Abortion as Murder and a Violation of God's Law

Every day, nearly 40 unborn children are murdered by abortion in the state of Arizona. Now as Christians, we know this is ultimately a violation of God's law. It's a murder. It's a violation of His holy character.

He's the one that creates all of us. From the very beginning, our value, our intrinsic worth is based on His very character, His nature. He makes us all in His image. There's also the aspect of biological science that testifies to this truth as well.

That from the moment that we're conceived, from that moment of fertilization, at the very beginning, life is there. That's the origin of life in the womb. From the moment of conception, biology and science testifies to this.

Abortion as a Gospel Issue and the Call to Repentance

Now of course, this testifies to the fact that abortion and the killing, the murder of unborn children is a gospel issue. It's an issue where those, all parties involved with this sin, this act, this crime, are going to be held accountable by God and thus they need His forgiveness.

They need the call of repentance ultimately to turn from their sin, turn from their lawlessness and breaking God's law and violating His character in this way and experience the forgiveness that can only be found in Jesus Christ.

That's the call of the gospel is to turn from sin and to come to Jesus. It's a violation of God's law, yes, but it's also a violation of Arizona state law. You see, in Arizona state law, our legal definition of homicide includes within it, very specifically outlined in the parameters, an unborn child at any stage of its development.

Arizona Law, Homicide, and Statute 13-3603

That's currently in our code, legally speaking, for homicide. It's contained in Arizona revised statute 13 -3603, which is a powerful precedent on this point. It says that anyone that intentionally procures the miscarriage of a woman's child, either by surgical means or chemical means, is subject to prosecution,.

Legally speaking. Roe versus Wade is a court opinion and it's a court opinion that was based upon faulted premise. The court got it wrong. It's a bad opinion and courts cannot make laws, according to the United States of America and our founding documents.

According to our law, courts cannot make law. Roe v. Wade is not a law and the states have the duty before God to reject the faulty opinion of a court that leads to the death of over 60 million human beings in the womb.
