The Comfort of Faith

00:04
I invite you to take out your Bibles, and if you don't have a Bible, there's a Bible in the seat back in front of you, to open a Bible and turn to Genesis chapter 15.
00:28
Last week, I gave an exposition of Genesis 15, 1 to 6.
00:35
We looked at the narrative portion of the text.
00:39
God made a promise to Abram that he would have a nation.
00:43
Abram questioned God, I don't even have one child, I only have an adopted son.
00:49
God then tells him your offspring is going to be as massive as the stars.
00:55
And Genesis 15, 6 tells us Abram believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.
01:04
We also looked at the doctrine that undergirds that last verse.
01:10
We looked at what it means to be counted righteous before God.
01:16
We talked about how that is a counting term, and the doctrinal term comes from the Latin, it means to be imputed, it means to be charged to one's account.
01:27
We know that Abram was not righteous in and of himself, but he was credited as being righteous, because God imputed righteousness to him.
01:35
The Apostle Paul tells us that I have a righteousness not that comes from the law, but a righteousness which comes through faith in Jesus Christ, the righteousness of God which comes by faith.
01:49
We are not righteous in ourselves.
01:52
God imputes the righteousness of Christ to us.
01:56
The righteousness of Christ is perfect, because it is His.
02:01
And we are credited not a partial righteousness, but a perfect righteousness, whereby we stand having been declared righteous by faith alone.
02:14
Well, that was last week's lesson in a nutshell.
02:18
And I have decided today not to pursue going further into the text, but rather I have decided today that I want to spend another week looking into verse 6.
02:31
I want to camp out here one more time, because this passage is used over and over in the New Testament by the Apostle Paul to proclaim a truth about our faith, and that is that we are justified by faith alone in Christ alone and not of ourselves.
02:50
And my reason for stopping again and looking at this passage is I want to ask a simple question today.
02:56
What is faith? What is it? It says Abram believed God.
03:03
Later we know in the New Testament it says that he had faith.
03:07
In fact, Abram is called the man of faith in the book of Galatians.
03:13
What does it mean to have faith? And how is it the balm of our soul? The comfort in times of distress? We say all the time, we are justified by faith alone.
03:31
But what is faith? I want to invite you to stand to read.
03:37
We are going to read verses 1 to 6, but we are going to focus specifically on verse 6 today.
03:43
And then I am going to pray and ask God to be with us as we study.
03:58
Beginning in verse 1 it says, After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision.
04:04
Fear not, Abram, I am your shield, your reward shall be very great.
04:09
But Abram said, O Lord God, what will you give me? For I continue childless, and the heir of my house is Eleazar of Damascus.
04:18
And Abram said, Behold, you have given me no offspring, and a member of my household will be my heir.
04:27
Behold, the word of the Lord came to him, This man shall not be your heir, your very own son shall be your heir.
04:33
And he brought him outside and he said, Look toward heaven and number the stars if you are able to number them.
04:38
Then he said to him, So shall your offspring be.
04:43
And he believed the Lord, and he counted it to him as righteousness.
04:51
Father in heaven, I come to you in Jesus' name.
04:57
Lord, I ask in this moment that you would keep me from error.
05:02
For God, I am a fallible man and I am capable of preaching error, and I don't want to.
05:06
For the sake of your name, for the sake of my conscience, for the sake of your people, Lord, keep me from error.
05:11
But also, Lord, keep me from cowardice, that I might not be afraid to preach the truth, that I might not be afraid to preach that which is hard, that I would never seek to tickle the ears of men, Lord, but that I would seek to please my God and preach your word.
05:29
Lord, fill me with your spirit even now.
05:32
May your spirit move in this place.
05:34
And Lord, may those who know you be confronted with the word, conformed to the word, comforted by the word.
05:43
And may those who do not know you, Lord, may they today hear the gospel.
05:50
And Lord, may they believe it and be saved.
05:54
In Jesus' name.
05:56
Amen.
06:14
According to Accordance Bible Software, which is one of the programs that I use and study, the King James Bible translates the word faith 231 times in the 66 books of the Bible.
06:31
But it is interesting that the King James Bible only translates the word faith twice in the Old Testament.
06:40
229 of those times it is in the New Testament.
06:44
The majority of the times we see the word faith is in the New Testament.
