Does God love everyone or just Christians? Now, this is a challenge that really has come up in recent decades because, well, of a gospel tract. There was a gospel tract that was written, God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life.

That is a false tract. If you think about it, what is the wonderful plan that God has for the unbeliever? Hell? That doesn't sound so wonderful. What, are they going to have a wonderful life on earth?

Not always. God does have a wonderful plan, but it's not for us. It's for Him, for His glory. The focus shifted from focusing on God and who He is to focusing on man and who He wants to be. And this is something that has been a struggle ever since Genesis chapter 3.

God’s General Love for All and Special Love for His People

So, does God love everyone? Well, in one sense, yes. He has a general love for all. That in Acts it says that the rain falls on the just and the unjust. But when we talk about His special love, well, let's first look in the book of Psalms.

Psalm 7, 11. It says, God is a righteous judge and a God who feels indignant every day. He's angry with the wicked every day is how New King James says it. But more important is Psalm 5, 5. The boastful shall not stand before your eyes.

You hate all evildoers. So many people hate that verse. Why? Because it clearly says God hates, not the sin, He hates the evildoers. So, no, God doesn't love all people.
