Abortion in Politics and the Public Sphere

All right, so this is a continuation of Part three. Where we were still talking about? Abortion in politics and in the public sphere and I want to just a few things to cover first. We have a I ordered some new booklets on abortion from Chapel library over there on the table.

You can take some copies of that as well. There's two of them. One is on the free grace broadcaster issue of abortion. The other one is by Joe Beeky. Yeah, the other one is by Joe Beeky on abortion as well.

They cover some of the biblical aspects of abortion and they kind of complement nicely the Mark Crutcher's book on line five. So feel free to take your copies of the book or of those booklets and to help you to deep dive deeper into this topic and.

I.

Wanted to make an important announcement as well as a call to action because with the recent overturn of Roe v. Wade Abortion activists are trying to pass the city ordinance to turn El Paso into an abortion Sanctuary by ignoring state law and you can read the full agenda item number three online.

Where it intends to create an ordinance? To direct city officials not to report or investigate reports of abortion and that police should make investigating abortion their lowest priority. So we ask that you all As many as are able to please take a stand against us by showing up on Tuesday, July 5th at 9 a .m at El Paso City Hall at 300 North Campbell Street and Another important note is that we need to make sure that we understand the distinction between City Council And the mayor there's ten members of City Council, and there's a mayor Oscar Leaser before this Issue on Tuesday.

It's not the same thing as the county courthouse with the commissioners and Judge the county judge Samaniego. So there's two different levels of government there and we we have been protesting at the county courthouse not the City Council but Others have been protesting at City Council as well because of the Women's Commission that they were pushing at both levels both the city Level and the county level and so this is before City Council.

So we ask that get that you spread the word but also Speak up so you can register online to speak if you can't attend a person you can you can do it in person or by phone or virtually over zoom and You there's instructions on the text that that Tim sent out.

Just sign up for the regular City Council on July 5th and that you want to speak on agenda item number three. So just to give a brief recap of how we've what we've covered so far and the first part of this series Was mainly dealing with the issue of what does God say about abortion and about the unborn?

God very clearly condemns abortion Through the whole Council of God and what it has to say about it and it God clearly also values the unborn as precious in his eyes and Just as much as he does those who are born so we covered a lot of the scriptural grounds for why abortion is evil why it's sin why it's murder and why it's rightfully condemned and Section two we covered the spiritual reality and spiritual warfare of abortion the fact that there are demonic spirits at play here.

Regarding this very issue and it's something that we as believers need to be aware of and to equip ourselves especially with the full armor of God that Ephesians 6 talks about to equip ourselves with you know, the belt of truth the helmet of salvation the shield of faith the The sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God so we need to counter this demonic force with the full armor of God and just as a I Think it's rather fitting here.

It's interesting that there was a the local paper just last week. They had a front page news article on Texas clinics stop aborting stop providing abortions after ruling. I'm going to read a quote from this that's relevant to this topic to this section and So this this fight is Definitely not over yet.

It's about to get a lot more intense if anything and I wanted to make a clarification about or a correction about what I mentioned regarding genderless demons last time. I didn't quite intend it intend to say that.

There there is such a thing as spirits being masculine or feminine. They don't they so like the angels in the Bible are all clearly masculine you have Michael like Gabriel things like that and there are also Demonic spirits that can be either masculine or feminine such as Lilith or Molech or or the devil Things like that.

So it's they they can't be masculine or feminine. They can have those qualities Based on what scripture says about them so you can that that was just a clarification there and Another thing I wanted to also Emphasize this is really important to emphasize when we're doing this kind of ministry or work with respect to abortion is that There's a lot of evil behind abortion at every level.

But of course God is gracious. He he gives us hope mercy forgiveness grace and love through the gospel of Jesus Christ right, so he obviously Has the power through his son who lived a perfect life and died on the cross to satisfy the wrath of God and to pay the punishment for that sin including the sin of abortion and of murder and The reality is that the sin of hatred makes us all guilty of murder, you know, so nobody's really exempt from The the charge against murder all of us have hated have hated are guilty of hatred and therefore murdering at heart like Jesus said so we have to remember to be Sympathetic and offer The gospel and forgiveness to those who have had abortion or who have paid for an abortion supported abortion things things of that sort.

And.

