On this third day of November, 4 to 6 p .m., today is our program, and 2025 is the year I forgot to mention. And today, we're going to be addressing this question, and that will be among other questions.

Patti Height’s Testimony and Ministry of Hope for Freedom

Does true love to those enslaved by homosexuality ever refrain from the call to repentance? And to answer that question, among others, will be a returning guest on Iron Sharpens Iron Radio, Patti Height, a woman rescued by her loving, gracious, and merciful Lord Jesus Christ out of the bondages of gender confusion and lesbianism, who now boldly proclaims the gospel to all who will listen.

It's so great to be here again, Chris, and good to see you and hear from you.

Yeah, I'm amazed that the last time you were on was already over two years ago.

Wow.

It was September 12, 2023. If anybody, after this live show is over, wants to hear more in-depth information about Patti's conversion to Christ, which miraculously occurred simultaneously with her former girlfriend, with whom she was living at the time in a lesbian relationship.

But, Patti, how long have you been a Christian and out of the sinful life of living as a lesbian?

A little over 22 years now, but, well, almost 23 years. It'll be 23 years in January, and it just feels like 23 minutes, because when you are growing and knowing in the Lord and serving Him, the days really just fly by.

It's so beautiful. I never could have imagined the life that I have in Christ now. It's the most beautiful. If there's anyone that's listening that doesn't have a life in Christ, man, I'm telling you, you are missing out.

It's not just heaven that you're missing out on eternally. It's a beautiful life right now. Don't let another day go by without giving your life to Christ. He loves you.

Amen. And when you do these speaking engagements, like the one scheduled on December 5th in Raleway, New Jersey at Oasis Christian Center, is it typically that you are giving your testimony, because very often you're going to be speaking there at a particular place for the first time?

Is that what you normally do, or is it more in-depth than that?

It generally starts with my testimony, especially if I've not been to the church or the college, wherever it is. I speak at multiple types of places, mostly churches, though. But yeah, I always start with my testimony, because it's just so powerful.

It's just so amazing. But also, it gives people hope. You know, if they themselves have any type of sexual identity that's outside of what the Lord calls us to, or if they have children or family members that identify as gay or trans, it just really gives hope that there is a place, a time of redemption.

God calls us His own. Every day is fashioned for us, when as yet there were none of them, and God knew before the foundation of time that we would be His. So it gives people hope. But what I'm doing this coming December 5th at the Raleway Oasis, they're doing a series called Our Identity as Women, and that series started in October.

So I'm going to share my testimony. Then I'll talk about hope for freedom for those who struggle, and then probably do like a time of Q &A, which I love the Q &A sessions, because then I get to hear up the heart of the people there and what they're going through and watch God answer in miraculous ways.

Amen. Well, I will be praying that the Lord bears much fruit from that meeting and that there are souls that come to Christ and that there are lives that are transformed out of darkness, out of the wicked lifestyles of homosexuality, and that the next time you come back on, you might have some wonderful praise reports about that.

True Love, Repentance, and Speaking Grace and Truth

I opened up with a question because of the fact that it has been disturbing to me, and knowing of your vehement opposition to what has become known as Side B Christianity, which is a plague that has attacked and infiltrated evangelical churches, professedly evangelical churches, even those with conservative backgrounds, whereby they are teaching that there is only sin involved in homosexuality when you act upon it, either physically or involving lust.

And they would say that same-sex attraction is not lust. As you may recall, I even arranged a debate between my longtime dear friend, Dr. James R. White of Alpha Omega Ministries, who debated Dr. Gregory Coles, who professes to be an evangelical Christian and also professes to be a gay Christian and believes that that is a thing that you can be.

And not only did he boldly declare that he is a gay celibate Christian, but he believes that his gayness is a gift from God, because he believes there are certain elements of being a homosexual or gay that have benefited his life.

I remember one of the areas he said his life was benefited is because he said that the imagery of sexually provocative women has so dominated life in everywhere we look that he does not have to combat with the lust that would follow with that.

And to me, that was a very absurd comment, because I think there's just as much imagery of half-naked men in the media and everywhere, so I'm not even sure what he's talking about. But the question that I posed in the beginning of the program—because, believe it or not, there are people who have different answers on this, and that would include Gregory Coles—the question was, does true love to those enslaved by homosexuality ever refrain from the call to repentance?

And if you could answer that question yourself and give further commentary.

