Who is Jesus?

I was recently asked this when I was recording on the Five Solas podcast.

Who is Jesus?

Well, he is truly God and truly man.

He is God Almighty, eternal, has all the

attributes that God has.

Yet he became a man in flesh and had all the attributes of a

man as well.

Now the difference with him is that he was tempted and never sinned.

But I like how Paul provides an answer to this in

Colossians 1, 15 -19.

And in there, he states that Jesus is the image of the invisible God.

Jesus is the firstborn of all creation.

Jesus created everything that was created.

So therefore, he's creator.

That Jesus holds everything together.

That Jesus is the head of the church.

But all throughout that, what we must remember is that Paul says that he must be

preeminent.

So everything is about Christ.

Christ holds the universe that he created together because he is God.
