The Divine Inspiration and Authority of All Scripture

3 verse 16, we read that all scripture, all scripture is given by inspiration of God. I repeat, all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable, is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, but the point that I want to stress here tonight, the point that I want to stress here tonight is that all scripture, all scripture is given, given by inspiration of God.

No prophecy of the scripture, no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 2 Peter 1 verse 20, for the prophecy came not in the old time by the will of man, the prophecy came not in the old time by the will of man, but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost, the spirit of the Lord, the spirit of the Lord spake by me and His word was in my tongue.

Samuel wrote in 2 Samuel 23 verse 2, and my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. Psalm 45 verse 1, write thee, write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book, write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.

Jeremiah 30 verse 2, and this commandment from God is repeated over and over again in the Old Testament, to holy men of God, as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. Beloved, all scripture, all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and we dare not begin to falter on this point church of Jesus Christ, we dare not begin to falter on this point church of Jesus Christ, in this tragic, fearful, and dangerous age of doctrinal chaos worldwide, in which a virtual army, a virtual army of unregenerate liberal theologians worldwide have joined the ranks, have openly joined the ranks of the godless, haters of God, and especially of God's word, in unprecedented, unprecedented, undermining, refuting, discrediting, perverting, and angrily rejecting a staggering amount of the vital truths and clear teachings of the sacred book.

Beloved, I believe the time has come in church history, in our church history, when we need, we need to shout from the top of every steeple and every church building, let alone from every pulpit in every church building across the world, that we believe, we believe and remain unmovable on this point, that all scripture, all scripture is given by inspiration of God, all scripture is given by inspiration of God, from Genesis 1 verse 1 to Revelation 22 verse 21, every verse without exception.

The Old and New Testaments United by Messianic Prophecy

Now, these 39 separate, yet essentially linked, divinely inspired books of the Old Testament are critically linked, are critically linked to the 27 separate, yet essentially linked, divinely inspired books of the New Testament.

The 30, the 39 books of the Old Testament are critically linked to the 27 books of the New Testament, primarily, primarily through the Messianic prophecies, primarily through the Messianic prophecies which are strewn across the pages of the Old Testament, which were fulfilled in and through the life and death of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Which was witnessed, which was witnessed by His disciples and graphically recorded, graphically recorded in the New Testament. But, the over 300 Messianic prophecies of the Old Testament, the over 300 Messianic prophecies of the Old Testament were initially held out to the Jew, initially held out to the Jew to give them hope and anticipation, hope and anticipation of a coming Messiah or Saviour of Israel.

But also, that they would recognize Him, also that they would recognize Him when He came. One of the most staggering and incomprehensible events in history, one of the most staggering and incomprehensible events in history, is that the Jew who were entrusted with the Scriptures and the Messianic prophecies did not recognize Him, did not recognize Him when He came, but rejected Him.

They rejected Him as being God's promised Messiah, not only then, at that time, but down through the ages to this present day, en masse, in Matthew 22, in Matthew 22 verse 29, Christ rebuked, Christ rebuked the revered but greatly feared religious leaders of Israel at that time, saying, Ye do err not knowing the Scriptures.

You are wrong not knowing the Scriptures. Search the Scriptures. John 5 verse 39,. For in them, in them ye think ye have eternal life, and they are they which testify of Me. They are they which testify of Me.

Moses wrote of Me. Moses wrote of Me. Verse 46, in Luke 24, after His death and resurrection, Christ appeared to two of His distraught disciples on the road to Emmaus, while they communed together and reasoned.

Verse 15 says, Concerning His unjust, cruel crucifixion, while they, together with multitudes of others across Israel, had hoped that this was the promised Messiah. Verse 25,. And He said unto them, O fool, and slow of heart to believe, all the prophets have spoken.

Ought not Christ to have suffered these things? And beginning at Moses, that is the first five books of the Bible which are written by Moses, beginning at Moses and all the prophets, He expounded unto them, in all the Scriptures, the things concerning Himself.

He then appeared to the rest of the apostles, in Luke 24 verse 44,. And He said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you. These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you.

That all things must be fulfilled. All things must be fulfilled which are written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the Psalms concerning Me. Then opened He their understanding, that they, that they might understand the Scriptures.

And He said unto them, Thus it is written, thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer. Thus it is written, and therefore it was essential for Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead.

To rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses, ye are witnesses of these things.

And behold, I send the promise of My Father, I send the promise of My Father upon you. Referring here to John 2 verse 28, I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh, I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh.