So, does true love in a gay relationship ever refrain from a call to repentance? So are you saying, is there a need to repent? Is that what you mean, ultimately?

Yes. And the way I phrased it was, does true love to those enslaved by homosexuality ever refrain from the call to repentance? In other words, there are people who think that that is cruel to demand of or to tell people that God demands of them to repent, that they cannot please God by continuing to live in that manner and to identify themselves in that manner of being a gay Christian or just to even be full-blown homosexual, like Gregory Coles would say on the opposite side, that the only thing that he would ever need to repent of is physical activity in homosexuality and lust, and he has not yet, he says—and, of course, this was two years ago, so I don't know what's happened since then—but he says that he's never had sexual relations, he's only attracted to men, but he doesn't feel that he needs to repent of anything because, as I said before, he even claims that being gay is a blessing.

So what would be your answer as far as, is it loving, in other words, for a Christian not to tell homosexuals to repent?

No, I don't think it's loving at all to not tell someone that needs to repent over something to not repent. We are called, as John 1, verse 14 says, Jesus was filled with both grace and truth, and as his disciples, we are called to walk out and walk in our image-bearer, and if he is filled with grace and truth, then we're called to be filled with grace and truth, and not grace needing truth halfway.

It's filled with grace and filled with truth, and there's different ways of people saying this, but you can speak truth to someone without grace, and it can be harsh. But if you speak grace to someone without truth, it can be deadly, and I say deadly because someone will still be dead in their sins, and I don't find that to be very loving.

It says in 1 Corinthians chapter 13, what we would call the love chapter, you know, love is patient, love is kind, love does not envy, and it says in verse 6, love does not rejoice in iniquity, but it rejoices in the truth, and it rejoices in the truth, Chris, because it's the truth that sets us free.

It's God's loving kindness that leads us to repentance and his truth that sets us free, and so I think we have understandably, you know, at times are so concerned with people's feelings, and we should be concerned with people's feelings.

Emotions are real. God has given us emotions. God's given us feelings, and we do want to meet people where they are graciously so they will give us an ear to hear the truth, but when we want to, are so concerned about their feelings that we're affirming them in something that God says is not only ungodly, but it's unnatural, then we're actually not loving them.

We're actually damning them, and that's not, should not ever be the heart of a Christian. There's so much when it comes to LGBT stuff, those who either identify as gay, those who are side A, which side A would be people who say they're Christians and also identify as gay, but they act out their homosexual desires, and side B, who is like Gregory Coles, like you explained, it always comes back to feelings.

Whenever there's a conversation or a panel or a debate, those who identify as gay in one way or another, and a Christian, always circle back to, but how could God call me to be alone? Why would God do this to me?

What about my feelings? Then they misinterpret the Bible saying God says it's not good for man to be alone, all this stuff, and it just boils down to, I'm afraid to be alone. It's not even necessarily, at least for side B, the sexual attractions or the sexual desires, like I'm just frothing at the mouth to want to have sex the way I want to.

It's not that. It's the relational aspect, the I don't want to be alone, and it's very hard. It can be very lonely to be alone, but that's not something that's exclusive to those who have same-sex attraction.

There's a lot of people who are Christians that have a desire to be in a relationship or to be married the way God calls marriage to be, and they've not had that experience. Does that mean they get to go out and engage in porn or sex outside of marriage because they're lonely and that's what they want to fulfill their feelings?

We have to lay down the fact that we're not always going to have our feelings fulfilled. Our fulfillment is in Christ Jesus, and that's where our joy comes from. We don't get joy from our feelings. We can get happy, but we don't get joy from our feelings.

And so we as Christians should be mindful to not be overly concerned with someone's feeling to the fact that we're encouraging them to stay in their sin. That was a very long answer, sorry.

Yes, and I think very often, even if it's unconscious, that fear of how it's going to affect a person's feelings—and this is not just homosexuals, this is anyone whom we are evangelizing and telling, you are a sinner just as I am a sinner, but thanks be to God, I have found the remedy.

I have found Jesus Christ, and I want you to embrace that remedy too. I want you to experience and receive the gift of eternal life. I love you. I care about you. And to tell people that they are not right with God and that they need to repent and embrace Christ or face an eternity of damnation, that is something that we are commanded to do, but it's also a risky thing to do, and we may lose friendships, we may lose employment.

