The Glory and Mark of the New Covenant

So we've been speaking we've been speaking for the past weeks on the glory of the New Covenant. The glory of the New Covenant. How many of you remember that we've been speaking about the glory of the New Covenant.

Jesus in us the hope of glory. The Bible says that Jesus is the image of the glory of God. You remember? In Hebrews chapter 1 we saw that and as from now for the next weeks, we're going to talk about the mark of the New Covenant.

The mark of the New Covenant, that's why I will ask you to open your Bibles with me in Hebrews the book of Hebrews chapter 9. We read from verse 11. You know, the more we hear the gospel the more things become clear.

Clear in our hearts clear in our minds. Clear clear. No ambiguity. No, maybe but clear. And Christians are settled on the right foundation. Okay. Hebrews chapter 9 verse 11. But Christ came as high priest of the good things to come with a greater and more perfect Tabernacle not made with hands that that is not of this creation not with the blood of goats and Calves but with his own blood he entered the most holy place once for all having contained obtained eternal redemption for the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh.

Christ’s Blood and the New Covenant

How much more? Shall the blood of Christ who through the eternal spirit offered himself without spot to God. Cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the Living God. Verse 15 says. And for this reason in other words because.

Correct and for this reason he is the mediator of the new covenant. By means of death for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant. That those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

Verse 16. For where there is a testament there must also be necessity be the depth of the testator. For a testament is in force after men are dead since it has no power at all while the testator leaves therefore.

Not even the first covenant was dedicated without blood. Now I'm sure that you have already understood and Found out right now, what's the mark of the new covenant? It's the blood. The blood of Jesus Christ.

For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law. When everything was set Moses received the commandments Came back. God gave him instructions for the people of God What to do and what not to do about certain laws.

And then Moses Sprinkled the blood of animals Opened the people he kept half of it half of it is sprinkled it on the altar that he had just made and Half of it he kept To sprinkle the people or the elders or the representatives.

So the blood was first established. Or let's put it that way God established that covenant By sprinkling the blood the blood of animals. He says very clearly. For when Moses have spoken every precept to all the people according to the law He took the blood of calves and goats with water Scarlet wood and his and Sprinkled both the book itself and all the people saying this is the blood of the covenant Which God has commanded you.

In other words the old covenant After the law was given was inaugurated with blood blood of animals. If you want to read it, it's in the book of Exodus chapter 24. If you read from this verses 4 to 8 you will understand what I just said.

So when God spoke to Moses gave him the Ten Commandments Brought it back to the people and God continued to give them instructions and he bound everything of that and he Set it and he Inaugurated it by shedding blood blood of animals.

For what reason it kept the people of God in Fellowship with God. That's why every time you see in the old covenant they had to shed blood. When they build the tabernacle they had to shed blood. Blood of animals the only thing that can take care of sin is the blood.

But in the old covenant, it was the blood of animals and it could not cleanse them from their sins. It could only remind them of their sins. It could only keep them in fellowship and in covenant with God and if they did not do the sacrifices and burn the offerings They would no more be in fellowship with God.

That's why they were under that law. We read it earlier. When Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law. And that was for a period of time. When the people of the old covenant God's people They had to be altars and they had to shed blood.

The priest when he entered the holy of oldies, he had to shed blood. He had to sprinkle the blood. Not only for him but for the people of God. Reminding them of their sins. Because that was the purpose for the priest to enter into the holy of holies.

That was a purpose of the sacrifice. It was because of their sin it was not just a tradition. It was not just something that God was pleased for them to do but there was a purpose behind it. It was the sin of the people.

Every time they had to shed blood. Without the shedding of blood there is no remission for sins. That's what the Bible says. Now there is no other reason why Jesus had to shed his blood. No other reason because of sin.

And that's why even the old covenant was inaugurated by blood. Because you like it or not when sin entered the world God had to take care of it. And the only way he could care of it. He would take care of it was by the blood.

But from that time to the time that Jesus had to come Blood had to be shed. Blood had to be shed and it was linked to the law. Because God gave Moses the law of the ten commandments and instructed them also what to do and what not to do.

You see and even under the Levitical priesthood all the law and the instructions and all the offerings That were given to the people of God they had to shed blood. They could not get away without shedding blood.