I want to kind of Explain a little bit more or make it a little bit more clear what the driving conviction for this sermon series is and Really? This is meant to be. This is meant to equip us for doing for Confronting the enemy and for doing ministry with respect to abortion because this is it's kind of like a blueprint for spiritual warfare and for Fighting against The devil and his minions with respect to this very pernicious sin that has been plaguing our nation for the past 50 years and And 2nd Corinthians to let 2nd Corinthians 2 10 through 11 also says.

Anyone whom you forgive I also forgive indeed what I have forgiven if I have forgiven anything Has been for your sake in the presence of Christ Christ. So that we would not be outwitted by Satan for we are not ignorant of his designs.

So the Bible Repeatedly tells us not to be ignorant. I would not have you ignorant brethren and not to be ignorant Specifically of the devil's agenda and designs and that is why we we we need to be aware of how the enemy is operating With respect to this issue.

That's why I tried to cover The issue of Molech and Lilith and all of those things because I want us to be to we need to get to know our Enemy right and be able to address those The enemy on biblical grounds so we definitely want to we we don't want to dance with the devil not give the devil an inch and Like Ephesians 4 27 says to give no opportunity to the devil and in order to do that we must know where he is and what he's doing and how he's operating what his agenda is and One of the ways that this can help us Especially with what we try to promote or advocate is to play devil's advocate to test our position and so This is a this is important here.

Oh, so I'm gonna go ahead and read the article that I saw that just this past week on the local paper. It's an article from the Texas Tribune. Which says this abortion funds to have paused operations amid the threat of legal action in Texas.

The Lilith fund for reproductive equity an Abortion fund that provides financial assistance to people seeking abortions and the Texas equal access fund both said that they have stopped funding abortions in Texas Due to the state's pre-roll status so You see right here in our local paper talking about the Lilith fund.

You know, it's it's in our own backyard. This stuff is very real and it's very much a part of our society and the feminist Agenda the devil's agenda Antichrist agenda to kill steal and destroy so We need to and it's not just in our own backyard.

Obviously a abortion Texas has banned abortion to a certain extent but now everybody's coming to New Mexico now with.

The.

Mississippi abortion mill called the pink house. They're moving because Mississippi banned abortions. So now they're coming to Las Cruces. So we've got a big Battlefront right here in our next-door neighbor with New Mexico and you have the abortion mill in Santa Teresa as well.

Which is right right around the corner over here. So there's still plenty of work to be done Against this issue against this sin. So the fight against abortion is definitely not over yet, it's it's like I said I think it's good.

I think it's gonna get a lot more intense a lot more polarizing. And we just want to be prepared for that. We must apply the Word of God the Word of God to all of our faith and life including abortion in the public sphere.

Christians nowadays tend to be very confused about what to believe and what to do about abortion because many pastors don't preach about it they don't talk about it. They don't discuss it and because of derelict shepherds and hirelings who don't do their God-ordained duty to equip the church with So that they would not be outwitted by Satan so now if we turn to John chapter 9 John chapter 9 verses 39 through 41 We're gonna cover some very important passages about what Jesus had to say.

That touches on a lot of these issues and John chapter 9 39 through 41 Here Jesus said for judgment I came into this world that those who do not see may see and those who see may become blind. Some of the Pharisees near him heard these things and said to him are we also blind?

Jesus said to them if you were blind you would have no guilt. But now that you say we see your guilt remains. This I think brings an important point about that. I wanted to reinforce from last week about women bearing the guilt When they decide to kill their baby Jesus it's similar to what Jesus is telling the Pharisees here that because you claim to see your guilt remains and when women claim to have Choice and their right to choose to kill their baby.

They bear responsibility and Jesus Will hold them accountable as guilty because they are demanding that right and You know, I don't think I mentioned this before but I I'm not I'm not unscathed from this issue by any means.

When I was younger and I found out that my sister was pregnant when she told me I think she was roughly about three months pregnant and I was furious I was so mad and so furious that I had actually encouraged her to get an abortion at the time and so I'm not guiltless by any means in this but I Want us to just we really need to understand and know what the word says because truth is what sets you free the only thing that can set us free is the truth and the gospel.

You know and in my shame and in my my wickedness that I It's to my shame that I that I encouraged her to do that. Thankfully she didn't and Her son now he became the life of the party he became a tremendous blessing to our family and It was it was a tremendous blessing to to grow up to watch him grow up and to He's like a teenager now, so The the baby is is typically treated as a curse or a ball and chain by the pro-choice side an Inconvenience to get rid of all of these things.

