We'll have a word of prayer, please. Our Father, with reverence in our hearts tonight, we bow to thank thee for the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. We thank thee for these two testimonies that have been given tonight, clear and simple in place, how, when, and where they started for heaven and home.
We ask thy blessing upon our brethren and all that they represent. And as we open thy word now, we ask for further help and give thanks in his worthy name. Amen. Luke's Gospel, please, chapter 13. Luke chapter 13, quarter past eight is the time to finish, so I'd share it with somebody else.
Luke chapter 13, please. Notice what the Lord said, verse number four, for sake of time, or those 18 upon whom the tower of Siloam fell, and slew them. Think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
I tell you nay, but except you repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Verse six, a certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard. Verse seven, behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this tree, and find none.
Verse eight, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it and dung it, if it bear fruit well. If not then after that, thou shalt cut it down. Further down the chapter now, please. Verse 23, then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved?
He said unto them, strive to enter in at the straight gate. For many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house has risen up, and is shut to the door, ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us, and he shall answer, and say unto you, I know you not whence you are.
Verse 34, O Jerusalem, Jerusalem which killeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings.
You would not. Those are the readings for a few minutes as we continue. Now, you have had the challenge sent out tonight from this platform. You have heard how these two individuals were saved by the grace of God.
I want to pick the next layer on here, and I want to show this audience that as we sit here, every soul without the Lord Jesus, you have a choice to make. What are you going to do with the Savior that has been brought to your attention tonight?
I want you to think of a tower that fell. I want you to think of a tree that was cut down. I want you to think of a house that had a door on it, and I want you to think of a hen that gathered her brood.
You see, those that knew about this tower, the Lord had a very unique way of presenting the gospel. He could read what was in a person's heart, and he said, You folk think that these people that were slain at the tower when it fell, that they are sinners above what you are.
And he says, well, it's not right, but except you repent, you'll all likewise perish. So, dear soul, tonight here's the first choice. You either repent of your sin tonight, or maybe perish when it's comes to the last day.
You've heard the facts presented. You likely know what the gospel is all about. But it's my burden tonight to bring it home to your attention, dear soul. You have a choice to make. Are you going to repent tonight?
You know you're a sinner. That's what the book teaches. Not a man living that doeth good and sinneth not. Here you are tonight, this Saturday night, without the Lord Jesus. Dear soul, you've got to make a choice.
Will you repent or perish? Here's a tree. It was a favored tree. It was in the vineyard. But you see, it was a fruitless tree. Nothing on the tree for God. Now, here you are tonight, friend, without the Lord Jesus, and there's nothing in your life for the God of heaven.
And even though you're favored above other people, you're still a fruitless individual. Now, here's your choice. You'll either bear fruit tonight by taking the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, or be cut down.
Now, I can't take time to tell you, but there's some very, very soft cases have crossed our path since I was here two years ago. There are people that thought they would have plenty of time to get saved, but they didn't.
See the point tonight? You either bear fruit, take the Savior right now, or be cut down and someone else will take your place in heaven. That's what the edict was, cut it down. Why cumber it at the ground.
Dear soul, just just stop a minute tonight. You likely know more gospel than others that have never heard it or heard it once. You have a choice to make tonight. Take the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior right now, or be cut down.
And somebody says, well, how could I take the Lord Jesus? Well, you've heard tonight from my two brethren. They found out that there were poor, lost, vile, guilty sinners on the way to hell. Have you found that out tonight?
I'll give you a simple example. Brother Alec Treiber and I preached down there in the West some years ago. Then in the state of Oregon, and this dear lady come out this Friday night. She was in her seventies.
She said, man, I've just found out tonight. I'm a poor sinner on the way to hell. And I have played the organ in the church for 50 years, and I've just found it out. You found it out tonight, friend. You have a choice to make.
That dear soul was saved. It's in heaven tonight. What are you going to do? Would you take the Lord Jesus for the first time? Understand that when he died for the ungodly, he died for the sinner, and I am the ungodly person.
And you know what? He died in my place as my substitute for me. Would you take him tonight? Would you bear fruit in that sense? Or be cut down? Here's another one. It's already been alluded to several times in this conference in the week that has just slipped down to eternity.
I want you to think of a house, and this house has one door on it. And it's the house for our purposes tonight is heaven. And the door is the Lord Jesus. My friend, you have a choice to make. You either strive to enter through that door, make it number one in your life tonight, or be left outside.
What are you going to do? One of these days, what I'm talking about right now will take place. Here's your choice. You can be in deadly earnest tonight, or be in deadly earnest when the door is closed.
Too late. I want to urge you tonight, before you leave this room, and you say goodnight to whoever, you have a choice to make. Will you take the Lord Jesus Christ right now? Or will you say no? Some other time.
Maybe you're not interested tonight. But what has been presented has been brought by the Spirit of God to your understanding, and you've come right now. And before this meeting started, you hadn't a thought about your soul or been saved.
The Spirit of God is urging you right now. Or will you be in deadly earnest? Or will you say not tonight? And after the Lord comes, the door is shut. I want to tell this audience, I'm among those that believe, that if you have reached the years of accountability, whatever age group that is, in your case, and you have said no to the Lord Jesus, you'll never be saved.
You'll be outside. You'll be in deadly earnest then. And you look back to a night right in this very building, where the Spirit of God urged you to trust the Savior. But you said not tonight. God help your friend this night.
To say yes. Lord Jesus Christ, I'll trust thee right now. Guilty, lost, and helpless, thou canst make me whole. There is none in heaven or on earth like thee. Thou hast died for sinners. Therefore, Lord, for me, a tower, a tree, a house, and a hen.
Now, let me just be very simple into the point. Friend, the Lord Jesus is talking to a city favorite Jerusalem. He's saying, people, how often would I have gathered thee as a hen to gather her brood under her wings?
I would. You would not. Now, there's your choice again. Are you going to take the Lord Jesus Christ and take this opportunity right now or say no some other time? Get the drift of the verse. The Lord's saying to you tonight, I would.
You're saying, I would not. I have just a few minutes. Let me tell this audience, in case I don't have a chance to tell you again. You see what you're doing here tonight, we're delighted to see you, whoever you are.
And why we preach like this is because there's a great eternity to be faced. And the Holy Bible tells us there's only two places in eternity. There's heaven for the saved and there's hell for the damned.
Dear people tonight, what are you going to do with the Lord Jesus Christ? Why would I urge you tonight? Whatever else you miss in life, make sure you don't miss the Savior. Will you take him tonight? Right now, as your personal and eternal Savior, by accepting the gift of salvation and meet us in heaven when life has passed.
Or will you say no tonight? Not out loud, but in your heart and land in hell at last. Friend of mine, whoever you are tonight, this is forever. That's why we preach like this. And that's why we give a balanced gospel.
Dear soul, if we didn't love your soul tonight, we wouldn't pray and preach the way we do. We want to see every person that has come to this conference and is sitting listening to us right now to be in heaven when life has passed.
Now, what are you going to do? Choose you this day who you will serve. What shall I do then with Jesus, which is called Christ? You've got to say yes or no. God help you. Just a few minutes to eight o 'clock.
Take the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior. I was saved 55 years ago, June the 2nd, 1957. Brother Harold Paisley has been mentioned tonight. He was preaching. He was a young man of 33 years of age. And as a poor, lost, guilty sinner, deserving eternal punishment, I took the Lord Jesus as my Savior.
And Lord, will you take him tonight as the meeting continues? When you think of it, I haven't had time to develop it. I've given you the bones of what's on my heart. A tower, a tree, a house, and a hand.