They had to do many things. They were bound by law. But the law was not sufficient big. Why. Because God knew that they could not obey the law. But what would take care of their sins. Now you are asked to do something and you can't do it.

What is going to take care of that? Before Jesus. Can you understand that before the new covenant we're talking about the old covenant now. The people of God could not obey the law. They could not. The law could not make them become perfect.

The law could not deal with their sin except to show them that they were sinners. But what would take care of their sins. It's a sacrifice that they would bring. It's the blood that they would shed and That would keep them in fellowship with God.

That would keep them in covenant with God. Because the old covenant was inaugurated by blood. Now you can understand why blood is important even for witchcraft people. Now you understand why? Witchcraft doctors.

All these guys under the power of Satan they use blood. They asked you to to bring animals and they cut it and they shed the blood. But they don't care of their sin that cannot take care of the sin of the people.

That blood that they shed. Can you understand what I'm saying? It cannot deal with the sin of the people. Because they're doing it in another spirit. Then you understand that's why so many people are bound by witchcraft bound by demons and evil spirits.

They fall under the power of Satan. Satan disguises things. He uses blood. But you see God uses blood because of sin. But they do not use blood because of sin. That's the only way that God would take care of the sins of his people and the old covenant.

That was the only way only way. And even Abel at that revelation. Even Abel at that revelation. He brought a sacrifice of the first of the best of his animals. He had the revelation what was to come and everything that is been established.

Said and done under the old covenant is nothing compared to what was to come. It was an image of what was to come. Can you understand that it was an image of what was to come and when what was to come came.

What was made before what was to come had to stop? Is that clear or complicated? In other words something had to happen. Because what was done before Was an image of what would happen? Correct everybody is correct here.

All right now it happens. What happens to the image? It's of no use. The image is of no use. Because the real thing has come. May the Lord help us. And the real thing has come. But you see we must understand the importance of the blood.

That's why Jesus Christ when he died on the cross and shed his blood he went he went to the holy of holies in heaven in heaven. Not made a tabernacle not made by the hand of men but direct to the father and he brought his blood.

The blood that is shed the blood of the perfect sacrifice the blood of the lamb without spot or wrinkle. Not the not the blood of bulls not the blood of calves not the blood of goats. Not the blood of birds.

You see in the old covenant. They said all shed blood of everything birds bulls goats heifers. Anything anything? It was an image of what was to come. Now can you understand why the old covenant was inaugurated by blood.

Lot of blood has to be shed because blood the blood of Christ. You see don't worry about the blood of the old covenant. It had no power. It was just a means to connect with God. Before the truth was revealed.

Before the real thing came. There was nothing else that would satisfy the father. Nothing else that would satisfy God except the blood of his son. Nothing else. Are you there? Can you follow? Nothing else he had to shed blood.

There was no other means of death. He would not he would not die of an heart attack. Can you understand. No, he had to split to shed every single drop of his blood. Because it was the blood of the perfect sacrifice.

The lamb that's why he's called the Lamb of God the lamb without spot or wrinkle. He's the perfect man. Who came in the who came from above took the form of man humbled himself unto the death and. Nothing else would please God.

Nothing else would satisfy God. Nothing nothing but the blood. In the old covenant the sins could not be taken care of. But but they were they were dealt with. I don't know how to explain that my English is not very good.

But you understand what I'm saying. You see that can you understand? Blood of bulls blood of goats which was shed as Sacrifices for always for their sin. Always always for to make them understand. That was the link that was the link between God and them.

Now you can understand why there is so much blood in the old covenant. Blood blood blood blood everywhere. Huh, you're right. Am I right to say that blood blood blood everywhere in the old in the old covenant.

So the blood was a reminder of their sins. It was designed. The shedding of blood was brought forth. To portray to the people of God their faults and their sin. It was not no no, no other reason. No reason no other reason that no power to forgive them.

It had no power to cleanse them. It had no power to purify them. It had it had only a reason. Make them become aware. Aware. Each time blood was shed. They were aware of their state without being changed without being changed.

But they were aware. That what why why why we are asked to shed blood okay because of my sin, okay. All right now I understand. I messed it up and that kept them in fellowship with God you understand.