In this day and age, if we tell a colleague at work this, especially if they're homosexual or living actively as a homosexual, if we were to tell them that at a lunch break or during just our own personal time, during breaks at work or afterwards, if we have a conversation with somebody who identifies themselves as homosexual and we tell them that they need to repent, there are many places today that would fire you on the spot for such a thing.

So I think that many times when people withdraw from that kind of truthful confrontation, it's out of fear of how it's going to affect them, and not necessarily the person that they're evangelizing.

Yeah, and I get that it's scary to be concerned with losing your job, but when it comes to that, that's putting self above them, and that's the opposite of what the Lord calls us to do. We're called to lay down our lives for others, even if it costs us employment or retirement.

But the Lord has our back, and he honors that. In 1 Peter 3, starting in verse 13, it says,. And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed.

And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled. But sanctify the Lord God in your heart, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you. With meekness and fear, having a good conscience that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.

For it's better if it is the will of God to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. And so we always have to come back to God's word to lead us and guide us and to give us hope and confidence that we can trust the Lord with every aspect of our life.

And we're called to go out and evangelize and to make disciples. And so we're not called—tell me if this is how you feel, Chris—we're not called to get saved and then just go to church. And live a happy, easy life at church.

God calls us to hard things. He tells us in Philippians that not only do we get to believe, but it's been granted to us to suffer for Christ's sake. And, you know, we've had it quite easy in the United States for a number of years, just going to church on Sunday and then going home and having your family dinner and then starting your work week again on Monday.

And maybe just maybe mentioning, you know, the Lord at work. And I hope those days are coming to a close and we really pull up our big girl pants and our big boy pants and really start telling a very lost and dying world about who Jesus is, because I do believe He's coming back soon and very soon, Chris.

And Jesus was a friend of sinners. He was separate from sinners simultaneously in that He did not behave the way sinners behave. He did not sin Himself, but He was a friend to sinners, still is a friend to sinners.

And we must always remember that. It seems as if very often we ourselves, when we are confronted with a person who we may view as being far more horrifying in the eyes of God because of how they live, we forget that we were lost at one point and we needed to be rescued ourselves.

And when we evangelize people, we cannot and must never give the impression that we are telling the lost, I am better than you. Be like me. No, that's not the gospel message. The gospel message is, I'm a sinner just like you.

And the only way to escape this condition is to trust in the only man who was never a sinner, who was truly God and truly man, Jesus Christ, who was born of a virgin, who lived a perfect life of obedience, something that we can never do, who died on the cross as a substitute for sinners, and took upon Himself the wrath of His Father, and rose again on the third day and ascended into heaven.

That is our only hope, and He is our only hope, because if we want to be right with God, we have to trust in the substitute that God has sent. And so we can never come across in arrogance when we are seeking to evangelize.

Amen. You are freezing a little bit on your frame, so if I don't answer, if you ask a question and I don't answer, you're freezing now and then. But yes, I agree. It makes me think, if I may share some more Scripture.

It's Ephesians chapter 2, starting in verse 1. And you He made alive who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked, according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience.

And in verse 3, verse 3 packs a punch, but verse 4 is beautiful. Verse 3 says,. Among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

And then the beauty of verse 4, but God, who is rich in mercy because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ. By grace, you have been saved.

Hallelujah.

Sorry. No, no. We all come from the same. We all come from unbelief. We all have the same sin of unbelief, and we come to Christ through believing in the work He did on the cross.

Out of Egypt Ministries and Reaching Churches, Youth, and Schools

Yes. Out of Egypt Ministries is a ministry the Lord called me to about 13 years ago to go out and minister to the churches to give them a better understanding of what homosexuality is, where these attractions might come from, how we are to minister to people that are in the midst of that that don't want Christ, how we are to minister to people that are in the midst of that that do want Christ, how we are to raise up our children to understand that there might be sexual questions or gender confusion that they see at school or even that they experience themselves, but how to bring these attractions before the Lord, how to talk to their parents about it, or, well, I would say school teachers, but that's not a very trustworthy place anymore to talk to to get good counsel.

I share at youth events. I share in Christian colleges. I've shared on university campuses, University of Tennessee, University of South Carolina. I've been in public high schools in Chicago. So youth camps, so various places to speak and to encourage the church on all things LGBT so that they can go out and minister to the people in their church and their community.

And as I was saying moments ago, we have a listener, Belinda, and she is in Little Egg Harbor Township in New Jersey.

And Belinda says, from what you have witnessed from the days that you were living as a lesbian, is there any significant difference in how those involved in that sin are manifesting that sin publicly and any difference in how the public at large is reacting to and responding to it?

