray that this forgiveness will seize me so that I can be qualified to be filled with the Holy Spirit. So that there is a role, a goal for which I want to be filled with the Holy Spirit. And that this be true before God.

And that this be true before God. And that I be filled with the Holy Spirit. No. Lord, I recognize my situation before God. The truth is that my heart has become cold. Lord, this is my problem. Lord, my heart has become cold.

Lord, cold. Lord, I am not worried about anything anymore. Lord, look at me, I have to go to hell without being worried. Lord, I accept that, Lord, the situation is abnormal. And this is a repetition, Lord, of my intimacy with You.

Because my encounters, what You have seen, have become light. Lord, a profound one, because I have become cold. There is no battle. There is nothing, there is nothing that is in play. Oh God, oh Father.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. There is nothing in my heart, there is nothing in my heart. Throw all your thoughts, my dear sister. Throw all your thoughts.

No, no, sister, no. Sister, no. It's not correct what you are saying, my dear sister. When there is no supreme burden. Nothing ever is ever so supreme. One got to move and do it. What do you want God to do?

There is a lot of dishonest playing going on. It will produce nothing. Let us change the theme. This is the wrong audience.

Let's change the theme, brother. Try not to waste the weekend. Try not to waste our weekend. From the examples we have seen so far.

Biblical Examples of the Spirit Coming Upon the Burdened

The Holy Spirit doesn't sit. It cannot come down. People here have nothing that speaks.

They cannot say to God. I have put my all into doing this. It has not worked. I must have the power that is from God. If God were to send the Holy Spirit here. He would be contradicting himself totally.

And he cannot contradict himself. Let me just show you from the scriptures for a moment. In 1 Samuel. Chapter 10. Samuel says from verse 6. The Spirit of the Lord will come upon you in power. And you will prophesy with them.

And you will be changed into a different person. Once these signs have fulfilled, go do whatever your hand signs will do for God is with you. Go down ahead of me to Gilgal. I will surely come down to you to sacrifice a bunch of things and a plethora of things.

But you must wait seven days until I come to you and tell you what you have to do. But you must wait seven days until I come to you and tell you what you have to do.

As soon as it had turned its back on you,.

God changed Saul's heart. There was another heart on whom the Holy Spirit could come in power. And all these signs would fulfill that day. When they arrived at Gilgal, a procession of prophets came to meet.

The word of the prophet had to be fulfilled. The Spirit of the Lord came upon him in power. And he joined in their prophesying. When all those who had formerly known him saw him prophesying to the prophets, they asked each other, What is this that has happened to the Son of Jesus?

He is also among the prophets. What is this that has happened to the Son of Jesus? He is also among the prophets. What is this that has happened to the Son of Jesus? He is also among the prophets. The Holy Spirit came upon him in power after he had prepared himself to become king.

He became king. If someone reads 1 Samuel chapter 11, chapter 1 or chapter 11,.

When the messenger came to Gibeal of Saul and recorded these terms to the people, they all wept aloud. Just then, Saul was returning from the field. Behind him locked him. And he asked, What is wrong with the people?

Why are they weeping? Then they repeated to him what the men of Jabesh said. When Saul heard their words, the Spirit of God came upon him in power and he burned with anger. He took a pair and locked him.

That's true. That's a Jew. I will make a treaty with you only on the condition that I will gouge out the right eye of every one of you.

And so bring disgrace on all Israel. Disgrace on all Israel. What was at stake? The honor of the Lord. What was at stake? Disgrace on all Israel.

Disgrace on all Israel. A man burned with anger against the enemy of God. A man burned with anger against the possibility of disgrace on all Israel. The Spirit of the Lord came upon him.

So that he might lead the forces of Israel to save the lost men from disgrace. From disgrace. What is at stake in your life? What is at stake in your ministry? Why must the Spirit of God come down? You are doing very well without him.

Cutting out your giant rat projects. Do you know sleepless nights? Because God has not worked. Do you know sleepless nights because of the size of your family? Do you know anything about unceasing weeping, unceasing sorrow, unceasing distress?

Do you know anything about unceasing distress, unceasing weeping in front of God?

Someone answer me while we continue. When you pray, with all your strength, otherwise people will just fall asleep. When you hear a voice, a voice says to you, go to sleep. Upon my condition, I pray that I will know deep contentment, that I will know rest, Lord,.

Upon my condition of ease, of lukewarmness, of lack of flame, of lack of passion, of lack of vision, of lack of goal, Lord.

And that I will wake up from sleep, and that I will wake up from this rise up, Lord, to your call on my life. So that I can say that there is nothing as safe in my life. I am too comfortable, I am too at ease as I beg you, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen.

I pray that I will not have rest, Lord. I pray that I will not lead at least one person, Lord, every month. I pray that I will not lead at least one sinner with a total radical repentance, every month, Lord.

I pray that I will not be dissatisfied, annoyed, and shocked, Lord, by not seeing new revenues, of the sinners being saved and added to the table, Lord, of the sinners being saved and added to the table, every month, people who bother you, who are faithful, who are sincere, who are radically convinced of the truth.

I pray, I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. I pray that I will not have rest, I pray that I will not have rest, I pray that I will not have rest,. I pray that I will not until a new work begins, and the Holy Spirit has the right to resurrect me, until I can do what I cannot do because it requires a supernatural intervention, Lord.

I pray that you bring me to this point, I pray that I come with you to this point, Lord, and I pray that you visit me in this way, Lord, so that, Lord, before I leave, Lord, so that I may be brought to this point, so that things may be new, Lord, so that I may be qualified to be visited, to be transformed, so that I may be happy, Lord.

At the moment, I am not qualified, but I pray for the visitation to be new, so that it may happen here, and that I may always be filled with the Holy Spirit to do a new work, Lord, a new resurrection, Lord, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Oh Lord, I ask you for forgiveness, Father, I ask you for forgiveness so that I may be happy, Lord, I ask you for forgiveness so that I may be able to run just slowly, Lord, if I can, Lord. You must have the Holy Spirit to accomplish.

What do you have for them to do? I want you to write down the goal of your life,.

The whole prayer cannot fill a man running around in circles. There must be a supreme burden to accomplish to accomplish what you have called them to do. The man was in trouble, total trouble, so the Holy Spirit comes down to rescue him.

David’s Service and the Continuous Anointing

First time rescue him, someone boldly reached the six. The man read like a young man with 5 ,000 soldiers before you as your commander. From that day the soul of the Lord came upon David in power. It was a continuous anointing from that day and on and on and continually.

The spirit was strong for him in power. The spirit of David, he had used his strength to demolish the bears and to demolish lions. What have you done with that one son? The Holy Spirit anoints people who have already put in their all and produces a result that a man's all can produce.