It it it it hold the key for that covenant to stay alive. The priests were consecrated. Aaron and all the device. Blood was sprinkled on them a sign of purification. I say sign of purification a sign of consent on consecration.

Blood had to be shed and They accepted that blood would be sprinkled upon them so that the people of God would trust them as a priest as The one who would handle the things of the tabernacle. The most important thing for them, it's amazing.

Hebrews chapter 9. Just read verse 7 but into the second part of the height. Part the high priest went alone once a year not without blood which he offered for himself and for the people since committed in ignorance see.

Now you read verse 22 and According to the law according to the law almost all things are purified with blood and without shedding of blood. There is no remission no remission without shedding of blood.

There is no remission and in the old covenant nearly everything had to be covered by blood. Nearly everything had to be covered by blood. We're getting there. We're getting there. We're not there yet.

But we're getting there now you understand why Jesus had to shed his own blood. Right up to the next to the last drop. He was a perfect sacrifice and he did it once and for all. That's why Wayne entered when he entered the world.

What did he say? Sacrifices and offerings. He spoke to his father sattings sacrifices and offerings. You don't want. Correct. That's what he said. He entered the world. He came from the father to live on this earth and give his life and he says Sacrifices and offerings you do not want.

Jesus as the Perfect High Priest

So what would? Replace. All the shedding of all that blood of all these animals. It's clear. It's clear. You see in the old covenant the priest had to take the blood of the animals and bring it himself in the Holy of Holies.

But Jesus didn't do that. No, he didn't take any blood. He shed his own blood. He shed his own blood. That's why he became the high priest of the new covenant cannot be replaced. It said in the book of Hebrews that the priest, you know when he dies his son became priest it was by.

How you call that? Huh? Okay from father to son. All right. It's true or not. No, I tell you in the old covenant. They were the priests of the order of Aaron. Correct. In the new covenant. There's one priest the high priest.

The high priest of the new covenant. He didn't come from the tribe of Levi. Hmm. Jesus didn't come from the tribe of Levi. Because he cannot be compared his priesthood would not be compared to the priesthood of the old covenant, which was under law.

He would not. That's not a. How do you call that a chance? It's not a coincidence. No, it's not. It's not. And he shed his own blood. Become the priest a high priest of the new covenant talked about by the prophets of the old covenant.

You remember the Prophet says in the last days. I Will make a cover new covenant not by the old covenant, but in you covenant. And I will write my law upon your heart. Mm-hmm. That's why when we talk about the perfect sacrifice.

The perfect sacrifice the high priest of the new covenant you Understand that it's not linked with any law whatsoever of the old covenant. We've got to understand that. You see. You can't just accept that Jesus came as a perfect sacrifice shed his own blood go to the father.

Shows his blood and God accepts it and the new covenant starts and then at the same time you link your life with the laws of the old covenant and You are bound to do and to obey one or two or some or a few of the laws of the old covenant.

The law has been done away. Can you understand the law is done away. Since the time that Jesus rose again from the dead took his own blood and presented it to the father in the Holy of Holies. In the holy tabernacle of God in the presence of God the Father.

The Law of Love in the New Covenant

And at that very time Law was done away. There is no more law under the new covenant, but one the law of love. Nothing else nothing else remains, but the law of love. Everything is contained in it. Everything everything if you love you've got it.

If you love your brother, you've got it. Yeah, if you love Jesus with all your heart, you've got it. If you both if you love that man and that sister and brother next to you with all your heart, you've got it.

That's all you need. You don't need anything attached to that. No one has got to tell you the law says you've got to do something. No, you don't have to go and search in the old covenant what the people of Israel did.

To satisfy God no in the new covenant. You don't have to touch any law of the old covenant. Because the law has been done away and there's one left the law of love if you love you've got everything. Because love will control your life.

Love will bring you to be a real servant. Love will bring you to the place where you lose your life and you give your life to someone else. Not law. Not law. That's a problem with the church today. The church says the Bible says that so I must do that the Bible says I must love my wife so I love her.

I Love her the way I want to love her. No, there's only way to love your wife when you give your life for her. That's love. If you don't want to love your life your wife as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her.

You don't love. It's very simple. It's very simple. But now Jesus comes. And he starts a new covenant and Here we are trying to serve him under the old covenant. Our Lord help us. Why do we need that?

