DAY 155: Proverbs 4–6

DAY 155: Proverbs 4–6 Proverbs 4–6 brings wisdom out of the realm of principles and into the ordinary decisions, habits, desires, and relationships that shape the course of an entire life. These chapters repeatedly warn that the battle for wisdom is ultimately a battle for the heart, revealing how pride, lust, laziness, deception, greed, and unchecked desire slowly direct people toward destruction, while diligence, purity, self-control, covenant faithfulness, and disciplined obedience lead to stability, peace, and flourishing. The passage ultimately points to Jesus Christ, the perfectly wise Son who walked the path of righteousness without compromise, and who through the Gospel not only teaches wisdom but gives His people new hearts, enabling them to increasingly love what is good, hate what is evil, and walk faithfully beneath His reign.
