And the Bible says this, to the one who works, you're working for salvation, you're trying to earn it, you're trying to obey his laws, you're trying to use his laws to get right with God.

He says, to the one who works, his wage, what he earns for that, is not credited as grace, but as what is due.

In other words, if you work for something, for two weeks you get a job, you've done this, you've got a job, you work, in two weeks you don't get a gift, you get a paycheck.

And Paul says this, if you're working for salvation, if you're trying to earn it through obedience to his laws, and trying to do this and that, he says that what you get for working for something is a wage, but salvation is a gift.

You can't earn a gift. So he says this, here's the contrast, here's how you're saved. But to the one who does not work, but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, see, that's our position, we're ungodly, believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness, your and my only hope, and the good news, is that through faith in Christ and what he's done for you, and his payment for your sins, and his righteous perfect life applied to you, through faith in him, you are saved.

The problem is, is that outside of Christ, you're dead, spiritually. And Jesus says that through faith in him, you have eternal life, you've gone from death to life, and that you're no longer condemned ever again, ever for your sins.

And Paul said, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Because it's all grace, through faith in Christ.

And in Nephi 25 -23, 2nd Nephi 25 -23, Book of Mormon, it says, we know that by grace we are saved, after all we can do.

But the parallel in scripture that you can show to that, is the Bible says, by grace are you saved through faith, and not of yourselves.

Mormonism teaches it's grace, sure, you need God's grace because we're sinners, but it's also what you do.