What do we need something that cannot help us? Why? Why do you need to be subjected to some law and obligation? Why? Why for what reason? There's no reason. You're free. We are free people. So the law is done away.

How many of you believe that the law is done away? The law is done away. We are free people. Now look Luke chapter 22 verse 20, are you there? Oh. It's lovely. Not that you are there. The gospel is lovely.

Luke 22 verse 20. Likewise, he also took the cup of the supper saying this cup is the new covenant in my blood which is shed for you. This cup is the new covenant of my blood in my blood which is shed for you.

And Jesus said in the gospel of John if you don't eat my flesh and you drink my blood. Okay, what do you say you'll die? But you will live. If you drink my blood and you eat my flesh. How can we do that?

Where are we going to find that? Hey, but Jesus found it very important that somehow We understood what he has done. So that we could identify our lives with him and Give him our life. As he gave his life on that cross and shed his blood and when we partake To the cup and we eat the bread.

We are identifying our lives with Christ. That's what Jesus said and Paul. Paul says it again in 1 Corinthians chapter 11 verse 25. When he talks about the table of the Lord, that's what he says. He repeats what Jesus Christ said.

The Blood of Christ and Salvation

You see the blood of the new covenant. That's what Jesus is talking about here the blood of the new covenant. It's his blood that was shed. It's not the blood of animals that was put on the lintels of the doors.

So that when God would come and kill all the all the firstborn in Egypt even so They were protected. At that time the people of God were protected because when the angel of the Lord would come and God had determined To kill all the firstborn in Egypt and he said to them You just put the blood on the lintel of the door and when the angel come and would see the blood He would pass by the house.

And I want to tell you under the new covenant. It's not even that blood. It's not the blood of that Moses shed on the people of God. It's not the blood that was shed by the high priest into the Holy of Holies to take care of The sins of the people of God, but it's a blood of Jesus Christ.

That's why the Apostle Peter says we are not saved by gold and silver but the precious blood of the Lamb without spot and wrinkle. There's no salvation without the blood of Christ. There's no remission for our sins without the blood of Christ.

There's no Reconciliation with God without the blood of Christ. There's no cleansing of sins today as a Christian without the blood of Christ. There's nothing. There's nothing. But you see we must look at it under the new covenant and understand the power of that blood.

First to reconcile us to God. Looking look in Colossians chapter 1 verse 8. Ephesians chapter 1 verse 8 verse 7 in him. We have redemption through his blood. We have redemption. We've been redeemed Through his blood.

Can you understand? We had to go through that blood. That's why when you are saved when you confess your sins. The blood of Jesus Christ washes you and purifies you from all your past sin. Your sins now even your sins to come.

That's why the Apostle John says in 1 John chapter 1 if we confess our sins he is Faithful To forgive us we are washed our we are purified we are cleansed by the blood Colossians chapter 1 and by him to reconcile all things to himself.

By him whether things on earth or things in heaven having made peace through the blood of his cross. That's how we are reconciled to God. That's how we make peace with God through the blood. So there's something that the blood does when we confess Jesus Christ as Lord when we confess our sins the blood of Christ Cleanses us and we are redeemed by the blood.

You see our faith in Christ Opens up the door. For the blood of Christ to come and cleanse us and purifies us of all our sins by faith by faith. So it's a completely new partnership new covenant with God.

That's why as far as regulations law Instructions of the old covenant, please understand me. Well Please understand me well as far as the law the instructions the regulations and everything that was Asked of the people of God by God in the old covenant is done away with.

Now you don't have to do anything except go the Bible said that what he said come to the Lord. We have access we have entrance in his presence. We don't need anything of the past not even the blood of bulls.

Nothing nothing. There's one sacrifice one perfect sacrifice one new covenant one perfect covenant one high priest a perfect ice priest. Unchangeable he has become the high priest eternally. Okay. Aaron died and his son came his son died and his son son came.

But down there is no more death. He's alive. He's alive forevermore. He's the high priest of the new covenant. The blood is sitting in the Holy of Holies in the tabernacle of God and this same blood washes you cleanse you purifies you redeems you from all sins.