Yes. Thank you, Belinda, for your question. Yes, back when I lived that life or even before I came out and started identifying that way, I came out in the 1990s. And so back then, mostly people that were it was mostly even though the acronym was still LGBT, it was mostly LGBT people.

The T was a very small group of people, generally middle-aged white men that were transsexuals or they were, you know, married with children and they would sneak out to, you know, certain bars dressed up as women and presenting themselves as women.

And it wasn't what we see now for this trans mania that we have. So but back in my day, we'll say it was mostly lesbian and gay and bisexual people. And truly, many of them just wanted to live a life as what would be called normal as possible.

They wanted to be able to have relationships with each other that they could be on people's, you know, on their partner's health insurance. They could live in a neighborhood or a community where they weren't being, you know, ridiculed or beat up.

They wanted just to have jobs in the community and not be fired simply for being gay. And so what would what to narrow it down simply, it would be most of them just wanted to have equal rights and live a simple life.

Those that were in relationships. I'm not talking about the ones that were just out partying every night or every weekend, just having random sex. That was my situation. My girlfriend and I, you know, both worked for a major airline.

We owned a home together. We lived in a great neighborhood. So we had, you know, what would be considered a great life. And when you hear people saying that they wanted, you know, gay rights, that's kind of what they meant when they said that.

Now, especially with this, the T, the transgender being added on to this acronym, along with all the other letters that are being added on, it has become, wow. It's become like a social craze, especially now, since there's literally children being involved.

There's, you know, middle school children identifying as trans, whatever, or, you know. Just their, their pansexual, transsexual, asexual, all these, all these identities that they have no clue, really, even what they're saying.

But because they've been on social media, there has been this exponential rise in those who identify as LGBT. So the iPhone came out in 2007. And since 2007, there's been a 5 ,000 increase in those who identify as LGBT that are tween and teen.

And predominantly, it's the T, the transgender. And then within that, it's mostly young girls. And we attribute this to the social media craze, the iPhone, the TikTok, the Instagram, Snapchat, all the other ones, and new ones that I probably don't even know about.

And then when marriage became legalized and we allowed that in our country, I don't know how to word it except, and this isn't, you know, there's not a verse that I can think of to say this, but I can't see God not taking some of his hand of protection off of this country when we allowed same-sex marriage in 2015.

And that's when I saw a major, major shift in people and their ideology. People that didn't identify as gay or lesbian or trans now fighting and in essence marching through the streets for gay and trans rights.

And it's become almost obsessive for people who've never had the same-sex attraction or gender confusion. They're almost at a place of obsessiveness with the way they want to affirm all things LGBT. So it's become very, very different than what it was back in the 90s and early 2000s.

Why People Become Homosexual or Transgender

And we have Paul in Carbondale, Pennsylvania. Paul says, I have very recently heard reports on Fox News and perhaps some other places that there has been a radical decline in the number of young people who have identified themselves as transgender.

Do you agree with this? I don't know how they came up with this information. What kind of polls or research was done? But do you think this is accurate?

Yes, Paul, I've seen those news clips, but I've not dug into the studies myself. But from what I see with the amount of younger people de-transitioning, I believe the numbers are coming down. But again, I have no report to give you to tell you to go and look up.

However, there are a lot of young people that are in their 20s now that transitioned as teenagers, even as young as 13 years old, getting double mastectomies, that are now suing, getting lawyers and suing the doctors and the hospitals that performed this massacre on their bodies.

And they're being more vocal again, social media, I guess, being used in a more helpful way. And their voices are getting out there. So these young people that are on social media are looking at the de-transitioners and saying, wait a minute, maybe I don't want to go through all that.

Maybe I don't want to reach my 20s and wonder where my breasts are or why I'm a woman who's always going to have a deep voice now because I injected myself with testosterone for seven years. And so there definitely is a decline in that.

But also, I believe God is doing something beautifully radical with an awakening, at least in the United States. I don't know what's happening in other countries, but I believe there's an awakening that's leading to a revival in this country.

And I believe a lot of young people are turning to the Lord instead of turning to sexuality. I believe they desperately want truth because they are a generation who grew up with the iPhone. And so they realize how much they've been lied to.

They realize the damage that social media has done to them. They know even more about the deception that all this A .I. stuff is bringing. And they're tired of being lied to. They're tired of the deception.