06:49
But that does not mean or even insinuate that the concept of faith is a New Testament idea.
06:57
Faith is on display as far back as we can look in the Bible.
07:02
The Bible tells us by faith, Abel brought a better sacrifice than Cain.
07:07
It tells us by faith, Enoch walked with God and he was taken.
07:11
It tells us by faith, Noah built an ark.
07:16
And it calls Abram the man of faith.
07:21
If we go to Hebrews 11, you see the list.
07:24
It's called the hall of faith.
07:26
And it gives one after another, after another, after another of men and women who were people of faith.
07:36
In fact, it can be rightly said that all of God's elect have one mutual trait.
07:42
There is one thing that all of God's elect possess.
07:47
And it is ubiquitous, it is universal, it is not something that you can be missing if you are one of God's elect.
07:54
And that is faith.
07:58
Genuine faith.
07:59
We don't all have the same giftings.
08:02
We don't look alike, we don't sound alike.
08:04
A lot of us don't act alike.
08:08
But we have faith.
08:11
That is the common denominator of all of the elect.
08:18
Well, might I say it's the common denominator that all the elect will eventually have.
08:23
There are elect people walking around yet who have yet to believe, but they will.
08:27
Let me be clear.
08:30
God's elect were elect before the foundations of the world and yet some of them have yet to come to faith.
08:34
Some of you may be among them.
08:36
You may not be in faith today.
08:38
But if you are numbered among God's people, he will draw you to himself and his time, and it may be today.
08:46
But again I ask, what is faith? What is it that all elect have in common? What did Abraham have that caused God to count him as righteous? Some people might think that this question is too simple.
09:02
We might think the question, what is faith? I mean, we all know what that is.
09:08
It means you believe.
09:10
Faith is simply believing.
09:13
And there is truth to that.
09:15
The concept of faith and believing is used interchangeably in the New Testament.
09:21
In fact, the word pistos, pistouo, that's the Greek word for faith or belief.
09:26
It's used throughout the New Testament.
09:27
Sometimes translated faith, sometimes translated belief.
09:30
So there is a sense in which that is true.
09:33
Abraham believed God and was counted him as righteousness.
09:36
Whosoever believes in Christ will be saved.
09:39
We know that faith and belief do go together.
09:41
There's a root connection between faith and believing.
09:44
But I wanna say something to you that I hope doesn't pierce your heart too hard, but I do want it to pierce your heart some.
09:50
Faith, let me start again.
09:54
Belief is not always faith.
09:58
And I'll quote scripture to you.
10:02
James 2, verse 19, you believe that God is one, you do well, even demons believe and shudder.
10:11
This tells us that there is belief that is not true faith.
10:15
We would call it false faith.
10:17
James calls it dead faith.
10:18
You can believe certain truths about God and yet still not be saved.
10:28
And the reformers had to wrestle with this.
10:30
The reformers, they had the five solas and the one that was the article upon which the church stood or fell, according to Martin Luther, was the doctrine of sola fide, justification by faith alone.
10:43
And so the reformers had to define their terms clearly to their audiences so that people understood what they meant when they said that you were justified by faith alone.
10:52
Because you know what their enemies thought that meant.
10:57
Their enemies thought that that meant that simply all you had to do was tip your hat towards Jesus and that was faith.
11:06
And isn't that what it is in a lot of churches today? That faith is nothing more than a tip of the hat, a raise of the hand, a sign of a card, maybe get wet, and that's all faith is.
11:20
But the reformers said, no, we need to define our terms and we need to make sure that the world and the church specifically understands what we mean by sola fide, justification by faith alone.
11:33
What is faith? And so they began to break down the constituent parts of faith.
11:40
They said faith has three essential elements.
11:44
They used three Latin phrases, and you know me, I like Latin almost as much as Greek.
11:51
The Latin phrases that they used were notitia, assensus, and fiducia.
11:58
And those three statements, those three phrases, those three parts were the constituent parts of faith.
12:05
The first is notitia, and if you're taking notes and you don't know how to spell it, don't worry about it.
12:11
I'll email you my notes later.
12:14
Notitia is the idea of the content of what is believed.
12:18
It is the claims.
12:20
It's the truth.
12:22
It's what is the knowledge that must be known about what you're believing.
12:32
Assensus is the acceptance of the content.
12:38
This is where a lot of people get, and no further.