That's the power of the blood. That's the power of the blood. And it's right there. It's a blood of the new covenant. Now you understand why Jesus Christ had to shed all of his blood. Amen. 1 Peter 1 19.

1 Peter 1 19. Let's let's let's read from verse 18 knowing that you were not redeemed you were not redeemed with corruptible things. Okay, no good works can save you nothing. You can do good things. You can give all to the poor.

You can do all sorts of things. Hmm you can give your gold. You can give your silver. You can give your riches. You can give anything to God. No, you are not saved by it from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers but with the precious blood of Christ as of a lamb as of a lamb without Blemish and without spot perfect Perfect sacrifice.

Freedom from Condemnation Through Christ’s Blood

That's why I don't understand why they are Christians living under condemnation. You can't anymore leave under condemnation. When you have the blood of Christ when you confess your sins when you repent towards the Lord.

For what you've done the blood of Jesus Christ washes you and purifies you to clean. There is no more condemnation. You cannot stay condemned. You cannot stay under the accusation of the enemy. You cannot stay under the accusation of your thoughts.

You are saved. You are cleansed every time you come before God and You repent and you put your heart, right? That's why you're that's why the blood of Jesus is there. For your past sins. Your now since and your future sins.

He's taken care of and even has taken care of the whole of the people of the old covenant. He's taken care of them. Verse 15 chapter 9 Hebrews, I'll show you Hebrews 9 verse 15. Okay you there and for this Reason now we come back again and for this reason what reason?

Because of the blood. You read you read verse 14 you will see. Because of the blood. He is the mediator of the new covenant because of his blood for this reason. There is no other reason why Jesus Christ became the high priest of the new covenant.

No other reason but the shedding of his blood. No other reason he could not became the high priest of the new covenant forever. He could not until he shed his blood. That's why the Bible say for this reason.

Because he shed his blood then he became the high priest of the new covenant. Just because of his blood the perfect Sacrificed the blood of the lamb without spot and wrinkle. That's why he walked a perfect life on earth.

Can you see why he walked a perfect life on earth? Because the blood that he would shed had to come from a perfect man a Man, he took the form of men now. Listen, he took the form of men. If he had sinned God would could forgive him.

Why not. Why not? He had taken the form of men a flesh like you and I. Temptations like you and I. And if he had failed God could forgive him, but no. No. Because the blood that had to be shed had to come from a lamb.

He represents the lamb of the old covenant a perfect lamb without spot and wrinkle absolutely pure absolutely clean. That what makes the power of his blood. Do you see that? Hey, that's why his blood is special.

That's why there's power in his blood. That's why his blood can forget can cleanse. That's why his blood can purify. It's not it's not it's not the blood of Apostle Peter. No, it's not the blood of Apostle Peter.

Can you understand what I'm saying? It's not the it's not the blood of bulls. It's not just blood it's a blood of a perfect man. It's a it's a blood of a man that walk without blemish. Without blemish.

The Old Covenant, the New Covenant, and Christian Practice

Now if you catch that then you can understand that all covenant is done away with if you catch that. You can understand now that all that is told ask of you by the church. To do which is written in the old covenant as a law.

Put it away anyway. Whatever it might be and wherever it can come from the greatest preacher on earth. I wouldn't care. He can ask me to give that give this give that according to the law of the old covenant no ways I'm going to give according to the love of God and to the Spirit of God through me the rest.

Keep it. I won't be motivated and Directed by whosoever. According from scripture and law and law. I'm not saying that the old. I don't read the Old Testament. I'm not saying that the Old Testament should not be read.

I'm not saying these things. I'm talking about the laws of the old covenant that are not mine anymore because of the perfect blood because of the perfect blood. How can I associate the perfect blood of the lamb without spot and wrinkle?

Jesus Christ the Son of God with the blood of bulls. Come on now, you can't do that. That's why you can't go back. You can't go back to old principles. You can't go back to old covenant laws. You can't go back to old covenant regulations.

Because all of that was done and a covenant that was inaugurated by the blood of bulls. I'm under the covenant inaugurated by the blood of the Son of God. The perfect man the perfect blood the perfect sacrifice the perfect tabernacle.

That's why the blood that was brought in that perfect tabernacle in the glory of God in the holiness of God. I had to be brought from the blood of a man that would not sin hallelujah. Can you see that?

