If you're clinging to something else other than Christ by faith this morning, this should be alarming to you. Why should it be alarming? Because God is going to judge your sin justly. Well, what is that going to look like?
Well, we see a picture of it on the cross, don't we? If you are clinging to other things to save you this morning other than Christ, I can assure you that if that does not change in your life, you will meet the judge.
He will do so justly. For your rebellion against God, that you would forsake your sin and self this morning and run to Jesus in faith. True, true. I am saying this. The gospel does bid us to come and die.
It does bid us to take up our cross and follow Jesus. But I'm also telling you, all the glory that awaits those who come to Christ in faith. That no matter what this world may dish out, no matter what Satan or the flesh or the world may try to do to us, if you're in Christ, glory awaits you.
And so let me just close. You are not a Christian. Lay down your sin. Lay down your stubbornness. Lay down your doing it your own way. Pint of those things. And clothe with Christ in faith. I hold Christ before you this morning, and I tell you under the authority of the Word of God that His suffering is sufficient for the sins of the whole world.
That's you. Come to Christ. I'm not asking you to come up here and take me by the hand. I'm not asking you to come through some sort of religious ceremony. I'm just asking where you're at right now, in your heart, to repent of all that you are and to trust all that He is.
To believe this gospel that you've heard this morning and look to Christ alone as your only suitable and all-sufficient Savior. Take up your cross.