12:43
In fact, I don't like the phrase accept Jesus.
12:47
Now, if you use that phrase, and you mean by it something different than I do, maybe it's fine.
12:53
I'm not here to challenge your use of language.
12:56
But when I hear somebody say accept Jesus, it's like, okay, I don't really, it's sort of like when somebody gives you a bad medical diagnosis.
13:05
You don't want it, but you accept it.
13:08
It's certainly not the language of trust.
13:14
So the idea of assensus is to accept that something is true.
13:19
But fiducia is the idea of trusting in something.
13:25
It's relying upon something.
13:27
And the best example that I've ever been able to find, and many of you have heard me give this example.
13:31
If you think I'm repeating myself today, you're not wrong.
13:34
But the key to learning is repetition, and repetition is the key to learning.
13:37
So the only things I remember my professors ever said were the things they repeated more than once.
13:43
So don't give me a hard time.
13:46
It's okay.
13:47
But the example that I think is a great example, and you may find some fault with this example and understand that there is no analogy that doesn't break down under certain scrutiny, so understand that it's not a perfect example.
14:03
But I think it's a good one, and it is the example of a parachute.
14:09
Because if I think of notitia, notitia is the content of the knowledge of something.
14:16
I know how a parachute works.
14:19
I know that a parachute is designed to open up and to catch the air and to slow the descent of a person who is plummeting to the ground, to slow their descent to such a point that that person is able to land safely without major injury.
14:38
I understand things like wind resistance.
14:42
I understand things like terminal velocity.
14:45
And so that helps me in my mind understand the concept of how a parachute works.
14:50
That's my notitia.
14:52
That's my content of knowledge.
14:55
A census is my acceptance.
14:57
I fully accept that a parachute would work because I've seen it happen.
15:03
I remember one day I was at the shooting range with some guys and we look out and we see a plane going overhead and bodies start falling out of the plane.
15:11
And I start praying, I hope they're tied to chutes because this would be a really awkward thing to see.
15:17
And one at a time, poof, poof, poof, the parachutes popped open and slowly those men were brought to the ground.
15:26
So not only do I have the notitia, I have the knowledge of how it works, not only do I have that, but I have a census.
15:33
I accept that it does work, but by the mercy of God, I ain't stepping on no plane.
15:41
I do not have fiducia when it comes to parachutes.
15:47
You don't understand how many men it would take me to get off that plane if all I had was a big piece of vinyl strapped to my back.
15:53
You just don't understand.
15:55
You would need more than you got.
15:59
Understand that is the difference between accepting that something is true and trusting in it.
16:07
I don't trust in a parachute, but I accept that it's true.
16:12
I mean, really.
16:18
So faith is more than just knowing and accepting the claims of the Bible.
16:24
Faith is placing your trust in what the Bible says.
16:30
Remember what I said last week about Abram? It doesn't say, well, in some translations it says, Abram believed in God and was counted in for righteousness, but I don't think that that preposition in should be there.
16:41
It's Abram believed God.
16:43
And that's the biggest difference in the world, believing in God versus believing God.
16:49
And faith is not just believing in him, it's believing him.
16:53
It's trusting in him.
16:55
It's putting your whole self in his hands and saying, I am thine, O Lord.
17:00
I belong to you.
17:03
You are the only one who's holding me up.
17:06
You're the only one who's keeping me going.
17:08
I am thine, O Lord.
17:11
And thou art mine.
17:15
Currently I'm counseling some young people from baptism.
17:21
We had a baptism earlier this year, a young lady.
17:24
And a few others have come forward and asked to be baptized.
17:29
And so I want you to understand this.
17:32
I take this very seriously.
17:35
Our elders take this very seriously.
17:39
Many churches take kids as young and as quick as they can get them into the baptismal font.
17:47
But I want you to know that I want them to understand what it means to trust God.
17:53
And that's why we spend time with them in counseling.
17:57
That's why we spend time week after week after week reading Scripture, asking questions.
18:02
And again, I'm not trying to be overbearing or overly persnickety, but I want to know that they know what it means to trust the Lord.
18:12
In 2014, a study was done in the Southern Baptist Convention about the declining number of baptisms.
18:17
You know what that study found? There was only one group of people in the Southern Baptist Convention where there were a rise in baptisms, and it was the five and unders.