Can you see the power of that blood to cleanse you and some of you you are walking head down. Because you are condemned by the your sin of next week. Just repent the new way just repent allow your heart to be broken allow your heart to be humble and Broken before before the Lord and the next second as you repent of that sin the blood of Jesus Christ Flows and washes you purifies you cleanse you cleanse everything in you.

That's the power of the blood of Jesus Christ. Now don't use that as witchcraft. Don't use the power of the blood of Jesus Christ like witchcraft doctors. You must be careful now you must Use the blood of Jesus Christ for what is the purpose of what is written in the Bible and nothing else?

Are you there? You've got to use The power of that blood for what it is written in the Bible for it to do. Oh, but you know this preacher said that. Who cares about this preacher don't care about me? Don't care about Jack John Paul Andrew.

No care about what is preached. According to the Bible the Bible says call unto the name of the Lord and you are going to be saved. Calling to the name of the Lord she. We must use the blood of Christ for what it is asked of us to do.

Here there are people that walk away from their home in the morning. And they cover themselves with the blood of Jesus, and they go and do their own thing. But where is that written? Have you got something like that in the old covenant anyway?

It's not for you. All right. The blood was sprinkled the blood the blood the blood the blood the blood of bulls. Was sprinkled unto Aaron. Why don't you go there? Why do you go there? Why do you have to go?

To try and leave a life before the cross when the cross came and the Son of God died on that cross and inaugurated a new way of life. Why do you have to go backwards? That's a problem of the church. We take everything even even things of the old covenant and we try to apply to our lives.

It's not in order. Because the new covenant is a new order. It's a new reformation. It's a new time. It's a new life. How you must help us the Lord must help us. I. Why do you have to go back to the blood of bulls?

Now you want to take the blood of Jesus and do with the blood of Jesus what they did with the blood. Blood of bulls, but you can't do that. How can you use the blood of Christ to do what they did with the blood of animals?

Lord help us. Do that you do that. It's becoming like witchcraft. Hey. Cover yourself with the blood cover yourself with the blood. But where do you find that? Please tell me where you find it. I Can only find that in the Old Covenant.

It was an image. Any mage a shadow of the things to come. That's what it was. But why do you want to use the blood of the perfect lamb? It's well there and Try to imitate. The priest of the Old Covenant, did you see what the apostle Peter said about the church?

About our priesthood. What are we what the Bible says in Peter? We are a royal priesthood. Do you think these guys are the Old Covenant were royal priesthood? Come on now. No, I'm not criticizing them, no, I'm not please understand but do you think they were royal priesthood?

God we can because the blood washes us clean. You see that there they were sprinkled. Now the blood washes. Purifies cleanses clean and we become high priest of the new covenant. Not the perfect high priest because there's only one Jesus Christ the mediator of the new covenant.

The one who shed his blood. Oh Lord, he must help us to understand. Then there are some who plead it they plead it. Let's be careful not to invent things. Invent things. I Tell you Jesus said drink my blood.

Drink my blood. Partake partake to my sacrifice. Identify your life with my sacrifice. Be ready to suffer. There's one scripture in the book of Peter will close. On Peter chapter 4. Therefore since Christ suffered for us in the flesh arm yourselves also with the same mind for he was suffered in the flesh as ceased from sin.

Suffering in the Flesh and Taking Up the Cross

Can you see? Please. Can you see what happens when you give your life and you take that road of the cross and you allow God to break you? And mold you can you understand when you when you are ready to die when you're ready to lose your life?

God deals with your flesh. That he no longer should leave the rest of his time in the flesh for the lust of men. But be but for the will of God. You want to do the will of God? You want to do the will of God?

You don't have to plead the blood. You just have to take up your cross and follow him and God will deal with that flesh. Do you understand. God will deal with that flesh. That's what it's written here.

You suffer in the flesh then sin Will stop in your life. The Bible says that sin dwells in the flesh. There's no automatic. You call that solution in the Bible. There's no a press-button. Christianity in the Bible.

It's a walk on the road of the cross. It's a life that you give. It's a loss of your life. Drink my blood eat my flesh. What do you think that means? Drink my cup. By blood drink my blood and eat my flesh.
