Have you ever seen a Bible like this before? Probably not. It was the way it was originally written, all separate books and letters. But over time, we came up with convenient ways to combine them all into a single book.

The Challenges of Traditional Bible Formats

But there's some challenges with that. We've had to use really small fonts, printing columns, and use wafer-thin paper. While other formats are available, they're either really heavy or really expensive to produce.

And on top of that, trying to find Bibles in other languages can be really difficult, with very few options available. Which is why we've created a tool so you can print your own. Whatever books you want, whatever style you want, whatever language you want.

Custom Uses for Printed Bible Books

You can print it at home, or print professionally. There are many situations where this could be really useful. You could hand out individual books for evangelism. Or you could go for a book in a small group, with discussion questions added and space to write notes.

You could print out a book in any of the hundreds of languages available. Or you could study the original Greek and Hebrew in seminaries. Or print it out for your own personal reading. You can try it right now at paper .bible.

Creating and Printing a Custom Booklet

The first step is to choose what content you want. You can add Bible passages, or your own custom text. Next we're going to customize how it's going to look, with lots of different options available. Now we'll click create, and it's going to generate a PDF just for us.

We could submit this to a print-on-demand service to get it professionally done. But since this won't be a long book, we can just do it ourselves at home, using any home printer. The app has automatically arranged the pages in the correct order when folding as a book.

Printing Pages with the Correct Orientation

A key thing to remember though, is to print on both sides of the paper, flipping on short edge. If you've ever printed both sides before, you almost always choose long edge. But since we're printing in landscape, it has to be short edge, or half your pages will be upside down.

Folding, Binding, and Stapling the Booklet

If you want to make your booklet look nicer, print the first two pages on thicker paper, optionally with colour as well. We now simply need to fold our booklet and bind it. You can search for different ways to bind booklets online, but the quickest and easiest way is to simply staple it.

If you're printing lots of booklets, you might like to buy a long arm stapler like this one. But we'll show you an easy way to use any home stapler, as long as it can open up fully like this. Grab an eraser, and place it under the fold crease.

Make sure you staple through the cover and out to the centre of your booklet. Push the staple through the paper and into the eraser. Turn it over, pull out the eraser, and fold the staple yourself. Press down on the crease one more time, and there you have it, your own bible booklet.
