00:07
Judges 12 Then the men of Ephraim were summoned, and they crossed to Zaphon and said to Jephthah, Why did you cross over to fight against the sons of Ammon, but did not call us to go with you?
00:20
We will burn your house down on you. Then Jephthah said to them, I and my people were at great strife with the sons of Ammon.
00:28
I cried out to you, but you did not save me from their hand. And I saw that you would not save me.
00:33
So I took my life in my hands, and crossed over against the sons of Ammon, and Yahweh gave them into my hand.
00:41
Why then have you come up to me this day to fight against me? Then Jephthah gathered all the men of Gilead and fought
00:47
Ephraim. And the men of Gilead struck Ephraim down, because they said, You are fugitives of Ephraim, O Gileadites, in the midst of Ephraim and in the midst of Manasseh.
00:58
And the Gileadites captured the fords of the Jordan opposite Ephraim. And it happened, when any of the fugitives of Ephraim said,
01:06
Let me cross over, the men of Gilead would say to him, Are you an Ephraimite?
01:11
If he said, No, then they would say to him, Say now Shibboleth. But he said,
01:17
Sibboleth, for he could not pronounce it correctly. Then they seized him and slaughtered him at the fords of the
01:24
Jordan. Thus there fell at that time forty -two thousand of Ephraim. And Jephthah judged
01:30
Israel six years. Then Jephthah the Gileadite died and was buried in one of the cities of Gilead.
01:36
Then Ibzan of Bethlehem judged Israel after him. And he had thirty sons and thirty daughters whom he gave in marriage outside the family.
01:45
And he brought in thirty daughters from outside for his sons. And he judged Israel seven years.
01:51
Then Ibzan died and was buried in Bethlehem. Then Elon the Zebulonite judged
01:57
Israel after him. And he judged Israel ten years. And Elon the Zebulonite died and was buried at Aijalon in the land of Zebulon.
02:06
Then Abdon the son of Hillel the Perethonite judged Israel after him. And he had forty sons and thirty grandsons who rode on seventy donkeys.
02:15
And he judged Israel eight years. Then Abdon the son of Hillel the Perethonite died and was buried at Perethon in the land of Ephraim in the hill country of the
02:25
Amalekites. Acts 16
02:32
Now Paul also arrived at Derbe and at Lystra. And behold, a disciple was there named
02:37
Timothy, the son of a Jewish woman who was a believer, but his father was a Greek. And he was well spoken of by the brothers who were in Lystra and Iconium.
02:47
Paul wanted this man to go with him, and he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those parts, for they all knew that his father was a
02:55
Greek. Now while they were passing through the cities, they were delivering the decrees which had been decided upon by the apostles and elders who were in Jerusalem for them to keep.
03:06
So the churches were being strengthened in the faith and were abounding in number daily. And they passed through the
03:12
Phrygian and Galatian region, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia.
03:18
And after they came to Mysia, they were trying to go into Bithynia, and the Spirit of Jesus did not permit them.
03:25
And passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas. And a vision appeared to Paul in the night.
03:31
A man of Macedonia was standing and appealing to him, and saying, Come over to Macedonia and help us.
03:37
And when he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go into Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to proclaim the gospel to them.
03:46
So setting sail from Troas, we ran a straight course to Samothrace, and on the day following to Neapolis.
03:53
And from there to Philippi, which is a leading city of the district of Macedonia, a
03:59
Roman colony. And we were staying in this city for some days. And on the Sabbath day we went outside the gate to a riverside, where we were supposing that there would be a place of prayer.
04:10
And sitting down, we began speaking to the women who had assembled. And a woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple fabrics, a worshipper of God, was listening, whose heart the
04:22
Lord opened to pay attention to the things spoken by Paul. And when she and her household had been baptized, she urged us, saying,
04:30
If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house and stay. And she prevailed upon us.
04:37
Now it happened that as we were going to the place of prayer, a servant girl, having a spirit of divination, met us, who was bringing her masters much profit by fortune -telling.
04:47
Following after Paul and us, she kept crying out, saying, These men are slaves of the
04:53
Most High God, who are proclaiming to you the way of salvation. And she continued doing this for many days.
05:00
But being greatly annoyed, Paul turned and said to the spirit, I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to leave her.
05:08
And it left at that very moment. But when her masters saw that their hope of profit had left, they seized
05:14
Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace before the authorities. And when they had brought them to the chief magistrates, they said,
05:22
These men are throwing our city into confusion, being Jews, and are proclaiming customs that are not lawful for us to accept or to observe, being
05:31
Romans. And the crowd joined together to attack them, and the chief magistrates, tearing their garments off of them, proceeded to order them to be beaten with rods.
