The Marriage of Isaac and Rebekah

Okay, it's not oppressively hot. Yeah. Well, we'll go ahead and get started. If anybody comes in, they can come in and pick up. We'll probably go over things we've gone over before and we'll probably go over these again later.

So nobody really missed anything. And Isaac was 40 years old when he took Rebekah to wife. The daughter of Bethuel, the Syrian of Paddan Aram, the sister to Laban, the Syrian. And Isaac entreated the Lord for his wife because she was barren and the Lord was entreated off him and Rebekah, his wife, conceived.

Now, if you look a couple of verses later, it will say in verse 26, that was chapter 25, I'm sorry. And that is verse 20 that we started on. But if you'll look ahead to verse 26, okay, Isaac was 40 years old when he took Rebekah to wife.

Then if you look ahead to 26, it says, and Isaac was three score years old when she bared them. So that means that he was married at 40, he had sons at 20. No, he had sons at 60, 20 years later. And so after 20 years, Isaac, like his father Abraham, became...