18:26
You know, we give the Presbyterians a hard time about infant baptism, and here we are, baptizing them right out of diapers.
18:39
Now, I'm not saying a little one cannot know the Lord.
18:42
I believe they can.
18:43
But often these children have no real sense of what it means to trust in the Lord, to recognize their sin, and to repent of it.
18:51
And we are credo-baptists.
18:54
You understand what that means? The term credo means I believe.
18:58
It's another Latin phrase.
19:00
It means to believe.
19:01
And a credo-baptist is a person who says that the faith precedes the baptism.
19:07
That the confession precedes the action.
19:12
And that is what we hold to firmly in our convictions as a church.
19:17
We only apply the sign of baptism to someone who has made a personal profession of faith in Jesus Christ and repentance of sin.
19:28
And part of what happens when that child or that adult or whomever it is is baptized is you're saying to the world, I trust in Jesus Christ.
19:38
And you ought to know what it means to trust in Jesus Christ.
19:42
In the ancient world, it meant to separate yourself.
19:46
In the ancient world, it would often mean leaving your family behind.
19:52
It would often mean leaving your job or your inheritance behind.
19:57
It would sometimes mean taking your own life in your hands as you came out of that baptismal pool and there were men waiting with swords to take your life.
20:10
And beloved, it still happens today.
20:13
There are places in the world where it is illegal to follow Christ.
20:18
There are places in the world where nobody is going to clap if you get baptized.
20:27
Sometimes trusting in Christ means to risk your own life to wait for your imprisonment or worse.
20:36
I mean, ask yourself this question.
20:38
Would you still trust in Christ if it cost you everything? Would you still trust in Christ if your family hated you for it? Would you still trust in Christ if the law forbade you? And I know the question is always answered the same way.
20:59
I hope so.
21:01
I hope so.
21:08
I want to give you three thoughts today as a way of application about having genuine trust in Christ.
21:16
Three things that might make you move from an I hope so to I know.
21:25
Three things that will help you move from I hope so to I know.
21:30
Number one, you cannot trust Christ if you do not know Him.
21:36
You cannot trust Christ if you do not know Him.
21:41
What do we tell our kids about strangers? Don't trust strangers.
21:47
I mean, literally, that's the phrase, right? We tell our kids, don't trust strangers.
21:50
And that's right because you don't trust people you don't know.
21:56
You know, there's something called xenophobia.
21:58
Xenophobia can be bad because it leads to things like racism and hypernationalism and things like that.
22:02
But we are all naturally a little xenophobic because when we meet somebody we don't know.
22:05
We don't know whether we can trust them or not.
22:08
And we teach that to our kids.
22:10
Because when you meet somebody in the store, you don't walk away with them.
22:13
Because you don't know if this is a good man or a bad man.
22:16
Right? This is why we tell our kids to look for a uniformed officer.
22:20
You know, because that's good guys.
22:22
And if you get lost, look for somebody in a uniform to help you.
22:26
Because at least you know they have something of trust by God's grace.
22:30
But in general, you don't let your kids walk off with somebody you've never met before.
22:33
You don't walk off with somebody you've never met before because they're strangers to you.
22:41
Think about it when people come to church.
22:44
People join the church.
22:46
We're strangers at the beginning, aren't we? And it's hard to build trust.
22:49
Some of you are brand new here.
22:51
You've only been here a few weeks.
22:52
And you come around.
22:53
You look at people.
22:53
Everybody looks nice.
22:54
Dressed nice.
22:55
Shaking your hand and everything.
22:56
But you don't trust us yet.
22:57
And we don't trust you yet.
22:59
Because we're growing.
23:01
I mean, we're being honest, right? Because we're growing.
23:04
I want to trust you.
23:05
And I'm going to open my heart to you.
23:07
And you want to trust me.
23:08
That's what we're doing.
23:09
We want to trust each other.
23:10
But how do you do that? You've got to get to know each other.
23:13
You've got to open your houses to each other.
23:15
You've got to go to dinner together.
23:16
You've got to spend some time together.
23:18
You've got to build trust.
23:20
And you build trust by getting to know someone.
23:22
I will tell you this.
23:23
If you don't get to know Jesus, you will never trust Him.
23:26
If you don't draw closer to Him and get to know Him better, you will never come to trust Him any better than you do right now.