But the reality is that the the children even if it's the product of a rape are very often what redeems the situation out of that wickedness is that the baby is A blessing that can unite and bring together and and to bless the family.

Tremendously because that's how God works is through the family and So now if we turn to first Timothy chapter 2 verses 14 through 15 the first Timothy chapter 2 verses 14 through 15 this talks about a very important aspect with respect to abortion and women first Timothy chapter 2 verses 14 through 15.

It says an Adam was not deceived but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. Yes, she will be saved through childbearing if they continue in faith and love and holiness with self-control. So that you'll notice here even though Eve was deceived.

She still became a transgressor. In spite of being deceived she was still a transgressor. That's an important to keep in mind with respect to this issue. You know because women can still be deceived through but you know Planned Parenthood and all of these things, but it doesn't necessarily spare you from becoming a transgressor and Notice as again that it says she will be saved through childbearing.

If they continue in faith and love and holiness with self-control. So saved through childbearing and yet what is the very goal of abortion? It's to end childbearing. It's to kill the child and not raise the child not bear the child so.

This is it's incredible how God's Word condemns abortion on so many different levels. You just have to know what to look for. You have to study the scriptures diligently and it jumps right in your face.

It tells you very clearly That the woman is safe to childbearing. Childbearing is a good thing. It's a blessing so. And again, just as Eve was deceived women like I mentioned can be deceived that can be forced Into having an abortion that can be threatened by by the by the man their abuser so even though in cases where women Willingly went to get an abortion Would still be guilty but but we have to remember that it's not that simple or black and white with respect to certain issues like the age of the girl the wage of the women if we're talking about a very young woman like 12 13 years old and if there were if she was being forced somehow to have an abortion by her abuser her rapist being threatened or Under compulsion of some kind we need to we I think the law needs to take that into consideration because if it was against her will then She's not necessarily to blame.

It's the abuser. That's to blame for that abortion. So we do have to have a balance justice scales just scales like the Bible says and in executing justice with situations like this because they can be a little bit more complex and There are several cases numerous cases and Mark Crutcher talks about this in his book in line 5.

Where men have beat women to death or almost to death? Because they refuse to have an abortion so we have to be aware of these things because they happen very often in fact and. So now with respect to the the continuing Discussion about Roe v. Wade and the political sphere.

And.

How how we as Christians are called to respond to this to this issue both politically and publicly as believers. Like I mentioned already overturning Roe v. Wade will not end abortion. It's going to intensify the conflict and Yes, it is to some extent it was a good thing because now The state's don't have a right to an abortion, which is what Roe v. Wade claimed, but the church must still call our nation our politicians and And the society to repent and to heed God's Word.

Because even though the Supreme Court majority is conservative and Pro-life quote-unquote. They still did not have the backbone to do what they should have done and This is where because again you cannot regulate murder in one state Allow it in one state and forbid it in another that makes no sense.

That is that is completely That is a that is an unstable situation in our country and Just like you can't have slavery in one state and not slavery in another state that doesn't make sense and it's going to come to a.

Head.

You're not going to be able to maintain that kind of nation that kind of situation for very long without serious consequences. What we must do as believers is affirm that the unborn bear God's image and are therefore full persons Legally entitled to full protection as recognized by the fifth and especially the 14th amendments of the Constitution.

Now this goes back to what Jesus said in Matthew 10 16 to behold I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. So be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. So we must strategize wisely be wise and clever in our Strategy against the enemy's agenda.

Let's be wise about this and Exercise discernment. This actually reminds me of a good movie called amazing grace. It's about the abolition of the British slave trade and There was interesting because there's a scene in that movie where They're talking about what to do.

What are they going to do next and instead of passing a bill of abolition of the slave trade? They decided to take a more subtle route and They call it in the movie. No suit. No suits decipio or.

We.

We deceive or we cheat is what it literally means and the idea was instead of Passing out an outright bill against abortion. They decided to take a seemingly innocuous Law to force ships British ships Who bear who wear that who were sailing under the American flag That they would be liable to search and seizure by privateers Which in effect would destroy they would completely end the the slave trade at that point and that's essentially what happened in the movie and they were successful because This is kind of a good example of what it means to strategize wisely to be wise as serpents to engage the enemy with wisdom and discernment.

