Why Social Justice Is Presented as the Engine of Abortion

This is why abortion is still legal. Social justice. For decades, the strategy of those who support abortion has been to use raw state power to produce a world in which everything is equalized and all distinctions and hierarchies are destroyed.

Their desire is for a fanciful kind of utopia, an egalitarian society where there is social justice and fairness and everyone gets the same thing. The problem with the modern day conception of social justice is that it is completely disconnected from biblical justice.

God-Ordained Distinctions, Objective Law, and National Order

This was the system that our nation was founded on, where men and women embraced their God-ordained distinctions and where people lived under the objective rule of law and the freedom that came from operating within its boundaries.

The reason that social justice is dangerous is because it wants to undo all of the things that made our nation great in the first place. But even more importantly, those who want what is referred to as social justice today don't want God's authority and they certainly don't want justice as defined by his word.

Reproductive Justice as a Rebranding of Social Justice

Therefore, the word itself has become a malleable entity shaped to suit the purposes of those who wish to rule by the consensus. This is where we get phrases like reproductive justice from. Feminists and abortion advocates use this quite frequently.

But a more accurate phrase would be reproductive righteousness. However, this sends the social justice warriors over the edge because it implies God, it implies his revelation, his standards. And it's important to remember that although secularists, cultural Marxists and social justice warriors love what they perceive to be justice, it's only the Christian worldview that has a basis for justice at all.

The Triune God as the Basis of Justice

The objective standard for justice rests on the unchanging character of the triune God himself. The term social justice becomes a redundancy because God within his very being is just. And in his word, he gives us the instruction for how we're to carry out justice for each distinction that he makes in the lives of his creatures.

Biblically speaking, justice means giving someone their due. And the due that God commands to be given to the unborn child is to care for them, protect them, and nurture them in the fear and admonition of the Lord because to take their life is murder.

Christians are to be lovers of God's justice and demand reproductive righteousness in the midst of an abortion culture.
