Hello, welcome back to Daily Bites, God's Word. This is Andy Cain, and it is a joy to be back with you once again.
Today we're looking at Psalm 119, verse 46. It says, I will also speak of your testimonies before kings, and I shall not be ashamed.
This whole understanding comes after he talked about, May the love and kindness also come to me, your salvation.
He talks about, I'm going to have an answer for anyone who reproaches me. I trust in your word. These same themes being repeated here.
He keeps the law continually, walks in that wide, safe place, so much so that he knows that anybody he were to stand in front of, anybody he would have to give an answer to, he's not going to have to fear them.
He's not going to have to fear about what to say. He's going to know what to say. He says, I will speak of your testimonies before kings, and I shall not be ashamed.
If we are walking rightly, if we are in the word of God, we can know that whatever we face, whoever we have to answer to, we can speak of who
God is, what he has done, what he's done in creation, what he's done in our life, what he's doing in this world, what he is doing in his kingdom.
And we can do it before kings, princes, local governments, whatever it is, and we won't be ashamed to do so.
We can do it proudly and boldly. Obviously not sinfully, not arrogantly, but boldly and with confidence.
And because our confidence is not in ourselves, it's in the king, the true king, that we are proclaiming and talking about.
So have you ever been in a position where you've had to speak up for God or speak up for something about God, about who
God is, or maybe something he's done in your life? Have you ever had that fear that comes with it? I know what it's like.
It can be tough to overcome sometimes, but I encourage you to do so. I encourage you to understand that when the time comes, the good
Lord will give you the courage through the indwelling presence of the Spirit. Amen? Well, I want to thank you for joining me on this