Now if we look at the Constitution The 14th Amendment of the Constitution says this all persons Born or naturalized in the u .s. And subject to the jurisdiction thereof are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside.

No state shall make or enforce any law Which shall abridge the privileges or immunity immunities of the city of the citizens of the United States. Nor shall any state deprive any person of life Liberty or property without due process of law nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

So here you clearly see the right of persons in the u .s. It is so clear that a state has no right To murder its unborn children because you're depriving a person of its life. Its liberty and property you're depriving them to life, which is the most fundamental right and We this is very clearly laid out and You know some people try to make it may try to make the argument like well This is talking about persons born or naturalized and that's not the point of what the amendment is saying.

It's not just talking about people born or naturalized because even now we have laws where if an attacker Kills the woman and her child he is charged with two counts of murder because they are entitled to protection under equal protection of the law so this was always understood in our country and Abortion in fact was illegal in most states prior to Roe v. Wade.

It was already illegal. So by by way of reminder, you know Colossians 2a tells us to See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit. According to human tradition according to the elemental spirits of the world and not according to Christ.

This is why we need to be aware of as citizens of this nation what our laws say and how to use the laws to promote justice and truth and Equity, especially for the unborn in this situation and to not allow the enemy to deceive us with lies or falsehood or misrepresentation.

And I wanted to read Again, the article from John Robbins and the excellent article. I highly commend it to you for reading. It's called abortion the Christian in the state and in that article He says by the grace of God people's thinking wasn't always as stupid as it is today.

Between 1860 and 1880 the nation's physicians led a crusade against abortion and succeeded in getting legislation passed by most state governments making abortion a crime in 1871 before the philosophical irrationalism of the 19th and 20th centuries could affect their thinking.

Members of the American Medical Association denounced physicians who performed abortions in these words. We shall discover an enemy in the camp. We shall witness as hideous a view of moral deformity as the evil spirit could present.

It is false brethren. We have to fear men who are false to their professions false to their principle false to honor false to humanity false to God. They went out they went on to describe physician abortionists as these modern herits.

Educated assassins. Monsters of iniquity and wolves in sheep's clothing. The physicians were clear on their moral authority and did not hesitate to impose their beliefs. They wrote. Thou shalt not kill.

This commandment is given to all and applies to all without exception. They warned that the uplifted hand of an avenging. God will suddenly fall on the guilty head of an abortionist. When the article continues when was the last time you heard anyone described as an educated assassin or a modern heron?

Today, we are too polite, of course to engage in name-calling even when the names are accurate or appropriate. But I do not think what is involved here is courtesy at all. It is rather an attempt to evade recognizing the truth of the matter.

The AMA said this about the language it used in its 1871 report. If our language has appeared to some strong and severe or even intemperate let the gentleman pause for a moment and reflect on the importance and gravity of our subject and Believe that to do justice to the undertaking free from all its improper.

Feeling or selfish considerations was the end and aim of our efforts. We had to deal with human life. In a matter of less importance we could entertain no compromise. An honest judge on the bench would call things by their proper names we could do no less.

Neither could the neither could John the the Baptist or the Apostle Paul or Jesus Christ if you read the Bible. Yet how many preachers let alone doctors engage in calling things by their proper names?

Virtually none. The Reverend J Morgan Smith gave us one reason the fear of men in 1880 responding to criticisms by doctors that the nation's clergy were uninterested in abortion. He said. There are obvious reasons why the pulpits should not always be used to denounce crimes of this nature.

To do it continually would be to turn the pulpit and church into a place that many people would not like to visit. So one must never offend the congregation. This is the first rule of homiletics church growth and fundraising.

Of course people Pastors don't want to do their jobs to call out evil and Compromise their hirelings. But the point that he's making here is look what's at stake. Look at what is at stake. We're talking about our children our legacy the very future our very future even of our nation of the world is at stake here in So many different ways abortion has such a far-reaching impact.

The wickedness and state of abortion impacts so many different things in so many different areas everywhere everywhere in society in family life in everywhere. The in fact the population is facing a worldwide decline.

Many countries are suffering from what's called the demographic winter or the demographic cliff. What this means is that not enough there's not enough young people to to work and sustain the economy to maintain the growing older population and You know as an example, I think the u .s Has like the birth rate of the u .s is like 1 .6 or 1 .7 children per family.

