Why do Christians want to be able to have demons so bad? I got a lot of pushback on The Holy Nope episode 322 in which the demon slayers lead

Christians in a mass deliverance from ancestral spirits, voodoo spirits, spirits of witchcraft and mind control and tentacles.

Every spirit of voodoo, every spirit of obia, every spirit of witchcraft in the bloodline,

Come Out in Jesus Name documentary. I'm not stoked that deliverance is the hill on which I must fight.

I don't really enjoy dealing with it, but here we are. And because I've made videos already, what

I'm going to do in this breakdown is respond to the comments on my post in a rapid fire sort of way.

So, when Jesus sent the apostles out and the cast -out demons in Jesus' name, was that a no? Of course not. Jesus sent his apostles to the

Israelites and gave them the ability to perform demonstrations of power to announce to Israel that their long -awaited

Messiah had arrived. The problem is when we read ourselves into texts that don't apply to us in the way we want them to.

I get called that a lot, usually by people who don't understand what a Pharisee is. According to Jesus in Matthew 23, a chief characteristic of Pharisees is that they lay heavy burdens on men's shoulders.

The demon slayers lay the burden of demonic inhabitation on the shoulders of God's children, adding to the gospel the requirement to cast out demons out of yourself and out of others.

Here's Isaiah Saldivar mocking Christians who haven't cast out demons. If casting out demons was required of you, there would be some instruction about it in the epistles.

I'm trying to get you to see that demonic inhabitation is a burden you don't have to bear. So what did they do wrong? I hope y 'all know that as Christians, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but spiritual tyrants in the atmosphere.

I made a video recently in which I cover Ephesians 6 and the armor of God. I think the simple exegesis of the text demonstrates that it has nothing to do with the modern deliverance movement.

They actually teach that you can perform deliverance on yourself, so give it a try and keep us updated. People can self -deliver by the power of the

Holy Spirit. There you go. Would love to hear of your experience in casting out demons. Oh wait, there isn't any.

You don't know me. You don't what is good. You don't know. You don't know me. You don't know.

People ask me how I would do deliverance. I would preach the gospel. If you don't have the signs that follow believers, then something is wrong with your faith.

Maybe one day you'll be a believer with the evidence these men have. This is the sad conclusion of much charismatic theology.

If you can't do what I do, then you have a faith problem. I'm waiting for people to start being consistent with Mark 16 when it comes to picking up serpents and drinking poison.

The devil is real and under our feet, and there is power in the name of Jesus. You sit in your suburban home just thinking about Christianity as a philosophy without power.

I didn't see really any on episode 321, featuring another demon slayer, Alexander Pagani, which took place in the exact same kind of setting.

It may have even been the same event. Well, I'm ready to hear the word. You're going to repeat this prayer after me. You're going to say it like you mean it.

At the end, you're going to go there. Here's what I don't want you to do. Now, this is going to sound crazy because we're

Pentecostal, right? We're charismatic. I don't want you praying in tongues, and I'm going to tell you why.

You're blocking the door. What do I mean by that? How many of you know that when you start praying in tongues, it's fire?

You're praying the fire of heaven. And what happens is whatever is in here can't come out because, like,

I ain't going through that door. There's too much fire there. When the demon leaves a little bit later, the
