This is why abortion is still legal. The loss of masculine and feminine. It's no secret that our culture is hostile to biblical masculinity and femininity as they've attempted to destroy the concepts of men and women altogether.

But the church and the pro-life movement witnessed the enemy of abortion raging on in large part because we've lost a vision for the uniqueness of the male and female sexes. Jesus says, have you not read from the beginning God made them both male and female?

The Bible teaches us that sex is much more than just an activity, but it's actually something that God has placed within us. From the way that he designed our bodies to the way that he commands us to act and live out our very lives.

We're supposed to live in obedience to the sex that God made us. One of the main reasons our culture is obsessed with murdering their children by abortion is because we've lost the glory of the woman.

Honoring Women, Motherhood, and the Glory of Femininity

Specifically in the area of motherhood. Pregnancy, children, birth are mocked in our culture more and more in favor of a view of a woman that takes initiative in her career or education and sets these things on the back burner.

If Christians are serious about wanting to stop abortion, then we have to start honoring women again. Their uniqueness and their ability to make and nurture life. In short, we have to prize these attributes and encourage women to be women.

Because true femininity is beautiful and it should be praised and celebrated. This hasn't been the case though, thanks to a loss of manhood and masculinity on the other side of the coin. We have a society full of soft men that love comfort, hate discipline, and are willing to kill so that they can continue to fornicate.

Male Responsibility, Protection, and Self-Denial

You know them. They're the ones that are always walking behind the woman going into an abortion clinic. But as we're told, even though Eve ate first, God held Adam responsible. Throughout scripture we see that men are held accountable by God for the human race.

He holds us responsible for protecting women and shielding the weak and the defenseless. And I'm not talking about machismo. I'm talking about the self-denying manly pursuit of eternal life. We're built to lead and provide.

And if men don't start living the sex that God made us to be in every realm, whether family, church, or civil government, then we'll continue to live in a nation of abortion where people murder their children.