05:40
And when they had inflicted them with many wounds, they threw them into prison, commanding the jailer to guard them securely, who, having received such a command, threw them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks.
05:55
But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.
06:02
And suddenly there came a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the jailhouse were shaken, and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were unfastened.
06:13
And when the jailer awoke and saw the prison doors opened, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped.
06:21
But Paul cried out with a loud voice, saying, Do not harm yourself, for we are all here.
06:27
And he called for lights and rushed in, and trembling with fear, he fell down before Paul and Silas.
06:33
And after he brought them out, he said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said,
06:39
Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your house. And they spoke the word of the
06:45
Lord to him together with all who were in his household. And he took them that very hour of the night and washed their wounds, and immediately he was baptized, he and all his household.
06:56
And he brought them into his house and set food before them, and rejoiced greatly with his whole household, because he had believed in God.
07:04
Now when day came, the chief magistrates sent their policemen, saying, Release those men.
07:10
And the jailer reported these words to Paul, saying, The chief magistrates have sent to release you.
07:16
Therefore come out now and go in peace. But Paul said to them, Having beaten us in public without trial, men who are
07:23
Romans, they have thrown us into prison, and now they are sending us away secretly? No indeed, but let them come themselves and bring us out.
07:33
And the policemen reported these words to the chief magistrates. They were afraid when they heard that they were
07:39
Romans. And they came and appealed to them, and when they had brought them out, they kept requesting them to leave the city.
07:46
And they went out of the prison and entered the house of Lydia. And when they saw the brothers, they encouraged them and left.
07:57
Jeremiah 25 The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah – that was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon – which
08:11
Jeremiah the prophet spoke to all the people of Judah and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying,
08:16
From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Ammon, king of Judah, even to this day, these twenty -three years the word of Yahweh has come to me, and I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking, but you have not listened.
08:30
And Yahweh has sent to you all his slaves, the prophets, rising up early and sending, but you have not listened, nor inclined your ear to hear, saying,
08:41
Turn now, everyone, from his evil way and from the evil of your deeds, and live on the ground which
08:47
Yahweh has given to you and your fathers for ever and ever. And do not walk after other gods to serve them and to worship them.
08:55
And do not provoke me to anger with the work of your hands, and I will bring no evil against you.
09:01
Yet you have not listened to me, declares Yahweh, in order that you might provoke me to anger with the work of your hands to your own evil demise.
09:11
Therefore, thus says Yahweh of hosts, Because you have not listened to my words, behold,
09:16
I will send and take all the families of the north, declares Yahweh, and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon my servant, and I will bring them against this land and against its inhabitants, and against all these surrounding nations, and I will devote them to destruction, and make them an object of horror and of hissing and an everlasting waste place.
09:38
Moreover, I will make the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.
09:45
The sound of the millstones and the light of the lamp, to perish from them. This whole land will be a waste place and an object of horror, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
09:58
Then it will be when seventy years are fulfilled, that I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, declares
10:04
Yahweh, for their iniquity, even the land of the Chaldeans, and I will make it an everlasting desolation.
10:11
And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have spoken against it, all that is written in this book which
10:18
Jeremiah has prophesied against all the nations. For many nations and great kings will make slaves of them, even them, and I will repay them according to their deeds and according to the work of their hands.
10:31
For thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, says to me, Take this cup of the wine of wrath from my hand and cause all the nations to whom
10:39
I send you to drink it. They will drink and stagger and go mad because of the sword that I will send among them.
10:47
Then I took the cup from the hand of Yahweh and made all the nations to whom Yahweh sent me drink it,
10:53
Jerusalem and all the cities of Judah and its kings and its princes, to make them a waste place, an object of horror, an object of hissing, and a curse as it is this day.
11:03
Pharaoh king of Egypt, his servants, his princes, and all his people, and all the foreign people, all the kings of the land of Uz, all the kings of the land of the
11:13
Philistines, even Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod, Edom, Moab, and the sons of Ammon, and all the kings of Tyre, all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the coastlands which are beyond the sea, and Dedan, Tema, Buz, and all who cut the corners of their hair, and all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the foreign people who dwell in the desert, and all the kings of Zimri, all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of Midiah, and all the kings of the north, near and far, one with another, and all the kingdoms of the earth which are upon the face of the ground, and the king of Shishak shall drink after them.
11:53
You shall say to them, Thus says Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel, Drink, be drunk, vomit, fall, and rise no more because of the sword which
12:05
I will send among you. And it will be, if they refuse to take the cup from your hand to drink, then you will say to them,
12:12
Thus says Yahweh of hosts, You shall surely drink. For behold, I am beginning to bring evil against this city which is called by my name.
