Arizona’s Territorial Abortion Law and the Legislative Fight Ahead

Hey everyone, this is Zach Conover with End Abortion Now. As you may be following the situation here in Arizona, House Republicans blocked an effort by Democrats to repeal our territorial abortion law that's been on the books since the 1860s.

It was a victory yesterday in that they stopped that effort, but the fight is not over. They are likely to try again and bring this bill back in order to repeal this law, and the fight is now moving on to the Senate as well.

How to Register Opposition to HB 2677 and SB 1734

So here's where we need your help. If you live in the state of Arizona, there are two specific calls to action that I want to give you now. Number one, go to the AZ State Legislature's website and register your opposition to the two bills that are in the House and the Senate, HB 2677 and SB 1734.

Make sure to do so from your desktop. If you don't have an account, create one. And again, register your opposition to these two bills that would repeal our territorial abortion law on the books that would protect life.

Contacting Legislators to Defend the Abortion Ban

Secondly, there's going to be a list of the Senators and Representatives that you should contact before the session meets again next Wednesday that you can implore and plead with and encourage to do the right thing before God and protect babies in the state of Arizona.

These are professing pro-life Republicans that have publicly come out in opposition to upholding our territorial ban, and they need to hear from you. They need to be encouraged to do the right thing, and they need to be held accountable, especially because they are professing to be pro-life Republicans.