John 14 verse 26, The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, the Comforter, great Paraclete, meaning the Helper, the Helper, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance.

Whatever I have said unto you are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled. All things must be fulfilled which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the Psalms concerning Me.

And beginning at Moses, and all the prophets expounded unto them, in all the scriptures, the things concerning Himself. Beginning at Moses, in Genesis 3 verse 15, we read that the Lord said unto the serpent, the Lord said unto the serpent, that old serpent, which is the devil, and Satan.

Revelation 20 verse 2 says, The Lord said unto the serpent, I will put enmity between thee and a woman, and between thy seed and her seed, it shall bruise thy head. He will crush thy head, Satan. Two thousand years later, when the fullness of the time was come, Galatians 4 verse 4 says, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made of a woman, for this purpose, for this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

That He might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3 verse 8, that through death, through death He might destroy him. Through death He might destroy him, that had the power of death, that is the devil.

Hebrews 2 verse 14, Daniel 9 verse 26,. The Messiah shall be cut off. That is, you face the death penalty. He was cut off out of the land of the living. Isaiah 53 verse 8,. He was cut off out of the land of the living.

The Messiah shall be cut off, but, but not for Himself. Not for Himself, Daniel wrote. He was wounded. He was bruised. This assignment of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we are healed. But all we, like sheep, have gone astray.

We have turned every one to his own way. And the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. The Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. Hebrews 2 verse 10,. When thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin.

Leviticus 19 verse 5,. If ye offer a sacrifice, if ye offer a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the Lord, ye shall offer it at your own will. Ye shall offer it at your own will. Ye shall offer it at your own voluntary will.

Leviticus 1 verse 2 says,. But, and here is the free will of man, but when shalt ye make His soul, ye shall see His seed. Verse 11,. He shall see, He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied.

By His knowledge shall My righteous servant justify many, for He shall bear their iniquity. By His knowledge shall My righteous servant justify many, being now justified by His blood. Being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

Romans 5 verse 9 says,. To him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted to him for righteousness. Romans 4 verse 5,. Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 5 verse 1,. For by grace are ye saved, by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works. Ephesians 2 verse 8 says,. To him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted to him for righteousness.

Not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God, by faith,. Philippians 3 verse 9,. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

2 Corinthians 5 verse 21. The Law Reveals Sin and the Need for Grace

In Romans 7 verse 7 Paul asks, what shall we say then, is the law sin? God forbid, nay, I had not known sin but by the law, for I had not known lust, except the law had said thou shalt not covet. For where no law is, there is no transgression.

Romans 4 verse 15, where no law is, there is no transgression. And yes, the Holy Spirit when he has come, he will reprove, that is convict and convince the world of sin. He will convict and convince the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment.

Romans 16 verse 8 says, but he uses the law to do that. For it is through the law, it is through the law that the scripture hath concluded all under sin. It is through the law that the scripture hath concluded all under sin.

Galatians 3 verse 22, if we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar and his word is not in us. 1 John 1 verse 10, for God hath said, God hath said there is none righteous, no, not.

Romans 3 verse 10, he that covereth his sins shall not prosper, but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Proverbs 28 verse 13, but the great question here tonight, the great question here tonight is, has the Holy Spirit reproved, that is convicted and convinced you that you are a hell bound, hell deserving sinner?

And if so, when did you come to God desperately seeking him to be saved by grace through faith in him, through faith in the death of Christ? When did you make his soul an offering for sin? When did you come to God with the one thing, nothing in my hands I bring, simply to the cross I cling until that moment God won't look at anything you do or pray or say.

Salvation by Faith in Christ's Finished Work

When did you come to God that he could save you? The only way he stipulated and will never bypass any other way to anyone on earth in history or any other religion. Come God's way, now at this point of my sermon, at this point of my sermon, I want us to have a brief review, a brief review of all the vital points we have considered here tonight.

The scripture has concluded all under sin. All have sinned. Romans 3 verse 23 says. And finally, God now commandeth all men everywhere to repent. Acts 17 verse 30. God now commandeth all men everywhere to repent.

Repentance and the Preaching of Forgiveness to All Nations

That repentance and remission of sins in that order. Always forgiveness after repentance. That repentance and remission of sins should be preached among all nations. Should be preached in his name among all nations.

This is the first message, the first convention, the first day online convention in the place of our normal tour of America. To still have the right to minister and the privilege of ministering to all the dear friends across that lovely land in Canada.