Which is below the rate that you need to have in order to have Continuation of the human race, which is 2 .1. Where we're the same as I think China in fact It's it's we're this is very and of course 65 million babies had something to do with it being killed.

Entire generations. We're talking about 50 years. That's practically two generations of Unborn children being killed. And now we're suffering the consequences of it and yet how do these wicked pro-choice liberals and politicians.

How do they try to solve the problem? Instead of Making abortion illegal and promoting families to have children. They want mass illegal immigration to come in to replace the children that they keep killing off through abortion.

So you fix the wrong by making another wrong and inviting people to come illegally. To replace all of the people that we keep killing off in the womb. It's it's it's how the devil operates. It's nothing but evil compounded.

Two wrongs obviously don't make a right. This similarly brings us now to a different issue with respect to Roe v. Wade called the controversy of star a decisive. This came up a lot when justice Amy Coney Barrett was being nominated and interviewed for the Supreme Court and This doctrine is a this is a doctrine or principle that precedent should take should determine legal decision-making in a case involving similar facts, it's the principle of following judicial precedent and You'll often hear pro-choicers claim that Roe v. Wade is a 50 year old super president that should be left alone.

Because it's attained some kind of high president stat precedence status. Because it's so old so how should we how should we respond as Christians to this kind of thinking and The first thing is of course you want to test the fruit.

Right one way to test This is by testing the fruit that this law has born that this that this court opinion has born in our nation. So if we turn to Matthew 7 in Matthew 7 Verses 15 through 20 we're gonna cover some really important things here.

Matthew 7 verses 15 through 20 Jesus warns beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing. But inwardly are ravenous wolves you will recognize them by their fruits. Our grapes gathered from thorn bushes or figs from thistles so every healthy tree bears good fruit.

But the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.

So what are the in other words? What are the consequences of Roe v. Wade? Has it been a good outcome good consequences or bad consequences? Obviously the answer is obvious. That if you know Roe v. Wade is a lot like building the Tower of Babel.

Excuse me.

It's a lot like building the Tower of Babel only this tower was built upon 50 years of legalized murder of the most helpless persons of all the unborn 65 million. The sanctioning of hitmen abortionists who call themselves doctors that provide reproductive care quote-unquote and the most systemically corrupt organization next to the mafia.

That's the bitter fruit that abortion and Roe v. Wade has contributed to. In fact Organizations like the Center for Medical Progress and Life Dynamics have published numerous reports with sources About how women are raped inside abortion clinics.

This happens regularly. The abortion industry sells aborted baby parts. How child rapists take underage girls to get abortions in clinics that refuse to Report it as statutory rape including all of the former Planned Parenthood clinics in El Paso.

They all fail to report it. And how the abortion industry overwhelmingly targets minority neighborhoods. So just as two wrongs don't make a right time Time will not only fail to make an unjust law just It will fill the cup of God's wrath and compound our judgment.

It will only make things worse to keep this law on the books. We must therefore repent and do away with this wickedness and Seek to abolish abortion at Every level every state everywhere. So if we jump back to Matthew 7 and turn now to verse 24 to 27.

Matthew 7 24 to 27 We see here Jesus says Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock and The rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat on that house but it did not fall because it had been founded on the rock and Everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man Who built his house on the sand and the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house?

And it fell and great was the fall of it. So Roe v. Wade and all these cases that are pushing Immorality like the Obergefell decision about gay marriage all of these cases are Worthless and wicked legal houses built on nothing but sinking sand.

They are There is nothing about them that is legitimate and they therefore Rightfully should be completely removed and condemned in God's eyes. They are In surmountable evil and really The there's so much that the Bible has to say about this.

It's amazing if we turn to Isaiah chapter 5. Isaiah chapter 5 verses 7 and 20 through 24. Isaiah chapter 5 we're gonna start in verse 7 and then jump to 20 through 24. Isaiah chapter 5 verses 7 and 20 to 24.

It says for the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel and the men of Judah are his pleasant planting and He looked for justice, but behold bloodshed For righteousness, but behold an outcry now verse 20.

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil who put darkness for light and light for darkness. Who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and shrewd in their own sight.

Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine and valiant men and mixing strong drink who acquit the guilty for a bribe and Deprive the innocent of his right. Therefore as the tongue of fire devours a stubble and as dry grass sinks down in the flame so their root will be as rottenness and their blossom go up like dust for they have rejected the law of the Lord of hosts and Have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

That is the problem with Roe v. Wade. They're prime examples of not only calling evil good and good evil, but worse legalizing it. Sanctioning it you you you really have to be thoroughly deceived. To think that God is pleased with abortion or okay with it it is an Utmost abomination in the eyes of God.

And judgment is coming and it's here it is going to get intense and justice will ultimately be satisfied either it will be satisfied in the cross and Through you believing and repenting in this in in the gospel.

Or it will be satisfied on Judgment Day when God's wrath is poured on your head for not Believing and trusting in him and all of the sin that we have promoted and compounded ourselves upon ourselves as a nation.

Now I.

Wanted to share a very encouraging word here from John Robbins again in his article With respect to the reluctance or hesitance that many of us might have to proclaim and advocate What the Bible says in the public sphere?

Robbins says Christians have been scared to death by the pagans who argue that one must never impose one's religious beliefs on others. Tell that to the 16 and now 65 plus million American babies who have had the religious beliefs of seven old men on the Supreme Court imposed on them.

In any society some religious beliefs will be imposed. Morality will be legislated. Civil law is nothing more than legislated morality. The physicians of the late 19th century if not The clergy did not hesitate to impose the Sixth Commandment on everyone in society Whether he was a Christian or not.

We must reject the notion. And I quote from David Little professor of religion and sociology again these professors. I'm so sick of these professors like the one I quoted last time. These professors would be better off digging real ditches instead of intellectual ones.

They are bankrupt. They're morally bankrupt. These bioethicists like Peter Singer and philosophers. They are just they're devils. They're intellectual devils at the University of Virginia. That he's a professor of University of Virginia in a pluralistic society.

It is simply not appropriate in the public forum to give a reason. To give as a reason for law or policy the fact that it is derived from the Word of God or is dictated by the.

Bible.

On the.

Contrary. The only good reason for a law or policy is that it is by due deduced by good and necessary Consequence from the Bible that is the only ground we have for establishing laws the only one. As Christians we are commanded to do everything in the name of and to the glory of God and to bring every thought into captivity to Christ.

The pagans want us to talk like Christians inside the church walls and like pagans in the halls of government. If a Christian does that he has betrayed Christ. The Bible has a monopoly on truth and it is about time that Christians began to talk and act as though they believed the Bible.

This is a I think very encouraging that you know, if you don't impose Your biblical beliefs on our society the devil will. That's what you see. And so that's what you're seeing right now. You see this right now in El Paso.

In our own society in our own backyard and next door in New Mexico. This is because everyone has a religion of some form and they all will seek to impose it to one extent or another. Because everyone has views of God of evil morality humanity salvation or a lack thereof whether it's atheism or skepticism or Irrationalism doesn't matter and if you believe in scientism, which is very common in our Materialistic secular humanism that's very popular in society today.

There's a lot of what they teach in schools. Then in which science is your worldview the means by which you acquire knowledge. Then you not only make false assumptions about the world because science itself is false.

It cannot furnish any knowledge. But not only that science cannot furnish any morality whatsoever the reason is because it is subject to Hume's guillotine and Hume's guillotine is the the Dilemma you might have heard called the is-ought dilemma.

The is-ought dilemma means that you cannot derive a command from nature. You cannot derive an ought. Something you should do from an is from what is from observing nature. It doesn't work. It doesn't work that way you cannot logically do that.

Otherwise, it would be okay to kill your neighbor for his lunch. That's what animals do in nature all the time you we see. Things that animals do in nature that wouldn't be acceptable, but that's why you cannot get.

You have to get morality from somewhere from somewhere else it has to come from somewhere and the only legitimate source of morality is a Lawgiver and a just judge that will hold everyone accountable to the same standard of truth and justice.

The only person who is able to do that is the triune God of the Bible the triune Holy God the three persons of the Godhead of the Bible. Because God himself is a just judge that will punish the wicked.

And in one of my one of my speeches to the county courthouse I I pointed this out to them and I told them why am I here sharing my beliefs. Because when the Supreme Court of the US unconstitutionally ruled that abortion is a right.
