The fourth one is, give us this day our daily bread. In the fourth petition, which is give us this day our daily bread, we pray that God of his free, we pray that God, excuse me, we pray that of God's free gift, we may receive a competent portion of the good things of this life and enjoy his blessing with them.
So we pray that we would receive things from God and be able to enjoy his blessing on them.
All things may be enjoyed if they are received with thanksgiving and with his blessing.
So, while when we pray, we should be praying for God's glory, one of the ways that he is glorified is by our enjoyment of the gifts he gives.
We give him gratitude for the things he gives us and we see his goodness in those things he gives us.
So it is right to, it is right to pray for some reasonable portion of God's good gifts.
It's also right to understand that he is most wise and he knows what is best for us. And so, while we should pray for good things, we should recognize that God knows what is truly good.