23:34
Votie Bauckham said this.
23:36
He said, Passionate people with empty heads who love the Jesus, they don't know.
23:45
Passionate people with empty heads who love the Jesus, they don't know.
23:51
We wonder why the church is in the state of sin.
23:54
Many people in the church just don't know Jesus.
23:59
So I ask you, do you know Jesus? Do you know about His sinless life? Do you know about the work He did on the cross? Do you know that He is the God-Man? Do you know Him? You can't trust Him if you don't know Him.
24:20
That's number one.
24:22
Number two, you can't know Christ apart from His Word.
24:26
You can't trust Him if you don't know Him.
24:28
That's number one.
24:29
And you can't know Him if you don't know His Word.
24:35
There is only one authoritative source by which we come to know Christ.
24:41
And what is it? The Word of God.
24:44
It's not a gut feeling.
24:46
It's not a still small voice.
24:48
It is the Bible.
24:50
This is how we come to know God.
24:52
Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by what? By the Word of God.
24:59
One of the most dangerous lies people believe today is that they can have a relationship with Jesus without knowing the Bible.
25:07
They don't need to have the Word of God because I have a private relationship with Jesus.
25:12
Here is the truth.
25:13
He didn't call you to a private relationship.
25:15
He called you to a public community relationship with the church, His bride.
25:20
Jesus doesn't have a bunch of mistresses living in their own houses.
25:24
He says, come and be part of My bride.
25:27
And this is where we learn the Word.
25:28
And this is where we learn about Jesus.
25:30
Your private thoughts and private gut feelings cannot be the standard.
25:35
The standard must be the Word of God.
25:37
And if we disagree with Scripture, know that we are wrong, not the Word.
25:43
When I met Jennifer, we went to different schools.
25:47
I was in West Nassau.
25:48
She was at Sand...
25:51
I don't know where she was.
25:52
I can't remember.
25:54
Sandalwood.
25:54
Sandalwood.
25:55
She's going to get mad.
25:56
I can't remember.
25:59
But I was at West Nassau.
26:00
She was at Sandalwood.
26:02
And her parents only let us see each other once a week.
26:05
We could only see each other from 6 o'clock to 10 o'clock on Friday night.
26:08
Every other time of the week, I was forbade.
26:13
So how did we get to know each other? Letters.
26:19
And phone calls.
26:20
We didn't have text messages.
26:22
But what I did have is I had a beeper.
26:25
Your kid's a beeper.
26:27
Never mind.
26:28
It's a...
26:28
She would text 143.
26:32
And those of you who had beepers, it means I love you.
26:36
143.
26:38
And we got to know each other by what we wrote and the talks that we had.
26:44
Let me ask you a question.
26:45
If I only spent that four hours with her every Friday, you think I would have gotten to know her very much? You think she would have felt loved and adored? We'd wake up before school.
26:54
We'd call each other.
26:56
We'd call each other as soon as we got home.
26:58
We did that our whole senior year because we loved each other.
27:02
We wanted to be together.
27:04
I ask you this.
27:05
Do people have to make you go to the Word of God? Or is there a desire in your heart to know your Lord Jesus? Do you love Him? How do you get to know Him through His Word? That's how we know.
27:19
So that's number two.
27:20
Number three, and I'll start to draw to a close.
27:23
Number three is this.
27:24
The desire to trust Christ and to know God's Word is a gift of grace.
27:32
The desire to trust Christ and to know God's Word is a gift of grace.
27:35
Faith is not something you conjure up on your own.
27:39
And you might think when you read Genesis 15-6 it says, Abram believed God and it was counted as righteousness.
27:44
You might think that that was Abram's contribution.
27:46
Like God contributed the righteousness.
27:48
Abram contributed the faith.
27:50
And they had a little back and forth transaction and that was the way the transaction.
27:53
No, that's not how it works.
27:55
God is the one who opens up our heart to believe.
27:58
God is the one who actually gives us a gift and that gift is the ability to trust in Him.
28:04
The Bible says that there is none righteous, no not one, there is none who understands, there is none who what? Seeks after God.
28:11
I wasn't seeking God.
28:13
At 19 years old I was not seeking God.
28:16
God sought me.
28:18
And He saved me.
28:20
If you're saved, you didn't seek after Him, He sought after you.
28:23
And He saved you.