12:21
But shall you be completely free from punishment? You will not be free from punishment.
12:27
For I am calling for a sword against all the inhabitants of the earth, declares Yahweh of hosts.
12:33
Therefore you shall prophesy against them all these words. And you shall say to them,
12:39
Yahweh will roar from on high, and give forth his voice from his holy habitation.
12:44
He will roar mightily against his pasture. He will bellow a shout like those who tread the grapes against all the inhabitants of the earth.
12:53
A rumbling has come to the end of the earth, because Yahweh has a contention against the nations.
12:59
He is entering into judgment with all flesh. As for the wicked, he has given them to the sword, declares
13:05
Yahweh. Thus says Yahweh of hosts, Behold, evil is going forth from nation to nation, and a great storm is being stirred up from the remotest parts of the earth.
13:17
Those slain by Yahweh on that day will be from one end of the earth to the other. They will not be lamented, gathered, or buried.
13:25
They will be like dung on the face of the ground. Wail, you shepherds, and cry out, and roll yourselves in ashes, you masters of the flock.
13:34
For the days of your slaughter and your scatterings are being fulfilled, and you will fall like a desirable vessel.
13:41
Refuge will perish from the shepherds and escape from the mighty ones of the flock. Hear the sound of the cry of the shepherds, and the wailing of the mighty ones of the flock.
13:52
For Yahweh is destroying their pasture, and the peaceful pastures are made silent, because of the burning anger of Yahweh.
14:00
He has forsaken His hiding place like the lion, for their land has become an object of horror, because of the burning desire of the oppressor, and because of His burning anger.
14:15
Mark 11. And as they approached Jerusalem, at Bethphage in Bethany, near the
14:20
Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples, and said to them, Go into the village opposite you, and immediately as you enter it you will find a colt tied there, on which no one yet has ever sat.
14:32
Untie it and bring it here. And if anyone says to you, Why are you doing this? You say,
14:38
The Lord has need of it, and immediately He will send it back here. And they went away and found a colt tied at the door, outside in the street, and they untied it.
14:48
And some of the bystanders were saying to them, What are you doing, untying the colt? And they spoke to them just as Jesus had told them, and they gave them permission.
14:57
And they brought the colt to Jesus and put their garments on it, and He sat on it. And many spread their garments in the road, and others spread leafy branches, having cut them from the fields.
15:08
And those who went in front and those who followed were shouting, Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the
15:14
Lord! Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!
15:20
And Jesus entered Jerusalem and came into the temple. And after looking around at everything,
15:25
He left Bethany with the twelve, since it was already late. And on the next day, when they had left
15:31
Bethany, He became hungry. And seeing at a distance a fig tree that had leaves,
15:36
He went to see if perhaps He would find anything on it. And when He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.
15:45
And He answered and said to it, May no one ever eat fruit from you again. And His disciples were listening.
15:52
Then they came to Jerusalem, and He entered the temple and began to drive out those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the moneychangers in the seats of those who were selling doves.
16:04
And He was not permitting anyone to carry merchandise through the temple. And He began to teach and say to them,
16:10
Is it not written, My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations? But you have made it a robber's den.
16:17
And the chief priests and the scribes heard this, and began seeking how to destroy Him, for they were afraid of Him, for the whole crowd was astonished at His teaching.
16:27
And when evening came, they were going out of the city. And as they were passing by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots.
16:35
And being reminded, Peter said to Him, Rabbi, look, the fig tree which You have cursed has withered.
16:42
And Jesus answered and said to them, Have faith in God. Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain,
16:49
Be taken up and cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him.
16:57
For this reason I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted to you.
17:05
And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your
17:11
Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions. But if you do not forgive, neither will your
17:18
Father who is in heaven forgive your transgressions. Then they came again to Jerusalem.
17:23
And as He was walking in the temple, the chief priests and the scribes and the elders came to Him, and began saying to Him, By what authority are
17:31
You doing these things? Or who gave You this authority to do these things? And Jesus said to them,
17:37
I will ask you one question, and you answer Me, and then I will tell you by what authority
17:42
I do these things. Was the baptism of John from heaven or from men? Answer Me.
17:48
And they began reasoning among themselves, saying, If we say, From heaven, He will say, then why did you not believe
17:55
Him? But if we say, From men, they were afraid of the crowd, for everyone was regarding John to have been a real prophet.
18:03
And answering Jesus, they said, We do not know. And Jesus said to them, Neither will
