Hello and welcome back to Daily Bites, God's Word. This is Andy Kane. It's a joy to be back with you once again.
Today we're looking at Psalm 119, verse 30. It says, I have chosen the faithful way.
I have placed your judgments before me. Another way you could say this phrase here where it says, I have placed your judgments before me, is to say,
I've accounted your ordinances as worthy. Whenever you think about whatever you place in front of you, you think very much about how we sit and watch
TV, which there's nothing wrong with. I enjoy TV. I enjoy watching sports. But by putting that TV in front of us and what we watch on it, we're saying it's worthy of being in front of us.
It's something I want to watch. It's something that I count worthy of giving my time to. Well, that's what's being said here.
If you've placed the judgments of God before you, if you've placed the Word of God before you where you can see it and you can know it and learn it, you are saying that you have deemed it worthy of that place and it's a place of honor that you're giving it.
And so we've chosen the faithful way. And by choosing the faithful way, by choosing to be faithful to God and to his
Word, it is because we are placing his Word before us. And in so doing, we live in a faithful way.
We can live in a righteous way. And part of us living faithful and righteous lives is by giving the
Word of God its proper place, its proper place in our hearts, its proper place in our lives, its proper place in our local church, its proper place in how we make our decisions and what we choose to do and what we choose not to do.
So I encourage you to choose the faithful way. Show that the Word of God is worthy and show that it means something to you by placing it in front of you daily in all that you think about and all that you do.
