How many of you learn better by doing rather than hearing?

You know, someone can tell me how to do something. I'm not really gonna learn and absorb it until I'm actually doing it.

You know, a child can go to driver's ed and they can sit in the classroom and learn all about how to drive and the rules and everything.

But until they get behind the wheel, they're not really learning how to drive. Now, the classroom stuff's important, but you need to actually learn by doing it.

Well, that's the same with us. We can know all the doctrine and have all the right ideas and beliefs in our head, but unless we're putting it into practice, we're not really gonna understand it as well as we should, and we're not really gonna grow unless we are active in putting these things into practice.
