Brothers and sisters, friends, good morning. Welcome to the July 31, 2016, main day of the Zhengdao Festival. Today, the Jingwen of the Zhengdao Festival is recorded in the 10th chapter of the Ningshuji, Chapter 11 to 36.
The theme of the Zhengdao Festival is a good start. Brothers and sisters, friends, I think you have heard such a sentence. A good start is half of success. A good start is important. This is exactly what we are doing now.
I have spent some time and effort to prepare for the beginning of my Zhengdao. I hope that at the beginning of the Zhengdao, I can catch your attention, I hope that at the beginning of the Zhengdao, I can catch your attention, I want to ask you, have I succeeded?
At the court, after the ball is thrown, both players try their best to get points for their team. In this way, they can suppress the opponent's momentum and finally get the advantage. In the same way, at the beginning of the school term, the students do not want to set a good foundation for their studies at the very beginning.
In this way, they will not give up halfway, or fall into a dilemma at the end of the year. At the University of North Carolina, there is a well-known religious professor. He claims to be an extremely anti-Christian professor.
He strongly refutes the reliability of the Bible. The problem here is not his perspective on Christianity or his stance on it. The problem here is his background. When this professor was young, he was taught at a well-known Christian school.
At that time, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. Next, he completed the Bible studies course at the two well-known Christian schools. He also took the liberal arts courses at the two Christian schools.
I think he might even have the idea of becoming a full-time pastor. He might have a good start. We should ask ourselves, what kind of good start would we have with this background? How can we become a leader who is anti-Christian?
A good start is half of a success. This is a good statement, but it is not a certain thing. We still need to work hard and move forward. In the fourth chapter of the Book of Ephesians, we see that the Israelites, after the salvation of Jehovah, began to enter a new phase of their lives.
They were in Egypt. They saw Jehovah release them from the hands of Egypt through a real disaster. Through their hard work, they became free and became God's children. They also experienced the miracle of Jehovah.
They safely crossed the Red Sea. But Jehovah, through the Red Sea, drowned the powerful Egyptian soldiers. In the wilderness, they were accompanied by the clouds of God, me, and the light of fire, day and night.
They were accompanied by the coolness of the sky, and the sweet water that flowed from the rocks. They were also in the wilderness, accepting the divine law and the world. At this time, under the Mount Sinai, they had about a year to live.
Jehovah prepared for them to enter the land of Israel. The Israelites settled in front of Jehovah. It can be said that there was a good start. In the tenth chapter of the Book of Ephesians, it can be said that it was a new beginning for the new life of the Israelites.
It was a good start. Let's look at the three main points of their new beginning. First, the beginning or the beginning. If you have experience in moving houses, you will know that this is not an easy thing to do.
Especially when it comes to moving. I think that if we could, we would rather stay in the same place for a long time. But the Israelites had to start moving to the land of God. In the Book of Hebrews, the beginning or the beginning has the meaning of the eight stages.
The Israelites were living in a tent. They had to hit the strong knots on the ground. When they were moving, they had to pull up the knots. When they pulled up the knots, it had the meaning of moving to the land of God.
They did not stay in one place. In the 11th chapter, we read that the silver was taken away from the account book of the law. It means that God started to move the Israelites with them to the land of God.
In the 13th chapter, we read that they followed the commandment of Jehovah to move forward. So this is the first time for the Israelites to move forward from the land of God. Today, many Christians still stay in one place after becoming Christians.
But the new life of Christians is not like this. We have to pull up the knots. We have to move forward. After we repent, we believe in Jesus Christ. We are the people of the New Testament. We are the people of the New Testament.
We have to renew and become the people of the New Testament. So we have to pull up the knots. We have to follow the word of God. We have to have a pure heart. We have to pull up the knots and move forward in a bright way.
This is a good start. The second point is that the Israelites have to follow the plan to move forward. In the 13th chapter, they followed the commandment of Jehovah. Jehovah has a continuous plan to pull them up and move forward.
The Israelites are not like a mountain of sand. They move forward at their own will. When we read this passage in the New Testament, we feel that this passage is very long and boring. In addition, there are some people who are not familiar with us.
Therefore, when we read this passage in the New Testament, we can see the importance of this passage. That is, our God is in charge. He is in charge of our lives according to His will. Just like Jehovah at this time, Jehovah has a plan for the Israelites.
He is their leader. He is also our leader. But many times, we do not seek Him within ourselves. He gives us His will. We do not stop moving forward, or even move away from the right path. We do not follow the Lord.
We do not listen to His words. Even if there is a good start, we will eventually encounter setbacks. Just like what we said earlier about the professor at the university. So, when we know the Lord, we read the Bible in the book of the Lord Jesus Christ, we pray to Him, we pray to Him, and we seek His will.
We listen to His commandments. In this passage, we read that we need to see that this kind of prayer is for the whole nation, and not just for one group or one family. Just as the Church is the body of Christ, and Jesus is the leader of the Church, we need to connect with each other, support each other, and move forward.
Today's society is a system of self-centeredness, a system of self-righteousness. I remember a popular song in the 70s and 80s, the song was, I Did It My Way.