28:27
And Jesus said, No man can come to me except the Father who sent me draws him.
28:32
That's the Spirit coming in and bringing us to Him.
28:36
That is the gift.
28:38
And repentance is a gift.
28:39
2 Timothy 2.25 tells us that God grants repentance.
28:42
Faith is assigned to us by God.
28:45
Romans 12.3 The Bible is over and over replete with these reminders that it's a gift of God.
28:50
So if you're a believer today, you need to thank God that you're a believer.
28:58
You didn't arrive at this place because you were smarter.
29:00
You didn't arrive at this place because you were more spiritually sensitive.
29:02
You didn't arrive at this place because you had a more pliable heart.
29:05
You had a heart of stone.
29:08
You had a heart that was dead in trespasses and sins.
29:10
But God made you alive together with Christ.
29:12
By grace you have been saved through faith and that is not of yourselves.
29:16
It is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
29:19
It is all of God and not of us.
29:23
So faith is from God.
29:29
And faith in Christ is the foundation of the Christian life.
29:34
I want to say this.
29:35
If you get nothing else out of today, take this home with you.
29:38
Put it in your mind.
29:39
Faith is not something we do to get saved.
29:45
Faith is the life we live once God saves us.
29:50
We don't just believe once and get saved.
29:53
But God saves us and our life becomes a life of faith.
29:58
From beginning to end.
29:59
I want you to turn in your Bibles with me to this passage.
30:03
Galatians 2, verse 20.
30:06
I was just talking about this yesterday.
30:09
With you all.
30:14
And hear what the Apostle Paul writes about his own life.
30:21
Galatians 2, verse 20.
30:22
He says this.
30:22
I am crucified with Christ.
30:28
And yet I live.
30:30
Yet not I.
30:33
But Christ lives in me.
30:36
And the life which I now live, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.
30:47
That's the life you now live if you are in Christ.
30:51
You live a life of faith.
30:54
Faith in the Son of God.
30:56
Can you say that today? Can you say that the life I now live, I live by faith.
31:03
I live trusting day by day, moment by moment, second by second, trusting in the Son of God who gave himself for me.
31:13
I entitled this message, The Comfort of Faith.
31:16
That may seem odd because really I did the definition of faith.
31:19
But I wanted to end with this.
31:20
And I'm driving toward this point.
31:23
This week we have had a lot of hurt.
31:25
Brother Mike already prayed about it.
31:26
We already talked about it.
31:27
But my hope today was to remind us that there is a place of comfort in times of distress.
31:34
And that place is in the arms of Jesus Christ who we can trust and who loves us and cares for us and comforts us and embraces us.
31:44
And I truly do not know how the unbeliever can do it.
31:47
I really don't.
31:48
I do not know how the unbeliever can face a day and a week like we've had.
31:56
And if you are an unbeliever today, if you came here today and you do not know the Lord, I don't care how old you are.
32:05
I don't care how long you've been coming here.
32:09
If you do not know the Lord today, I want to encourage you to repent of your sin and trust in Jesus.
32:17
In fact, I want to encourage you.
32:18
I want to urge you.
32:20
By the Word of God, the Word commands us repent and trust in Jesus.
32:24
The first words that Jesus preached was repent and believe the Gospel.
32:34
So I'll leave you with this.
32:37
The Heidelberg Catechism is one of the most beautifully written of the Reformed documents and it says this.
32:48
This is page one of the Heidelberg Catechism.
32:53
What is your only comfort in life and in death? That's the question.
33:00
Here's the answer.
33:03
That I am not my own but belong body and soul in life and in death to my faithful Savior Jesus Christ.
33:18
That's my comfort.
33:20
And that's the comfort of faith.
33:23
Let's pray.
33:26
Father, I thank You for Your Word.
33:28
I thank You for the comfort that Your Word provides through faith in Your Son.
33:35
I pray even now as we begin to express our faith through the participation and the ordinance of communion.
33:41
And Lord, as we remember the body and blood of Jesus Christ, may our faith be fully confirmed in Him.
33:49
And Lord, for those who don't know Christ, Lord, that even right now that You begin to take out that heart of stone, put in a heart of flesh.
33:56
Lord, that they might have a heart that beats for You.
34:00
And Lord, that they might trust You today.
34:03
In Jesus' name.
34:05
Amen.
