Hello, welcome back to Daily Bites, God's Word. This is Andy Cain, and it is a joy to be back with you once again.
Today we're looking at Psalm 119, verse 66. Yes, I know, the next one is 67, and everybody's gonna say 67, so get your minds right now, and you'll be ready.
So, it says, This word, discernment, means judgment.
Teach me good judgments, good discernment. I want to be able to weigh things, and compare things, and know what is good, what is bad, what
I should be doing, what I shouldn't be doing, all those things. I can do that if I know Your Word, and can understand
Your Word, and then digest it, and apply it. This should be your cry. You should want
God to teach you good discernment and good knowledge. This comes from the proper biblical wisdom that we should be seeking, and this is because we come from a heart of believing in commandments.
You know, you put faith and stock in things that you truly believe in. If someone tells you advice, or gives you wisdom and advice and things, you're more likely to listen to somebody that you trust, versus somebody like, well,
I don't know, man, something about it just don't seem right. Then you've got other people that tell you something, and you're like, yep, you can take what they say to the bank, it is good, it is gold, you can trust it, you're good to go.
Well, that's how the Word of God should be for us. We want to learn the Word of God, because we believe in His commandments, we believe in the
God behind the commandments, and we want, you notice here it says, teach me good discernment and knowledge.
We know where this comes from, it has one source, it is the God of the Bible, and it is His Word that brings that to us.
